It's funny you named a couple horror movies, because this actually was inspired by Us! Especially in the music video you'll notice a lot of references to it with the idea of dopplegangers and carnival scenery.

The elaborate arm/hand shape IS elaborate! It's made to look like the hanja character for 悲 pronounced 'bi' (be), meaning sadness.
Well, well, well. Hi there! Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done.
About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. They noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". So the choreo being creepy and cute at the same time and their expressions makes total sense.

Dreamcatcher is one of my favorite girl groups. I love their musical style and their choreography. In addition to dancing, they always sing live. Personally, from the BEcause performances, the outfits that I liked the most were the red ones ♡ they looked like dolls haha

I love that you picked up immediately on the creepy bc this song and the video were inspired by horror films, if you watch the music video you'll see a ton of horror references and creepy vibes
DC's choreo always tell a story. :> You may not always get like epic dance spinoffs, but it's always creative and cohesive with their concept and theme.

Dreamcatcher is wicked good. Both vocally and with their choreography. One of my favorites is Fly High, I love the choreography. It was their….3rd comeback I think or technically 2nd comeback (and one debut).

YES I loved ur reaction to their live performance!!!!!!!!! dc is a rly underrated performance group tbh bc most people pay more attention to their creepy vibes and rock-esque music rather than their dance, but their dances always go so well with their songs and they pull off their concept SO well!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can search "tower cam" to find this type of fancam. sadly only "studio k" does them right now, and not every performance even on that show will offer them. but it's a cool perspective
