wonder hussy, wonderhussie, wonder hussie, wonder hussey, wonderhussey
Wonderhussy is such an enigma that it blows my mind! She has no education in the major fields that she explores-masonry construction techniques, carpentry, engineering, mining, blasting, machinery, geology, automobile history, biology, plant sciences, etc, etc etc! Yet that does not slow her down at all! And we love her all the more for it. We are excited to help her and add in our two cents worth. She rarely shows her expertise in the fields she is an expert at-art, literature, journalism etc, etc, etc. Her indomitable spirit conquers all. Her mercurial personality leaves us all in the dust-we cannot but hope to be carried along in her wake. We stand in awe and salute you Queen Wonderhussy!
Education is often overrated. Observation, curiosity and research go a lot further.
I want her to have my baby...
I just wish Sarah would respond to some of these comments.
@@allan9603 Why? It's up to you to decide, yay or nay to comments. Not her.
@@judybassett4631 Nobody is questioning what's up to me, I'm not here deciding what's right or wrong.
I just made a statement, and justifying my statement isn't something I need to do.
Did anyone else think it was good that Sarah went hiking with friends? I always worry about her.
This was a wonderful video experience!
Except that one guy tried so hard to stay off camera i think he might have been on the latest AMW episode.
@@janetk2564I thought the same. Creepy.
@@janetk2564
Maybe he has outstanding warrants ? Mysterioso....hmmm🤔
No
I believe in staying in my own lane
@@anitabackroadsonly9086 So was it also creepy that her sister spent years not wanting to be on camera? Not everyone likes to be filmed. Why do you read 'creepy' into it?
My grandmother was the same. She didn't like to be photographed, period.
"He could see the Sheriff comin from a pretty fur piece". Love that old west vocabulary.
It's amazing to think about the person who once lived there, carving out a life in such a remote and rugged landscape. Thanks for sharing.
Yep sure is. Would love to hear his story.
That was a real adventure. You make exploring the desert look like great fun, but I'll bet it is a lot more work than what you make it appear.
Ok it’s unanimous…. Wonderhussy had a man cave.
The only bad thing about watching a WH video is when it ENDS!!! Could watch her videos all day long!
She has over 600 episodes, so watch all you want!!!
Oh I have. I mean I haven’t seen EVERY video, but I’ve seen probably every one for the last 5 years and in that time Ive watched tons of others.
She Has The Best Ghost Town Videos Here On YT Channel .... She Does A Great Job !
Sarah is one smart lady.
I bet there are a lot more cavetype houses in the desert than one thinks.😂❤ thanks Wonderhussy!!! Be safe!
So cool. A modern day Flintsones house.
Another miserable rainy day in Pittsylvania but we thank you Wonderhussey for brining us some sunshine from the 🏜 desert.😊
Random statement. North highlands is only 100 ft above sea level. Love your videos. You can tell that a lot of planning and research goes into each video you create 😊
the holes in the walls are for candles to light up the place - his name was JimBob and he always had his old Henry repeater rifle when out and about
That’s truly an impressive home-construction project that someone managed to pull off. Would be interesting to be able to trace the person responsible for it all. It’s undoubtedly a miner who did it, and it could be identified chronologically by the old cans and other artifacts strewn around.
Not to worry about stilted speech in front of witnesses. Your chrome Hussy essence shines for this gem of a cool house.
I love your enthusiasm for exploration Sarah!
Vic on his channel showed us this in his "Special: A Day in the Life of Wonderhussy". The hardest working UA-camr I know.
Her excellent vlog and a hugely sweet personality really shows through. Dragged Vic and another YT'er along and they
barely kept up with her! Good idea keeping these two special places name secret as not too many know where in the
desert they are.
That man cave was awesome . 👍👍
Absolutely faceinating! This is better than any TV show nowadays.
When Vic said something about building forts in the desert, me and my friends used to make forts in the rocks in the Red Desert in Wyoming like this. I loved this place,
Your undisclosed locations are the best.
You come up with the best places. Thanks for sharing them with all of us.
Yeah, you can’t help but laugh when wonderhussy gets on a roll.
Speaking of living in a cave in San Barnadino County: ever hear the story of the German guy that used to live UNDER the giant rock, out at Giant Rock?
I have hiked to that location a couple of times.
Cool place Wonderhussy!
