  • Just got my hands on one of the (now) few GAS 18V-12 MC, so i uploaded an unedited video (all in one shot) to share w/the Bosch Professional Tool Owners Group on FB.
    Sorry for the bad effort! Might be worth a watch in lack of any other videos though, for now.
    The GAS 18V-12 is a highly anticipated vacuum, not only because it runs on 18V but because it ships with a little wireless chip that you can slap on your mitre saw, plunge saw or what have you - and it automatically switches on the vacuum once it senses vibration!
    That, and the M-class filter which removes most of the dust particles I’ll come by day to day made this a no-brainer.

    At 2:30 secs I thought I was going to break the lid for the battery compartment, but I quickly realized that that's because it triggers the "semi-automated" filter cleaning - which is the lid mechanism "clacking" the filter for debris.

      Great Video, i own the first version with an l class certification and i am not really happy with it. It lost much of its suction power in the first weeks and began to get louder and louder haha. Did you have similar experience with the old version? I i thinking about gettin the new version but im worried it wont do the job on the long run. I love the auto start feature ! Btw how long does one battery pack last, i have a lot of 5ah packs that i would use for the vacuum. Greetings from germany

      btw i think the glue stripe you ripped off early in the vid is for closing the bag and tossing away when full. I would rather empty it and reuse because those are really expensive i think :D

      @@thorbenk.657In my experience the GAS 18V-10 works great as long you don’t use it to vacuum any fine dust. That clogs the filter. But still I need to clean the filter, usually outside with pressured air or a leaf blower - usually quite messy! 😄
      That one gives you 2 minutes per Ah of battery, while this one gives 2.5 minutes. It really eats batteries, but I still love it!

      @@thorbenk.657you’re right btw, the glue on the bag is indeed to close it before throwing away. Should be fine to re-use I guess tough, as you say.

    Just hook the bluetooth receiver around the end of the hose rather than the tool, then you dont have to keep changing from tool to tool, it should still pick up the vibration of the tool when you start it...... Works fine with the metabo version i have, looks like the exact same setup. Give it a shot, will save you some time snd frustration

    You know the cfm ? How much more powerful is it that the old one ? And does it have high an low ?

    • @dhmo
      @dhmo  6 місяців тому

      Im afraid CFM doesn’t even ring a bell. As for the high and low, there’s only one speed.

    You didn’t mention anything, where are the pipes and the floor brush?

    • @dhmo
      @dhmo  6 місяців тому +1

      There are no pipes or floor brush. You’ll have to buy that separately.

    How powerful does it seem compared to the old one? According to the specs not much.

    • @dhmo
      @dhmo  5 місяців тому

      It’s a completely different game. The vacuum spec on the 18V-10 is 110 mbar, this does 170. Unlike the 18V-10 you can actually use this for dust extraction.

      @@dhmo but liters per second is actually higher for the 10 version. I found the 10 somewhat useful for general cleaning. What do you thing of the 12 for general household cleaning?

    How long does a full battery last on non stop suction?

    • @dhmo
      @dhmo  6 місяців тому +1

      A full 8Ah battery will give you about 20 minutes non stop suction.

      I found an Amazon review where a guy says he bought 12Ah batteries specifically for this vacuum, so I’m going to say yes - although I haven’t tried.

      Sure! 7318 NOK, which amounts to around 675 US Dollars right now.

    I'm not long after buying large bosch corded vac so sadly i cant justify buying this😢

    • @dhmo
      @dhmo  Місяць тому +1

      There’s advantages with the corded ones as well. Like never running out of power in the middle of a long (and quite a dust-generating) cut 🙂
