Aww, feel you girl. Costumer service is draining us out. Data entry is more detached and I definitely feel more relaxed doing this. Call center pay isn't worth the stress you experience.
Hey girls, I first practiced data entry on my laptop so I downloaded Microsoft Office. Then when I felt confident, I registered myself to a similar freelancing platform. And basically, as a beginner, clients hire you to do as they need so it means that you can do lots of jobs because u don't specialise on anything yet. Once u gain experience, ull tend to want to specialise on something more specific. And if u gain even more specialization, ull become an expert to that and companies can hire you for your skill and become a company member.
Usually, these employers give you a typing test. I type about 35-40 words per minute with good accuracy. But the jobs I applied for wanted typing skills of at least 60 wpm with excellent accuracy. I took typing on high school and even took a community college typing course. I have a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. I now work from home but would like another work from home job in addition. But I don’t think I’ll ever type 60+ words per minute.

Thank you so much. I'm applying for data entry jobs without having much experience. I always wanted to know if there were practice websites related to data entry that we can use and you helped me out. I will definitely continue to use this website to help improve in my data entry skills.
A ton of data entry jobs are just you moving information from one computer system into another one. Usually one of them is a report on a spreadsheet and you enter it to some website or the company intranet. This makes them great for people with at least basic coding skills. You can either finish all your work in like 30 minutes or you can show your boss your script and probably get hired and promoted into something a lot better than data entry pretty quickly.
Try the federal government. There are several agencies that still have a lot of data entry positions. Think about all of the forms and questionnaires that the government sends out to businesses and other government entities. A lot of those forms are scanned into images and then data capture is performed on those images. Try bureau of labor statistics, bureau of the census, etc I do not know if they have work from home options.
Did data entry for my states tax commission. One of the shittiedt jobs ive ever had lol. Now i work from home for a telecommunications company, and have been for alnost 2 years. It still sucks dick, but im home with my kid
How can I enter data faster with less mistakes. I always go back and double check but it hurts my productivity. My work is correct though. This is truly my question as well. Don't understand why it's not fully automated by now. I'm sure anyone with coding experience can write a code that completely makes their job obsolete if it's all online information (like, not handwritten data or something).
@@martinlutherkingjr.5582 Actually most of data entry has been automated, even the person who made this video said as much under the comments. I have some experience with python and know that *some* jobs can be automated, it just depends on the type of task. I literally mentioned in my response that hand written data entry is one of the reasons why, as is data correction jobs. Data entry isn't just typing things in an excel sheet, people have to fix data as well. So yeah the job is still valuable, but has largely been replaced more and more by AI. A quick google search will prove this for you.
