To make the event more exciting, he spent 22,800 yuan (over $3000 USD) to buy all the fish from a pond in Jin Feng Village, Hunan Province. However, things quickly went wrong when a crowd of villagers swarmed the pond and grabbed all the large fish, causing Li to lose 17,000 yuan. there was an incident in our town in the philippines when a group of chinese suddenly barged into our relative’s wedding venue near the beach and grabbed all the food in the venue with their bare hands, even the roasted pig vanished in an instant. they acted all entitled and demanded that we bring out the remaining foods. The parents of the groom were outraged and called armed security. the cops came in and arrested them all. as it turned out they were tourists who were staying in a hotel 1 kilometers away from our family’s beach house and they saw that there were food in the venue so they decided to go in and eat like a bunch of pigs. Short to say the owner of the travel agency that brought them got sued and he had to pay a heavy amount of compensation. The chinese group were detained for 2 days but was sent free.
If that happened here in the states, especially Texas and florida, there'd be a lot of dead tourists that day, and the Defenders of the wedding would be off scot free. (good rule of thumb, Texas and florida.. everyone's packing something so don't press your luck.)

The Chinese have such a bad reputation as tourists and some places have even banned them due to how they behave. It might be acceptable at home, but to think they can do it in other countries is beyond ignorant. Their govt really needs to do better and tell them it reflects badly on the whole country and they should maybe learn a few cultural do’s/don’t’s before traveling abroad.
These elder villagers were around during Mao's era. They couldn't give 2 shits about what people think of them, no shame or consideration.

I've seen animals that are more civilized. These people do not even have shame. I have meet some very respectful Chinese but I have also meet some people like this. Even when they come overseas they act like this. Just 1 month ago I visited my hometown of San Francisco. The Chinese are going to the food pantries for people in need and selling what they get from these charities on the street right next to the food pantry. One homeless man started kicking there stuff off their blankets because saw what they were doing. How shameful.
I guarantee, none of the villagers would use all that fish they stole. They only care about taking. I hate this idea that it’s “human nature” to steal what’s not yours. Yes maybe for a cave man, but aren’t we sophisticated humans now?
It also speaks to the fact that even generations later, the elderly still don’t trust the government to look after them. The very same gov they fought for. All the good people died in the revolution because all the bad ppl killed them.

When I was homeless I kept trying to get a new pair of shoes at the once a year clothing giveaway for the homeless. In the 5 years I was homeless I never got a pair. Everytime I went it was swamped with elderly Chinese cleaning out everything with no care for the people who actually really need a new pair of shoes. They have a dog eat dog attitude, every man for himself. Sad and pathetic.

I work in the restaurant business, and I see Chinese people taking free mints at the cash register. One woman took the bowl with the candies in it. I snatched it back from her. She yelled at me and then walked out of the restaurant.
