Hey this is Dandahermit. Told you I'm 80 n apparently starting to get a little foggy brained. We were having a conversation about leaf springs on a Tracker. I don't know to find that string of texts so just wanted to tell you --- of course you were right (;I'm glad cause it worried me) been bout 7 years since I worked on the Tracker and forgot the kids had brought me a Samari to do brakes on. That's the one I was remembering the rear leaf springs on. Duh. Imbarrassing. Thanks for your patience. Dan

I was gifted my sons 95' 2 door Tracker last week for fathers day and amazingly he had purchased all the exact same components as you have here (except the tires) right down to the camber bolts with the funny looking washer. he even has a stainless block dropdown for the control arm for lenghthening it! Everything is exactly the same, (though he got new struts and springs to fit the lift so withthespacers it's a full on 2.5") and exact same size 16/7 flat black wheels and center cones, so your video is EXACTLY what i will need to repeat the project on my new Tracker! with a little extra hardware but your vid allows for the extra parts! ( he was almost $1200 into this project purchases with the spring compressor he also bought instead of renting 🤔😦😩 I also have a Jeep wrangler JK with soft top so i thought i'd paint the tracker the same Silver shade as the jeep and manufacture an expedition rack to match my jeeps expedition rack! Having twin big brother and little brother off road ragtops will be awesome!
***Thanks for your phsycic channeling of my exact needs! i will take your suggestion though and go to the 95/30 tire to save the cutting, folding and persuading you did!***
Wow ! I also have the same dial Caliper tool you use in the bumper video! Wish i had the tube bender too🤣 SUBBED FOR LIFE!!!!

34:10 i was looking into the 215/85/16 tires with a 115 load rating. Currently I have the 235/75/15 trailrunners 105 load rating on stock rims 28mm offset, but there are suzuki xl-7 rims that have a 3-7mm offset. The 215/85/16 give you almost 31” but are skinnier to give you better clearance lock to lock.

Running 3” susp lift with 31s, went the route of slotting the top slot but even maxed out I’m not achieving correct camber. Someone told me to grind down the knuckle a bit but going to try a camber bolt on bottom instead

Probably no body lift on this one. It’s a purpose build for fuels reduction (selective logging) and it’s mostly side hilling. So if tires hit, I will clearance the body instead moving any weight up. So far, it only needs some minor “adjustments “. 😆

There are not a lot of options, however there is one easy one if yours is an automatic. 5 speed differentials will put you back almost exactly to where you were. If it’s a 5 speed already, your only option I’m aware of will be gearing the transfer case low range gears, which is the best upgrade I’ve done, but that will only help in 4 low, and won’t do squat for high range. I’ll post a video of the transfer case gear install separately.
