Mein ustad faiyaz khan Saab or ustad Sharafat Hussain Khan Saab ki gayaki pasand karta hu or uski tarha ki awaaz pasand karta hu par panditji ki awaaz aur unki gayaki ne mujhe bohot prabhavit Kiya .. waah kya awaaz maza aagaya.

This is the ultimate Bhibhas out there. However it was not at any Sangeet Sabha but at a shabby hall in Chembur. I know because I was there. Acoustics were awful but he was in such magnificent form nothing could dampen his enthusiasm that morning. Most of us were sitting baithak style, and I was lucky enough to be sitting just a few feet away. The mild wah wahs you hear around 23:28 don't really capture what happened. Even today I can recall how the entire audience went into a sort of collective rapture at that moment. People looked at each other as if to ask "Did you get that!"
He followed this with a Yamani Bilawal and a couple of Bhairavi pieces. There is a CD of the whole concert by a company called Pyramid International.
Lucky person to enjoy the Bibhas live. And now enjoying it through You Tube. Very rare piece.

@@vintageaudio54 Thank you Asokanji. Have been admirer of Mansurji since 1992, but had limited recordings. Visited his house in Dharwad and also could get some CDs from AIR/Doordarshan at Dharwad some 10-12 yrs back. Collection on you tube now seems excellent, thanks to fans like you. Regards.

After listening to mallikarjun mansoor and kishori amonkar anybody can get a glimpse of jaipur gharana
Perfect rendering of divinely refined voice. Samadhi or Transdental stage of performance.
Less use of Rishabh than Kishori jis rendition ...makes this rendition different than taai... Most of the times glides from gandhar to shadaj ..😅👌
Undoubtedly I am not so great to comment on these stalwarts but I like such small small things which distinguishes the style and approach 😅
