Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As a Scottish history tour guide people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation if your from the US. So I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

I can't understand what Scottish people say sometimes, no. Offence.
But I saw a Geordie from Newcastle and a Scottish gentleman talking to eachother on a train,
The Scottish man seemed to understand the Geordie guy and vice versa
So what's the connection between Scottish and Geordie,
      Good video full of information

I agree he is an amazing presenter, such a genial smile and twinkle in the eye - shame about the massive chip on his shoulder just because he is 1/16384th black.(see below). I find that the churlish, resentful, petty-minded grudge these people hold and which drives them to needle the issue without any good ideas of their own I find a bit pathetic, I used to get irritated - nowadays I merely feel sorry for them and can merely watch an interesting tale of history for the facts - rather than for their narrator's guileless use and smug manipulation of them. No one is being fooled by this bloke's beaming charm and hammed up cheap provincial ghost-tour lugubrious delivery and that's fine. Let him beg shamelessly for Likes and Subscribes - you never know some hapless viewers may even be sucked in! I myself don't ascribe to thinly veiled, mewling propaganda - which only just hides the snarl....
16384 is 2 to the power of 14 which latter number I use assuming he is the same number of generations away from his slave Ancestor as the 14th viscount is from the 1st

One of my earliest memories is sitting at a table in the road celebrating the Queen’s silver jubilee, not that I understood why we were partying in the street. Spoke with my dad the night before the coronation about how he remembered taking part in a street party for Elizebeth II coronation, as a 6 year old. We both got rather melancholy, remembering family no longer with us. Their history is our history.

The irony was never lost on me that my 23rd great grandfather was crowned on the Stone, and my 21st great grandfather commissioned the chair in which it rests during coronation. Truth is; England didn’t take Scotland, it was the other way round

    Silly aside…..
I was born and bought up in Enfield, North London where the Plantagenants andTudors had many Palaces………
For a while I lived in Tottenham near Bruce Grove station, house and park where Robert the Bruces London home/castle used to stand.
Apparently, the current house was built on the site……..
When i lived there I had no idea…….
A nearby road is called Lordship Lane…….
How slowly turns the world……….. and how quickly we forget our history……..
    Great episode as ever
    Thank you

Excellent viewing alternative to the events in London. Some day a Bruce Fummey descendant may give a Westminster Abbey tour with a similar historical only perspective.