Thanks for another fun video. Love ya! ❤❤❤
If it wasn't for you.....places like what you find would be unknown by millions of people. You are important.......and beautiful.
Nice vid, but I really hate when everyone says, undisclosed location, not wanting anyone else to know about these great hikes
Man caves are essential to a happy marriages
Man cave and She shed.
Divorce is essential to a happy marriage.
You are such a beautiful storyteller Ms Wonderhussy.. you always brighten my spirits.. you’re a natural!
I am wiring my outdoor shed bar man cave tomorrow 😊. My wife asked if I was trying get away from her-I said bingo!
If you're interested in desert cave life, track down a copy of Colin Fletcher's The Man From The Cave. Fletcher discovered one of these places on a desert trek and began investigating; he was fairly sure he had figured out who the occupant was and what happened to him. And if you're wondering what kind of person hides out in the desert, think army deserter.
Great book, I read it years before moving here to the desert.
Yep, first thing I thought was where did he get water????
Love her videos. Amazing she always avoids those desert snakes.
Thank you for making Laugh. You are the best
Very cool hideout or just another place to live, survive or work the rock
Thx Sarah.
Fantastic video! I went to Death Valley once and I thought there was absolutely nothing there that would be interesting. Boy, was I wrong. Thank you for taking us to such interesting places!
You found the iron gate. 👍👍👍👍. We tried a year or so ago. And it’s the best weather to be out there. I live in Morongo Valley. Go girl girl.
Wow, what an amazing place. Absolutely beautifully here. Thank you for sharing. I would love to explore this location. Desert Rat Bill So Cal!! Love your work Wonderhussy!!!!
Another great video, WH! That looks like the surface of Mars!
What an epic adventure yet again! You’re the OG of desert destinations! And your friends are spectacular!!!❤
Great videos. This is the first time commenting. I just wanted to say hello and thank you!
I’m always watching videos of old mining operations and new stuff from the gold mining community.
Be safe and have fun.
Take care.
Yeah, I was wondering about a water supply. Be impossible to live there without a reliable water supply. He did some hard yards building that place. would have required some climbing.
17:13, It's amazing that stonework has held up through all these years.
Sarah, be watching and subscribed for years, usually don't post a response, just hit like. You young lady gotta do a National Geographic special too tell younger folks about the history that surrounds them. ❤
The desert hides many wonders..................But. never underestimate it
Did you say Man Cave? I happen to have one😀 Also I hike outdoors in places, many people could not believe. Always good shares Wonderhussy. Tanks!
When ever I see this much "construction" it represents to me A LOT of physical effort and not a simple Sunday stroll. Resources were probably pretty limited so the payoff (aka gold) was certainly a consideration.
Enjoy these jaunts of yours especially for those of us who can't make the trip.
Looks like a great place for tea. Bring extra water.
His name was Lars Vega and he lived there for about 43 or 44 years. He was a very successful miner back in the day and did find a lot of gold. He used it to buy a very huge parcel of land that now has his name sake… Las Vegas.
You are sensational Sara …. Your narration and research is spot on… you make everything so interesting …. This is true, and natural journalism that I would expect to see on the networks….. you do all of this yourself … even edit… and I love your work… intelligently done … thanks WH!!!
Great story. Your imagination brings the desert to life. Gee thanks, Wonderhussy!
I think all that stuff in that cave is beautiful and I think it would cost money
Woo Hoo more desert adventurers -Dino
❤ an excellent Adventure , Wonder !
very cool !
very entertaining today 😊
Cool hike
I recognize that area .I was out there a few years back
Looks like trail well used😮
That is sooooo coooool!!!!
I seen Vic’s video first been waiting to see this fantastic place.
Thanks Wonderhussy!!!! 😊❤ you look like a teeny bopper bouncing around in the desert ❤
Hot and nice smile
That was a great video, Sarah. That was the coolest cabin you have ever explored. When you went around the back, it reminded me of a Hobbit House.
Used to see an old hermit and his mule come walking out of the middle of nowhere that used to go to a store that was along the highway between Barstow and Vegas
I enjoy your yarn spinning! It makes me think what they dreamed, cried and laughed about, making them human. I wonder what stories they'll tell about you in 100 years?
The guys are after the Wonder, oblivious to the country, love how you make the most of it, a movie about a movie, such a multidimensional character, we all wonder as you wander, and the places are wonderful as well if you have that sense of wonder, creativity, that keeps taking you further beyond expectations.
