    I always have a lot of trouble with these markers. Every time I do I go on youtube and then become very disappointed with what the other channels have. The other channels always talk so damn much about nothing, and never really show how they color using them.
    Not with this one though, and Im pretty happy to watch Reiq work. It motivated me to try more with my own artwork, the pattern making part was the best.
    Im glad to see a professional know how to actually use these markers. Thanks for the videos and the helpful tips.

    gonna get the $5 patreon teir for that grey scale tutorial. btw my favorite paper to use with copic/marker is the "blending card by Ex-press it" since card stock feels way better on markers.

    I have been using copics markers for years as I'm a card maker and art journaler. I have watched many videos on Copic Coloring and yours is the first one that actually says to do this technique leaving white space as your highlight!!!!instead of the typical 3 color blend (lay down color with light then shade with medium color then go back and forth blending between light and medium and medium and dark). Thank you I'm excited to try this!!!!

    WOW!! I ADORE your style and I'm trying to emulate it, and this was incredibly helpful!! I had no idea artists went over a colored area so many times!
    I thought it was one layer and done. No wonder my art was looking so flat! Thank you so much for this video!!

    My man, I have been waiting forever for you to do a Copic art video. Would love for you to do more as well as show exactly what colors you use. Regarding paper for marker work, have you checked out Rendr sketchbooks by Crescent? They are amazing and you can use both sides. Look forward to more from you as I am learning so much!

    Amazing work man! There's just one thing missing imo, the pink ( stripes... Traces... idk the name LUL ) on her face, i think that's one of the keypoints of making the character looking like D.Va. I really love it, I wish I get close to your level someday.

    Hi REIQ, great video as always, as a note to the video, actually you could refill the microns, obviously you must find an ink compatible with watercolor/copic. As always thank you.

    • @REIQ
      @REIQ  6 років тому +2

      Santiago Barriga of course you can, but it's not the official use of the marker, they don't have that option. Of course you can open a whole and it's done haha

  • @AkaneEnjeru
    @AkaneEnjeru 6 років тому

    Idk how you get microns to work because using a yellow copic causes it to bleed and smudge my lines, no matter how long I wait for the ink to dry

    • @GeekedOutNeckbeard
      @GeekedOutNeckbeard 6 років тому +1

      Vivienne Gray might depend on the paper you are using. Which type do you throw down the inks on?
      Cause imo the Sakura Microns and any other brand of multi-liner is garbage cause they have a drastic level of fading from their original, and dark black pigment...
      I found dip pens to be the best. While the method and techniques are a little bit harder the end result is gorgeous, plus you get that "line width and variety" all artists are getting boners for. It's great, plus erasing doesn't even fade the ink by any noticeable amount.
      Get Deleter 4 ink for a dip pen and you'll have it good. No smudge or bleed with your copics.

    • @AkaneEnjeru
      @AkaneEnjeru 6 років тому

      Makoto Kazuki I'll look into it thanks :) and you're right about the microns. They end up imprinting the next page but thank gosh it is just in my sketchbook
