Lies may get you further in life in some situations (not all) but I disagree with lies beating the Truth. A lie or a manipulation only works for as long as the Truth remains silent, but, as soon as the Truth is spoken then the lies just fall to pieces since the Truth makes more sense than the lie, that's why it's called the Truth.
Why you think Government whistleblowers are in danger? Because when the whistleblower speaks the Truth then the lies fall to pieces, and so they become targets of the Government in order to silence the Truth. The Truth needs to remain silenced in order for a lie to continue working. That's why people shouldn't lie, because in the end if it's exposed by the Truth then the liar will reap what he sows, and the bigger the lie sown, the worse he will reap!
Imagine if someone lied about another person and the 50 people he lied to about the other person turned on the innocent person, but then the Truth is spoken and those 50 people will then turn against the liar instead, but what if he told 100 people the lie? or a 1000 people before the Truth finally came out? Then the liar will have more people that he has been exposed to as a liar which makes it even worse. That's reaping and sowing.
