Ha ha thanks, I think 🤣 The Meteor 650 is a keeper. How can I part with the first Meteor 650 to ever have a belt drive fitted? But it may get a new paddock mate 🤣🙏
Morning Teacher T. Wow well impressed with the flat flying camera, whatever next. First time ive seen that demonstrated. Im in the market for a new tank bag for next years ride to Cornwall. Staying near Tintagel this time 👍😊. Going to buy new leather throw-over saddle bags as the set my late wife bought in in 1987 finally died. I treat all my leather gear, including my leather jacket and gloves with dubbing wax. Something i was shown when i was just 14-years old by older bikers. Back then they called me the 'Pup'! On our way to Folmouth the last one hour and twenty minutes it hammered down with rain. My leather jacket and my leather boots kept me dry honestly. Hope this helps? Safe cruising till next time 🤘😊...

I wish I was clued up enough to do affiliate links. Just Google Hover Air X1. It is very good. There is now a new 4K version just released, called the Hower Air X1 pro max. That is awesome, but I’m happy with mine. It will auto follow, circle, or motion track. Get some great shots. 🙏
Nice review. Not sure that even in Thailand I’d have a magnetic bag on my tank with no other attachments containing my wallet, phone and expensive tech gear ready for snatching in the traffic, even before I’d shown and advertised what it contains. Good luck with that.
Thanks for the review. Rode SM650 for more 1500 kms across bad , good, and awesome roads and decided not to buy it as the suspension especially on bad to ok roads literally killed me. Given u tour and bad roads are 50% , had to give up. Loved the bike but not as a main tourer. You were one key inspiration for me trying the SM650
I do hope Royal Enfield take note of these comments. Like you the original suspension nearly broke my back. Since upgrading to after market shocks, the bike is much better, but still not 100% perfect. Since changing the seats also, we are nearly there. Out long tour will put all upgrades to the test. 🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand Have you rode on bad roads for longer period with the changed suspension and seats? As a cruiser there is only so much that can be done . Wish RE offers a better suspension at additional cost
@@RamanathanSrinivasan yes I have, and the ride quality has increased 90%. It really underlines the poor quality of the original shock absorbers. Don’t spend money on noisy exhausts, until you spend money upgrading the suspension first. 🙏
Yes, I’m looking forward to that also. Those original exhausts are too heavy and not the best of sound. It’s just that the choice is vast. Struggling to decide which brand to for for 🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand If performance is a priority, here in India we have SS Motocorp Full system exhausts and if you want sound we have KP Racing (Stock Replica Exhaust), I won't siggest going for RRP, AEW, Gursewak, Rhino Racing as they are way too loud for SM650 and ruining the 270° crank sound.
A good review. I picked one of these puppies up in Delhi recently for my classic 350. The paint scratching issue - I put some electronic film on the tank but it doesn’t look nice (creasing and clouding), however it does protect. Perhaps polish applied more often might be good. Those magnets are super strong.
Yes. Regular wax polishing of the tank will help. Also carrying a microfibres cloth to clean the tank and the back of the bag each time is recommended by trip machine. Thanks for mentioning 🙏
Nice review. One question though, doesn’t the tank bag damage the surface (paint) of your bike’s tank? Or what do you do to prevent it from scratching?
Good point. I forgot about that. They recommend you clean the back of the bag each time with a cloth to remove and potential of scratching. Also the tank. I do keep my tank well polished with wax. So hopefully protected. I will keep you informed. 🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand thanks for your swift reply! I am certainly considering purchasing such a tank bag for my meteor 350 😏 So your review of it will be very beneficial for me and, i suppose, for many others!
Morning. I used a tank bag on my Honda Shadow. Like Teacher T said, clean the magnetic areas before mounting. I also used a cheap car wax to help protect my paintwork. A damp microfiber cloth put the polish on, then a clean dry microfiber cloth to bring out the shine on the 'gloss' paintwork. In the six years of use I only got a tiny scratch once. Guess who didn't clean the four magnetic pads first? Hope this helps you sir.

Thanks John. Thanks for helping at the humble beginnings 👌🙏
I bought the smaller handbag with window for the phone. This brand is a little bit expensive but the materials and quality are good.
They gave me the phone case also, for a modular fit to the bag. It will feature on out trip soon. Agree, expensive but real quality. 🙏
