  • Capt. Adam Morrison, commanding officer, USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) discusses the cutter's first patrol while off Florida in late December 2020. The crew of USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) with an embarked aviation detachment from Air Station Houston conduct training and helicopter operations in late December 2020 in the Gulf of Mexico. The USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) crew conduct small boat operations south of Florida. Culinary specialists from the USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) prep and serve meals aboard the cutter on its first patrol while off Florida in late December 2020. The brand new Legend-class national security cutter, one of the U.S. Coast Guard’s flagships, will provide a presence and support national security objectives throughout the Atlantic. This patrol is the cutter’s initial shakedown cruise following its delivery in November.The Stone is conducting a shakedown cruise to familiarize the crew with its operation and procedures as well as combatting illegal, unregulated, and unreported fishing.

    Homeland Security sure takes better care of CG than Transportation did. And, those are some first class 3M masks.

    Thank god I didn't have to put up with the crap wearing masks while serving. Absolutely freaking ridiculous wearing them outside at sea. I wonder if they made them sleep with them on on berthing areas or eating chow with a crowed mess deck.
