"There's a full grown horse that needs to come out this back door" LOL not quite!
“Back door “ ???? Clearly doesn’t know his anatomy
My mare is almost 9 mths. Thanks. I'm keeping this to refer to. Can you please do more pregnant mare videos? Can you just do more videos?? Lol, I love them!
Thanks for the infor my mare is due April 15 2016 She has the honey on her sack for awhile now I do agree you cannot tell by the mare's milk sack.
very helpful thank you! We are rescuing two ponies and we dont know how far along they both are. This will really help.
Great video and great tips. My little mare is expecting her baby one of these days and I just came back to check on her (it's almost midnight here). She had two foals before but last time I sent her to a friend of mine whose family breed for generation already. This year I want to keep her at home and 'do it myself'. Very nerve wrecking, lol. But how exciting too. Can't wait to see the new foal and all I hope the birth will go smoothly, and the mare and her foal will be ok. After that I can relax again. The foal will be a full brother or sister of her two year old daughter.
Saartje05 my mare is about to have her baby soon to I am a nerves reck
VERY VERY COOL!!! THANK YOU!!!
thanks a lot waiting for my mare to have her foal due still no foal yet!!
Im afraid I'll have an emergency and I will have to add my mare in delivery. If you could recommend a book or manual, on the subject of birthing, what would it be? We don't have a vet that makes barn calls.
how soon after the foal flips around to exit the back door (: does the foaling begin?
You don't always have to measure, but good managers do measure. I always checked when I got on foal watch, as soon as I got there. I would check to see if they had dropped in belly and that their rump was relaxed, check their vulva, and udder. If they had an elongated vulva and waxed up on my watch, but didnt foal, I guessed they would go the next night... and often I was right.
