This is by far, THE BEST REVIEW I have seen of this coffee maker! I have had this machine for a while now and this video explains so well every step it’s amazing! Thank you!!!
Like others said, this is the best review/instructional video I've seen for this machine! Just got the machine last night and attempted espresso this morning, then came to UA-cam to make sure I was doing everything right... ready to give it another try after watching this!
I've used mine since January, and appreciate that the espresso side brews quite well for this newbie. in these last 6 months I've learned Coffee really is all about the bean. With a fresh, lite roast from a local roaster espresso is absolutely drinkable black. Drinking espresso black is significantly more enjoyable as you can taste the flavor of the coffee, not just the milk and syrup.
I bought this coffee maker used at a garage sale. No box or instructions. This video was able to teach me how to use the coffee machine better than the instructions I found online! I highly recommend this!!
Your first pull was much better. You tamped hard enough to allow some pressure to build up (10 seconds from button press to espresso coming out) meaning it also took longer to extract which allowed you to pull out all the flavors. The second pull may have been what the instructions wanted for the flimsy plastic tamper, but the first pull is what you want for espresso. Looked really good for the machine honestly, I was impressed. I'm shopping around for kitchen appliances for the small apartment I just moved into, and honestly a used version of this and a grinder that can do espresso size may just be the perfect fit
Awesome video, thanks so much! I was gifted this coffee/espresso machine from a friend (it had only been used about 2 times) and was feeling completely clueless as to using it for the first time. I really appreciated your calm and patient way of explaining every little thing, it made the experience easy and fun. I look forward to enjoying my DeLonghi for years to come, thanks again!! A+++ how-to video!!
i lucked out and bought a used one for $60. owner used it a few times and had to move so was getting rid of it. i absolutely love it. i appreciate the review and i learned a lot from it.
Thank you so much for this! I just received this machine for my birthday yesterday and I've been playing with it today. This is such a thorough demonstration, exactly what I was looking for and then some. Really appreciate it!
I bought a different combo machine that was pretty disappointing and I was eyeing this one, and this video sold me on it! Thank you for your amazingly in depth video on the machine and how it works! Thanks dad :)
TY I needed this instruction I figured out what I was doing wrong when making the Cappuccino. Was going to return it. I put my manual somewhere couldn’t find it to read the instructions. It does make a very flavorful pot of coffee and we like our coffee strong and have cut down on the amount of coffee we use and it’s nice and hot!
I just purchased this last night, can't wait to receive it. The only turn off for me is that it doesn't make any beeping sound to let you know it's done, but oh well! The water pouring mechanism is a big plus for me, no pulling out coffee maker to pour water in anymore, and it is a 2in1! Your reviews are awesome! Now I need to give that Kalhua coffee a try, have been a Bustelo drinker for sooooooo long!
Hi there, I just bought this machine and your review really helped me setting up and using this machine. I appreciate you explaining all the fine points on using the espresso side as well. Now to work on perfecting my espresso making! Thank you kindly. 👍
Best review! 👏🏻 Got this as a gift, and just set it up to brew some espresso - medium roast Kona. Tastes really good as black but too light for a cappuccino. Like you said I’m gonna get dark roast for my cappuccino fix. Thank you for a great review!
Hi, I am so glad you said no4 for the cone filter, bought a used one for $80. They were missing the cone reusable filter, scoop/tamper, and owner’s manual!
Hi, thankyou so much for this review. Ive had the machine for 4 years and only figured out how to completely use it NOW! I have a question regarding the drip coffee. What grind of coffee do you need for the drip coffee? Is it supposed to be finer or coarser than what you use for the espresso? Thanks!
I have a 2012 DeLongi All in One machine. After ten years the only thing going bad is the filtered coffee mesh screen tore a little. It's a good basic entry level machine. You can learn how to steam milk, correctly disperse and tamp a puck. On my ten year old machine trying different beans, grind settings, tamp pressure, dispersement I could never achieve a nice crema nor experience any hint of fructose in any of my Expresso shots. For ten years I have no complaints. I am ready for a upgrade is the only reason I am getting rid of my DeLongi. I am sure it would still work for another ten years.
I'm glad you reviewed a De'Longhi! Can you look into possibly reviewing the ICM17270 3 in 1? I fell in love with the unique design and picked it up, it is now my daily coffee maker.
Glad I watched this video as I was gonna purchase this machine and place it on my counter under a cabinet but now I see that won't work due to the rear water tank. Bummer. No espresso for me. 😢
This video is awesome!! Great learning ! I’ve had it for at least 4 years and learned so much! Could you show us how to descale in this Delonghi? I got some of the recommended product but it has some dangerous acid cleaning liquid and the paper book did not give full info while the descale cleaner didn’t explain all either! The first point is how do we open the lid? Frustrating😵💫
Super cool, super versatile coffee/espresso maker, looks quality made. Very informative and great review on all of its features. I always appreciate the extras you include in your videos on brewing speed, temperature and taste test. Superbly Fun and Superbly Done.
I have the COM530M machine. It's nice but I don't like that you have to add just the amount of water for how ever many cups you want. I got this after my Viking coffee maker died. I was wondering if you recommend a machine where it holds around 12 cups of water, but just brew however many cups you ask. SO if it holds 12 cups and you ask for 4 cups, you just need to add water after the 3rd cycle, instead of each time. I can't seem to find one like that.
I really like your reviews, I saw this video and thinking of buying this Delonghi machine. I have a question, since this machine can make both espresso and regular drip coffee, can we make just 01 cup of drip coffee in it or do we need to make minimum 4 cups in it. Also can we make single cup drip coffee in a regular cup or do we need to use the carafe. I have a Keurig K-cafe essential it makes decent coffee. But have one complaint, the coffee either drip or of I make a latte are just not hot enough. So I am looking for a machine that can make both espresso and single cup drip coffee. Please let me know if you have any suggestions
Which machine makes the best all in one with travel mug brewer. I’ve had Cuisinart and Hamilton beach and they’ve been serviceable but want a real cup of coffee?
I want to be able to make espresso as well as 6-8oz single coffee cups I really liked your review on the Ninja DualBrew Pro, but the only thing that machine is missing that De’longhi has (and I want) is a proper espresso setting. Do you feel the ninja can do a good “espresso” with its rich setting or is De’longhi better for what I need? Thank you for the great content!
This is awesome!! Thank you for this video. I scored one at a liquidation store but the problem with that is it rarely comes with instructions lol it was awesome missing the espresso handle and the scooper for the coffee, so thankfully Amazon came through for the handle and tamper. However do you have any idea how much your scooper holds is it like two teaspoons a tablespoon that way I can try and replicate that here. But again thank you so much for this video I had no idea I was the one in control of the stop and go because I prefilled the tanks and I just assumed that once you hit espresso it would just pour just want to espresso
Hows your De'Longhi working after a year of use? Mine broke after less than 1 year of use. The plate stopped getting hot and it wouldn't brew coffee. De'Longhi sent me a replacement and in less than one year the same thing happened but the refused to replace it because the original purchase was over one year ago. I looked at the comments on their site and the majority of the one star reviews were because of the same issue I had. Not worth $250.
The frother has stopped working for me, it'll steam a bit then stop, it's been cleaned and we're using the right milk and have the right settings....any ideas?
Thanks for the info Hum wonder why there would be NO filter for the expresso side knowing there will eventually be water scale damage in expresso makers...
Great review! Your are a very talented dad. My only question was a about the filter on the back of the drip coffee maker, what is that filter for? Do you need that filter? I heard that filter changes the flavor of the coffee is that true? Can I purchase those filters if the one that comes with the machine get lost? Thanks so much.
I've had mine for about a year, closer to 2 years... my espresso side used to work fine and create the crema nicely, but for a few months now, it doesn't create it and is just black. Am i putting too much coffee in it and maybe i should get coffee that's ground specifically for espressos? But why did it work properly before and now acting up? Lol. If anyone knows the answer, i would really appreciate it.
I am using this for the first time and there is no water coming out of the espresso side. Green light is on, just trying to preheat and no water. Any ideas?

