      Because it would have been easier for them to live a lavish/comfortable lifestyle in China, as the cost of everything is much lower, than it is, in the US. A degree abroad, made it easier to get a high paying job, but that is no longer case.

      @@doctortermaine7255 : The thing which they did not tell you is that, they borrowed a lot of money to begin with, to study abroad, and THEN, they go back to a LOWER paid job... AND then... also... their parents still has the debts, as well as their child's income, is not enough to pay their debts off... as well as to feed themselves.. and also to feed themselves AS well ? THAT is what you don't see the circular argument.... And they are saying that, China, NEEDs to join BRIC etc... So those debts.. how is that going to work out then ? China BORROWED a lot of money, EVEN to get themselves up to a good standard of living... as well.. as the fact that, it was their parents' export before... which other countries bought... only to... So they themselves want companies to list in other countries, but previous generation is already done and reached there. SO..... They can only recirculate round amongst themselves... and not necessarily export... Cos nobody can be buying continuously...for the 1.4 billion to raise themselves? So... Qing dynasty.... tried to keep the people from inside the mainland side.... away from the shipping's export coastal regions... And those coastal regions sold items that came from the mainland anyway, so it kept THEM from poverty.... and then the coastal regions just got a cut, to pay the people, and then also a customs charges for the other countries AS well... So....
      Anyway.. here in the UK, it is very common, to find a multi-aged team... and your boss could be 20 something and he is in charge of a 50 year old etc. So..... I bet this is going to cause issues.. in the mainland... So....

      Yeah but in many places, like in Germany for example,they don`t accept everybody unless they are worthy academically.Way before they graduate from "high school" they make an attempt at directing the less than acceptable into trades schools, not college.In the USA, the colleges and the banks have concocted a way to sell education to everybody as a way to make money for themselves. "Follow your dreams" is the mantra told to immature kids whether they are college material or not .
      Not giving them the cold hard facts that certain subjects are hard for the cognitively challenged and some opportunities that they "dream about" have hundreds of people looking for the one job.Women`s Studies or Art Appreciation and other cockamamie subjects will not lead to a good job with plenty of opportunities to pay off your student loan.Many college degrees taught are only good for getting a teacher`s position or a job at Starbuck`s.

    • @garypowell1540
      @garypowell1540 Годину тому

      Not true this is extremely common in Asia but even more so in China. American kids have far more ways of making money then Chinese kids ever have. If the education is free then it is far more restricted often the only the top 4%. What the people need is not more education/indoctrination what they need is a stable economy that delivers general prosperity. Neither governments nor universities deliver this on free people in as free a county as possible sustainably achieve this. The CCP screwed up big time and if the USA is doing likewise it is doing so to the extent that it copied China. To support a graduate takes between 20-30 non graduates managers or foremen working under them, while these need at least 10 or in some cases 100 ordinary workers to support each one of them. It is a sharp pyramid structure that has not radically changed for hundreds or even thousands of years. AS WE SAY IN THE UK, FAR TOO MANY CHIEFS AND NOT ENOUGH INDIANS. Or in Chinas case not even close to enough for the Indians to do any more, while IA and other technologies are fast reducing the need for higher educated people as well. This situation is only going to get worse and then worse at lot more. My advice to many of them is to go back the land and learn to grow food again while you still can. Also find some kind of fire arm with which to protect your precious crops, because pretty soon millions will be flooding out of Chinese cities in a desperate attempt to prevent themselves from starving.

    I am in UK and they used to tell us only go to University if you really like the subject of the degree, its not job training. But that message never got to China, sadly.
    For me the last thing I wanted was a government job - how boring! OMG, .... so 3 years of fun (& NOT working) at a University seemed right for me.
    I have not used the knowledge I gained from University since. I don't think I have shown my certificate to anybody even. But some very very very very clever people do use their degrees for work. Not many though imo.
