Ive been using your belts on all my customer or private cars for years. Even if the car passed the limit on belt by 50K kilometres, the belt didnt snap. Not recommending prolongation, just saying you guys make some quality stuff. Keep It up !
I would just add at 8:56 CHECK camshaft lock can be inserted + crankshaft lock tool can be inserted + check tensioner is at center or MAX 5mm to the right (as Elsa states timing belt streches slightly over time so 5mm over tensioned is OK at this point). 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We can’t state if an SKF product is better than another SKF is a premium brand supplier with over 100 years experience in bearing technology SKF were the first to market in 1991 with the timing belt kit concept providing or even exceeding all OE quality components needed for a safe and professional repair. SKF were the first to launch the SKF Timing belt kit with waterpumps. The components are protected by anti-contact packaging, so the metal part doesn’t affect the rubber and plastic parts

SKF make the best bearrings that money can buy, they are fitted to anything from a locomotive to a car so thats good enough for me! Gates are still perfectly adequate though. But the bearrings they use in their kits (Gates) Im pretty sure are Japanease bearrings. Ive got an SKF kit on my car.
Is there a variation on this kit or an "upgrade", I've given my registration to the supplier and they have sent me a kit that has the hydraulic piston on the belt tensioner which would be fine if it supersedes the one shown above and fits, but the kit doesn't include the hydraulic piston. Can you provide the part number of this kit please, thanks.
Golf engine is transverse so goes from side to side rather than front to back. This means you don't need to remove the front of the car at all. The only awkward bit on the golf is removing the engine mount that is in the way of the cambelt as there isn't much room between the engine and the chassis leg. Instead of taking the front off of the car you simply need to take the front wheel off to get to the crank pulley. You need to move the Coolant bottle, power steering bottle and top boost pipe out of the way and you'll have enough room.
@@mjj4 im actually on this vid to find out how to replace the A/C compressor bracket on the 1.9L MK4. It holds the fuel pump, alternator, and some other stuff so that all has to be removed. Do you know if i still need to remove the passenger wheel and wheel well for all this?
Can anyone tell me the right tool size for the 12 point bolt on the crankshaft? Is it 19mm? Need to get the right size, since all my sockets are 6 point... :( Great video by the way! I will order this kit for my VW T5 1.9TDI
@@yt240robert Depends who you believe or read on the web I suppose, just looked at the Haynes manual for a VW Polo with a 1.9 PD TDi and that says 20nm+ 90° and new bolts must be used, manual printed in 2010.

Better than dayco which snap a year early and after only 10k km
Tomas Haubelt - are the water pumps reliable in these kits, I've heard mixed things? Cheers
The belts included in our SKF timing belt kits are produced by the OE belt suppliers and so, matches the original specifications.
This is an exceptional and professionally produced video. Well Done!
One of the best tutorials !
My mechanic wants $600 labor to do all this to my '03 TDI, after watching this...I will be glad to pay it.

I was gonna attempt this without the timing tools but I think I’ll save myself the bother and buy some lol, good video I’ll be using this to help 👍🏻
Can't say enough thank yous! This video helped me prepare for and carry out the timing belt change on my A4 TDi 100, saving me £££s!
And the music is cool too! 🙂

Great video.
I'm just interesting, is the blue impeller on the water pump made of plastic or metal?
plastic
Of plastic... Continental timing belt sets has an metal option
Plastic, and breaks very easy. I have broken a brand new one.
Where to finde the tool for adjustment dial or does it come in your kits ?

Does your kit come with the crankshaft pulley and camshaft sprocket bolts? They are single use torque to yield bolts.

who manufactures belts for skf set?
hello,do you consider, skf timing kit better than gates's one?
Continental is the best
tnks
Is this AVF engine?
Awx and avf engines are totally the same.... I mean when you need to change the timing belt
Not as easy as I was hoping it too be. With the risk involved might be best left to a proper mechanic
Обслуживаю сейчас AMF TDI 1.4
That fan clutch looks like it also needs replacement
Have you know that???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Visually you can not know that...... 😅😂