Agree, for beginners just use a little less sugar/ sweetener every time
You can’t independently turn on the hot plate without brewing coffee. Which stinks.

Wonderful!

I hope this company paid him well because he killed it in this video. So helpful and fun to watch and I can't wait to play with my new coffee machine!

My wife and I received one of these as a wedding gift, finally tried the expresso option and couldn’t get it right, this video helped a lot.
Awesome!! good job figuring it out and I am glad this helped!
Thanks at a hotel that has one and the directions here are horrible! I got it now thanks to you!

This review is very helpful. Thanks a lot.
Mine heats up great&frothy the milk great 👍 thanku for the info
No problem 👍
Thank you! I spent 30 minutes trying to figure this out 😂
Any recommendations on cleaning the machine? Had the machine for a few months and now coffee is extremely bitter.
Thank you SO much for this video. The detail you go in was extremely helpful. All the best to you!!
You are so welcome!
Great review. Only question I still have is whether or not you can pull the carafe during the brew and the drip will pause?
Best reviews ever😊. Thank you.
The company should hire you excellent video
Thank you very much
I'm glad you reviewed a De'Longhi! Can you look into possibly reviewing the ICM17270 3 in 1? I fell in love with the unique design and picked it up, it is now my daily coffee maker.
Very helpful video..I bought one on Facebook & it came without a filter basket, do you know the size this uses ?
Qq sir, did you removed the water and then add the milk?, when you use the milk thing?
Thank you, Dad. Now I know how to use my machine. Excellent video!

I followed your instructions for the steam wand, do you have any troubleshooting tips for when that doesn't work?
Thanks for the review!
Glad it helped!
Thank you 🙏 I couldn’t remember how to use the frother
You’re welcome 😊
Don’t bob the stream wand. You don’t ever want big bubbles! Also cut off the espresso the exact moment that light goes out
Great review!
If I want to make just one cup of coffee, do I just put one spoon of coffee and fill less than the minimum amount of water, which is 4?
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You are so welcome!
The residual water on top of the espresso is because you are tamping down too much - water can’t get through properly- changes flavor too

Great Review ! Thanks. What is the coffee machine mostly made of ? I mean level of plastic in the body ?
Yes, it is about 80 percent plastic
So helpful, thank you for patiently explaining!

Saw this on Amazon and then found your video.. buying this because of this review you did. Well done and thank you!!

Love this video. Thanks!
