Wonderhussy is such an enigma that it blows my mind! She has no education in the major fields that she explores-masonry construction techniques, carpentry, engineering, mining, blasting, machinery, geology, automobile history, biology, plant sciences, etc, etc etc! Yet that does not slow her down at all! And we love her all the more for it. We are excited to help her and add in our two cents worth. She rarely shows her expertise in the fields she is an expert at-art, literature, journalism etc, etc, etc. Her indomitable spirit conquers all. Her mercurial personality leaves us all in the dust-we cannot but hope to be carried along in her wake. We stand in awe and salute you Queen Wonderhussy!

What kind of man could ever think or even do to create a home in that manner! Very cool! I love this! Thank you for taking us here! What a place to come use as a camping area
Yeah, I was wondering about a water supply. Be impossible to live there without a reliable water supply. He did some hard yards building that place. would have required some climbing.
That’s truly an impressive home-construction project that someone managed to pull off. Would be interesting to be able to trace the person responsible for it all. It’s undoubtedly a miner who did it, and it could be identified chronologically by the old cans and other artifacts strewn around.
Vic on his channel showed us this in his "Special: A Day in the Life of Wonderhussy". The hardest working UA-camr I know. Her excellent vlog and a hugely sweet personality really shows through. Dragged Vic and another YT'er along and they barely kept up with her! Good idea keeping these two special places name secret as not too many know where in the desert they are.
The guys are after the Wonder, oblivious to the country, love how you make the most of it, a movie about a movie, such a multidimensional character, we all wonder as you wander, and the places are wonderful as well if you have that sense of wonder, creativity, that keeps taking you further beyond expectations.
His name was Lars Vega and he lived there for about 43 or 44 years. He was a very successful miner back in the day and did find a lot of gold. He used it to buy a very huge parcel of land that now has his name sake… Las Vegas.
Fantastic video! I went to Death Valley once and I thought there was absolutely nothing there that would be interesting. Boy, was I wrong. Thank you for taking us to such interesting places!
Wow, what an amazing place. Absolutely beautifully here. Thank you for sharing. I would love to explore this location. Desert Rat Bill So Cal!! Love your work Wonderhussy!!!!
Random statement. North highlands is only 100 ft above sea level. Love your videos. You can tell that a lot of planning and research goes into each video you create 😊
When Vic said something about building forts in the desert, me and my friends used to make forts in the rocks in the Red Desert in Wyoming like this. I loved this place,
Hi Wonderhussy. You're a great explorer and a great Adventuress. Thank You Wonderhussy for sharing Your Adventure Video. Keep on doing Your thing. You definitely make the World a better place. That was a cool adventure up in them mountains with Vic and friend, SarahJane. That Cave Cabin looked amazing, this guy put in a lot of love in building this creation. Wouldn't mind living their, away from the Rat Race for sure.🎯✌👊👍🙂😎
I really used to like your old videos. Do you remember when you sang about a little old shack by the railroad track? Those were the good days. I;m glad I stopped bye here, I'll give you a thumbs-up.
Sarah, be watching and subscribed for years, usually don't post a response, just hit like. You young lady gotta do a National Geographic special too tell younger folks about the history that surrounds them. ❤

I enjoy your yarn spinning! It makes me think what they dreamed, cried and laughed about, making them human. I wonder what stories they'll tell about you in 100 years?
If you're interested in desert cave life, track down a copy of Colin Fletcher's The Man From The Cave. Fletcher discovered one of these places on a desert trek and began investigating; he was fairly sure he had figured out who the occupant was and what happened to him. And if you're wondering what kind of person hides out in the desert, think army deserter.
When ever I see this much "construction" it represents to me A LOT of physical effort and not a simple Sunday stroll. Resources were probably pretty limited so the payoff (aka gold) was certainly a consideration. Enjoy these jaunts of yours especially for those of us who can't make the trip.
If you're ever on this side of the country, you should explore some of the hiking trails here in the Adirondacks, we've got a couple of ghost towns here too, including the old mining town of Tahawus.
Great videos. This is the first time commenting. I just wanted to say hello and thank you! I’m always watching videos of old mining operations and new stuff from the gold mining community. Be safe and have fun. Take care.
Fascinating, I wonder where the builder got their water from? From the vegetation there’s obviously ground water, was there a spring/well nearby? Excellent video, VIC picked a good day to document you in action, you’re a national treasure. ❤👍😊
There is a place called Pine Spring just to the southeast. It was know by the native Americans and a few early travellers as well. Plenty of water in the desert IF you know where to look.
@@hestheMaster Well, yes, but that’s a big IF. It’s not the sort of thing you could learn by trial and error. Basic lesson: respect those who have learnt how to live in such harsh / extreme environments.

Understandable as too many of these 'undisclosed' locations have now become frequent hiking destinations, including a minority who don't give a darn about any historic or cultural significance of said site. With respect to the site WH visited, the location is not that difficult to determine, just try the JT visitor center.
Used to see an old hermit and his mule come walking out of the middle of nowhere that used to go to a store that was along the highway between Barstow and Vegas
How cool is that place? VERY cool... Almost as cool as the Hussy herself. Awsome Sarah!!! What a cool place ! With all that masonery, they needed water for sure. The mortarwork is amazing, considering that all the "native" rock that was available. There appears there was plenty of sand. The next question would be how they got sacks of cement there? ? ?............
