That's basically how I feel about the Winch Claw. Watch me use it to annoy people in THE FINALS.

Of the Heavy specializations, is the Winch the most useful? I've used it to grab the terminal away from a site in Terminal Attack, and to pick up dead teammate statues from difficult positions, and from a functionality perspective, that blows my mind.
You can also grapple any other item you can pick up it's super useful. I do think the goo gun has near limitless potential tho

Winch claw and flamethrower with pyro/explosive mines and c4 is a destruction paradise 😂😂
Combo all this fun yoinking with the fact that you can move terminals and cashout makes the winch top tier for all modes!
the best part of winch claw is that you call just pull anyone from behind anything, its like an insta lock animation really dumb
I would froth at the mouth for a melee only mode, bonking is just so much more fun. As a sword main on light I can't really do much against other lights who's guns are faster than the speed of light so I can't even get near them if they see me coming. The satisfaction of sneaking up and getting a team wipe inside of an enclosed space is actually the best though, unfortunately it doesn't happen very often though.
Winch claw pulling the cash out off of the moving platforms to secure the W is the ultimate troll move 😂😂😂

a tip for sledge is using quick melee more to kill faster:
vs light: 1x normal swing + quickmelee
vs medium: 2x normal swing + quickmelee
vs heavy: 1x overhead swing + 1x normal swing + quickmelee
quickmelee deploys/hits VERY fast (cancels attack animations) so you can hit it right after the sledge connects

The winch's a good way to close the gap between you and your target, especially for the melees, but it's not an ability that I like using (even as a sledge main). I mainly use it to pull in lights to be able to smack em, but being on the receiving end absolutely sucks. That's why I only pick it on maps that are very open like Kyoto or sometimes Horizon, it's stun is extremely annoying. The wierd thing is, I find that the winch works better with the shotguns because you can instantly fire after grabbing someone instead of having to wind up a swing, the best guaranteed hit you can get with the sledge is light swing (115 dmg), while the shottys can just blast you with headshots after denying the sledger's first hit.
Just the fact that it cancels any attack while being grabbed is annoying. My tag's Errodingus btw, some might regognise me

I think the Winclaw needs a nerf. Everytime i see it in a match i get the urge to drop the game and go play something else. It is such a pain to play against because 99 times out of a 100 you get grabbed you will die. I can count 2 times where I actually managed to escape the dang thing since it dropped, first time i had turned a corner leaving a bad fight and made the split second decision to throw a goo grenade to cover my back, right as its leaving my hand a heavy pops around the corner and grabs me pulling me into that new wall which saves me but its a close escape as the time it took for the grab to wear off gave him just enough time to close the gap and i had to use another goo to slow him down. The second time was a different match idk what happened as he pulled me then i just went flying right past him.
If the only ways to escape certain death require borderline precognition or praying for RNGesus to lend you wings then somethings wrong. Maybe it should have slower pull time with no stun so you have a chance to use any gadget to escape, maybe it should have a wind up before use spinning the chain and making noise. IDK what would be best but something needs to happen.
Honestly, that's fair. I've only ever been able to escape from the Winch as a Dash Light, and even then it's pretty touch and go.
But, it's still a super fun specialization to use!
So if you are playing medium and get grabbed run through the heavy its can you away fairly easily. Also demat is pretty good at getting you away
@@nobleshmoble It doesn't matter how fun something is to use if its not fun to play against. If it gets bad enough then those who face it will leave, winch alone may not be enough to outright kill the game but it does effect the games health.
In overwatch this is the best thing in the world, on the finals this bad??? Gamers comunnity is very dumb.
