- Hey everyone, here is a play through from Contrarian's latest album with the title To Perceive is to Suffer. Check that album out, its absolutely awesome!! This is the third album i do for Contrarian and we will definitely go with a new one soon ;-)

Amazing. F***ing brilliant. Creative, intelligent, really great variety of parts that really compliment the tune so well. Always will be Nile #1 for me as far as GK goes but his solo work and his criminally underrated set of skills and people should check out how many albums you have laid down a phenomenal array of work. I hope to see you in some capacity SOON! Thanks. :)

George Kollias: On drumtalk you said you had hundreds of hours of drumming videos that you were not sure you would put on youtube because of the haters and douchebags commenting. DUDE POST THEM AS THEY ARE. You're an artist and you should release your art. I had no desire to drum until I watched you play, more might take them up and learn if you posted these videos.

@@boobtubenoob7061 I get that if you're an unknown session drummer but Kollias is one of the most well known metal drummers out there. He doesn't need to promote anything but his band. And there are videos of him out there where he's not fully on his game and he is making mistakes, which is not even remotely surprising considering the level at which he plays but that is drumming. Its a struggle. Kollias has taught like many great drummers and I was and am speaking from the perspective of inspiring others to play.

Yeah with nile he (not only him but the whole band)got pretty Stale and uneven sadly their last while good is not even remotly close to their Classic material!..Great to see him doing this

That was f***ing wicked! You manage to not have any of Nile's influence which opens you up to your more creative side. That was really creative, tight, great parts and suited the music and was just so - ON! You always manage to surprise me; albeit, in a good way. *winks* Cannot f***ing wait for the new Nile record. Any idea of release date? Late summer? :)
Of course there is George Kollias, who is influential with his blast beats, double bass drumming, and a knack for purposeful tempo changes, the man who sounds like Nile, here!

Didn't really like the effects, but the drumming was top notch as usual.
f* mass video editing out there, yes, lol, apparently drumming is not enough, one needs to handle low end cam effects to keep listening to it, lol.
I think it fits the vibe of the song, at least in George's context. It's a different, proggy, kinda abstract song for him and his playing matches it. I can see where he was going with it.

visual fx on this vid are annoying! I was unable to see till the end due to this. Just cant concentrate on seeing actual techniquie due blinking glitches and blurs. Leave FX for music videos not playthroughs/educational !

I think a 12 year old with an android phone could do better. Amazing drumming, but taken away from the experience by someone learning how to edit video for the first time. One filter sure, but that was way too many.
