I just finished reading Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas. I loved it- couldn't put it down. You did mention there wasn't any cheating in this book, but there was. The boyfriend cheats on the main character which causes them to break up. Please don't think I'm calling you out, but I want people to know about this book and how great it was excluding the cheating. I agree with you, it's a must read. I'll be reading more of her books.
Gah, sorry, I had meant with the main couple. I know people don't like the main couple cheating in books to be together, which was what I was trying to point out!
I just read Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas last week too and it is amazing 💕 Also I recommend The Unrequited by Saffron A Kent. It's a professor student romance but I love how it's so much more than a forbidden romance book. The characters are relatable and Saffron's writing style is amazing.
Already read birthday girl and it was OMG. LOVED IT. SO GOOD. Pike, loved him. And she was a great character as well. Their chemistry were there since the first scene. Finish it in 2 days.
I read all the books written by this author . Her books are worth my time and love. You should try 'Silent water" and "the air we breath" if i am not mistaken.
I'm loving this series of videos. I own Scoring Wilder and Losing It, but I haven't read either of them. I have yet to read Birthday Girl. I want to read more books by Penelope Douglas before I get to this one.
I agree with other commenters, Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is AMAZING. But it's a really hard read, too. Not everyone is going to like that one. Maldeamores by Mara White is another fave forbidden romance, as well as Priest by Sierra Simone.
I read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma in 2013 and this book you’ll either love it or hate it. I loved it. It’s a heartbreaking story that involves a forbidden relationship.
The Cityscape Series by Jessica Hawkins and Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas are my favorites. I also recommend something in the way by Jessica Hawkins.
I read Birthday Girl three days after it came out because Penelope Douglas is one of my favourite authors ever and actually the author my first ever book was written by, Bully. Another forbidden romance is Dark Notes by Pam Godwin. It is a student-teacher kind of book.
Come Back To Me is so good! I'm not sure if it's part of a trilogy but I also loved Stay With Me and Run Away With Me by Mila Gray. I'm so excited to read Birthday Girl.
Hello! I'm hoping that you could do a video where you suggest books that are forbidden, hate to love, or slow burn romances where the heroine is very average and insecure about her body image, yet is confident, sarcastically funny and witty. I would like our heroine to be insecure regarding the shape of her body and specifically the imperfections that real women face with their bodies. I'm a little bit tired of reading romance books where the heroine is so beautiful and is annoyingly insecure. It's not realistic and relatable. I want to be somehow emotionally contacted to the heroine and feel a sense of hope when she does finally find someone who doesn't judge her to the societal expectations of beauty. Because in real life, there are relationships where beautiful women marry and fall in love with average joes and vice versa. Thanks! Sarah
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is one of my favourites of all time. I reread it a week ago nd thats what made me look for more forbidden romances...its so good.
I read a normal romance, I get tired of happy endings.
I read a forbidden romance, I desperately want a happy ending.
Mee too
every time😂
Birthday Girl was AMAZING!
Wasn't it!?!? Ugh, Penelope can do no wrong!
Torn by Carian Cole! It is a father's best friend romance where there is a 16 year age gap. But it is done SO beautifully.
Can it be read as a stand-alone book?

@@PeaceLoveBooksxo Wouldnt it contain emotional cheating since the main character has romantic feelings for her boyfriend's father?

I don't know if I would like Forbidden! But I am definitely wary of reading Priest, but I've heard really good things about it!
My favorite forbidden romances are Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma, Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard, and Slammed by Colleen Hoover
Gabriel is LIFE.

Forbidden DESTROYED me. It's the kind of book I enjoyed but I wouldn't recommend or even pick up, think about ever again!
I read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma in 2013 and this book you’ll either love it or hate it. I loved it. It’s a heartbreaking story that involves a forbidden relationship.
Forbidden is AMAZING!
The premise scares me so much...I don't know if I'll like it!
Absolutely broke me. I think a new goal of mine is to write one that's more light hearted...
I loved it but it has incest which is just...wrong. I can do other forbidden but incest is no no.
The Cityscape Series by Jessica Hawkins and Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas are my favorites. I also recommend something in the way by Jessica Hawkins.