Dangerous part of the desert and you were smart enough to bring some friends. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello ❤ Any rattlesnakes out yet ? Your exploration video shows always bring the gypsy shoes out of the closet. Much respect for you Sarah 👍
That was awesome!!!
Hey Wonderhussy. Boy you sure do have alot of video adventures to watch. With all the abandoned cabins, towns, buildings, restrooms, etc I'm still just viewing the tip of the iceberg! Lol 😅 But I do find them very entertaining and I applaud you for being so daring and doing all these adventures basically by yourself. I'll watch this "man cave" video later! Keep up the adventures and.....all the editing. Btw I searched on Google maps and found your compound in Death Valley just out of curiosity.
What a cool blog, happy to hear they are making a documentary about you !😊
I have been to that little stone foundation… cool!
The guy with the camera don't want to be on camera. 😂😂😂
Yea, what a loser. Shame on them.
21:26 I hear ya callin' me!
"Manny, Manny"
11:28...could of been paregoric...😃😉...19:44...I'd live there !!...love his ingenuity ; mixing nature w/common sense masonry .
Could have been a GIRL just trying to get away from it all.

I adore this home. Woulda built similar myself if I was younger, the peace!
That's a veloerh hammer.

If you're ever on this side of the country, you should explore some of the hiking trails here in the Adirondacks, we've got a couple of ghost towns here too, including the old mining town of Tahawus.
Awsome Sarah!!! What a cool place ! With all that masonery, they needed water for sure. The mortarwork is amazing, considering that all the "native" rock that was available. There appears there was plenty of sand. The next question would be how they got sacks of cement there? ? ?............
Thanks for sharing the adventure what can I say you find the coolest places stay safe wild and free 🎉🎉
Always a great time, thank you WH ❤
That was back in the sixties and up till the middle seventies that I remember seeing him myself
Another wonderful Wonderhussy video. Safe travels.
Nothing can hide from the Hussy, way to go girl. O the story' she can tell " them their wheels are a spinning", ALL the time thank you stay safe
But yes, another wonderful tour presented by our very own WonderHussey!
Hi.. You would have made a wonderful mate for the fella who lived in that cave... You are a Great down to earth lady.. a little ditzy, but so COOL! LOL. 🙂
Very cool! Thanks for sharing…!
This is one of your best videos ever
Super discovery! I wonder if a person could do this in today's time
Awesome video. Thanks for your time making the video watching from Reno NV
AMAZING HOW YOU FIND THESE PLACES❤❤❤❤❤ THANK YOU SO MUCH XOXO❤❤
What great fun. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
A man running away from a bad romance. He loved her but she chose another.
@ 11:20 all I can say is...well done !
truly a stellar destination, and I have to recognize the ever advancing production values. .
I am glad she did the hiking, plus that she went with companions for safety. that I could just visually check it out at my leisure is pleasant, because that beautiful landscape is not benevolent, and packing water is heavy. I'm just a fair weather tourist, but have come across a few old desert mining remains while kicking around in the desert .
I even once found an old rusted out western revolver gun frame ,perhaps a .38 caliber from the size, the wooden handle long gone, and the steel now just a solid piece of rust that used to be a gun, when following a long coil of tightly wound rusted iron across the desert sand, that used to contain a wooden water pipe for mining operations.
He probably didn't sleep alone if on the ground. Scorpions and sidewinders...🤠🤠🤠
Amazing place! Great video 👍
How cool is that place? VERY cool... Almost as cool as the Hussy herself. I heard one of your friends say you never read the comments and I wouldn't hold it against you if you didn't.. that seems like an overwhelming task twice a week... But just in case I will address this next comment to you WH, thank you, you always give me at least a few laughs per episode and brighten my day.
a very cool place, but not a one of a kind. these are common in death valley, one even has a garage!
They probably made their own glass container so probably some special specific design detail
HE WAS ORIGINAL ARCHITECT 😮 POOR GUY WAS BEFORE HIS TIME. GREAT VIDEO. 👍
The Josua Tree area is full of great mining history! ;)
Wonder Hussy as you travel to Arkansas for the eclipse, might I suggest stopping at the Abandon Resort run by Demolition Ranch Matt Carriker.
That is a great place, took my Boy Scouts back there before and they loved it. Did you sign the leather bound logbook in there?
