Zeolite in early game - might be worth building a recycler. From what I've heard you can recycle the explosives that various dead drones are carrying for two explosive powder and a circuit board. The circuit board then recycles to iron, silicon, aluminium, nitrogen, a bioplastic nugget and a zeolite.
I was putting pretty much everything in the recycler. I filled up storage containers with fertilize mutagens and other things from larvae and things like that.
@@justcallmebard I just tried this and it works! Only tried it with a level 3 crusher, will have to try it with a level one to see if it works. That is so much easier than doing them one at a time.
You are at the red/black pirate ship a bit early (don't worry about it, I did the same), but there appear some climbing vines once you hit the plant stage, and even later than that, once the ice is completely melted, you can actually walk up there from the area where you built your base, no climbing or jetpack needed.
@Z1 Gaming the Zeolite Area is where the crashed Rocket is, you need to send up heat and pressure rockets so that the area transforms and opens up a cave.
Some idiot who shall remain nameless built a load of flower spreaders, but forgot to put flowers in them, and couldn’t figure out why his oxygen wasn’t going up
Z1 remember circuit boards are made with zeolite so if you make the T2 deconstructor you can get circuit boards and then recycle them to get zeolite and nitrogen and bioplastic
He doesn't have the gas extractor yet so can't make the T2 deconstructor chip, but, there are circuit boards in many of the abandoned drones in the big ship that could be grabbed and then recycled.
In the next episode I think there are a few things u need to do. 1. Send rockets 2. Explore the 2 rockets/spaceships 3. Build heaters, drills and vegetubes because u have tons of seeds.
Now you got the Recycling machine you might be able to recycle the Explosive bombs to get the circuit boards then recycle the circuit board to get zeolite
Put the Food Growers into the Biodome T1, might as will use all those space inside. I was able to get 22 Food Growers inside, this is only the minimum number because I was designing them to look good and left some space wasted. Can fill it up to the point that you cannot walk in, but with the drones its fine. Can also throw in some Vegetube T2 to fill up any unuse spaces, looks pretty too.
Super cool to see this series. Especially since following you as planet crfter original was being developed. It's nice to see a fresh start with this new map and the previous experiences
The cave where you built your 'final' base seems to be one of the last ice caves that melt. There's a handful of other caves that surround it (mainly hidden until the ice plugs melt, but not all) that get deep water before that one. I think the first is the cave just before or after your base one. Can't remember.
5:05 As someone who's not only played a ton of sci-fi style games, but who is also - somewhat - of a tech freak who's designing their own sci-fi story, I can see only really two possible types of devices here. 1 the actual turret of a mounted weapon, likely either some sort of photon weapon or possibly even a plasma emitter of some description, it may even be like a breaching torch (like you mount it and set it in front of a blast door you're trying to cut through, and you just melt a section it). Or 2, possibly - but not likely - they could be some form of scanning equipment, or harvesting/mining tools, seeing as the message log specifically said "resources" it'd make sense that these are meant for cutting apart ore veins or salvaging wreckages. So, possibly some sort of short-range plasma cutter tool, as from the design of it one could estimate that it may function similarly to a chainsaw in the way it cuts through materials. But, I'm leaning more towards option 1, the overall shape of the device indicates a sort of power windup system (the circular bit) with a projection rail (similarly to a railgun but with only one rail). 14:46 Huh, seems I was right the first time, those things in the red and black ship were most likely turrets, cause the side pieces of these giant drone thingies have nearly the exact same design.
This may sound nerdy of me but, it helps if u keep your items separate, and then name each locker so u can find them faster. I have T2 lockers ( from trade rocket ) and named each one: Aluminum, Cobalt, etc.( for mineral mats ) and then named more lockers in a 3x3 next to the biolab: mutagen, tree seeds, etc ( stuff u can make in the biolab ). Again, sorry if this sounded nerdy of me. OH!, *Spoiler >* water doesn't go up to the abandoned base near the starting point. it goes up a bit but not as high. ) *< Spoiler* ( there's no options to hide as spoiler like in discord, sorry xD ). One more thing, that 2nd huge ship area u were at near the volcanic zone is also rich in Obsidian ( which I found w/ T3 ore extractors ).
I'm setting off to far-away places where there might be a lot of good stuff... and I'll leave my bag of holding behind. Should have taken the rover with you! it's extra storage you can teleport back home after filling it up!
I think it would be interesting if the food growers could also take the food and use it to grow that food but maybe it only grows a couple times and needs to be replaced.
What you NEED to do is make more drills, heaters and rockets. Maybe to be funny, make a big room or two and put them in the volcano, before filling it with heaters. You dont have enough of them until you get like 20 of each. Then, shoot up like 10 of each rocket. And you do need flower spreaders and grass spreaders and maybe a second t1 biodome for more oxygen before you work on the Algae. Water aint deep enough yet to pluck it, after all.
You can place the algae growers on the ice. place them in the deep water parts and you can grab the algae through the ice. then when it melts you'll be good to go!
The red pirate ship is the same group that is part of Riley's escape ending in the original Planet Crater. On Planet Humble, you cannot mine Iridium, Uranium or Aluminum. You have to mine Bauxite and Uraninite instead as those replace these resources, then you have to run them through the crushers.
I went through it when I first checked it out, decon chip active the entire time, but I didn't find any secret destructible walls at all. Maybe in the unlocked room, but I've yet to unlock the pulsar quartz, let alone automate it.
I'm not sure if anyone has thought of this, but if you max out your backpack (storage) and then you max out your rover but you can't take it to some places. All you need to do is build another rover platform in that location and use the recall option to call your rover. That way you have all the space you need to bring everything back with you in 1 or 2 goes. Then when you get back to your base just recall it back. Only you have to give it some time (meaning you just keep recalling back to back) just give it a minute or so. It's what I have been doing and it works great.
So, those turrets suggest to me that the corporation learned from the previous PC escaping through the Guardian portal/escaping with smugglers and have set up defences to protect their investment. Those fittings on the pirate corsair looked like XCom gauss rifles, BTW.

Man you need to get mapping going to really look at where you are going and want to go. There is a whole underground area that is HUGE. Jump down the lava flows tubes... trust
Again, remember explosives, then circuit boards through recycler to get zeolite for the oxygen upgrade... Also, is there a specific reason for you keeping the flashlight on during daylight in the game ?
The unorganized lockers is so annoying... the amount of locker hopping to find materials is insane and waste of time. Organizing the lockers from the start takes one minute at most.
