Port Augusta in South Australia to Threeways in Northern Territory

We take you on a road trip through the centre of Australia from Port Augusta in South Australia to the Threeways in the Northern Territory. Along the way we visit the former Woomera Rocket Range, the opal mining and underground living town of Coober Pedy, we take a side trip to Uluru (Ayres Rock) and visit the central Australian town of Alice Springs.
Along the way we show you a range of attractions & accommodation and show the roadhouses that are the life blood of central Australia.

What a trip! I'm really surprised how pretty the Outback is. I was imagining it being browner, less colorful. When I can go to Australia, I definitely want to go to Uluru and Alice Springs.

It certainly was a trip of a lifetime and fell in love with the majesty of the outback vistas. When we visited the outback had some rain so that may explain why it was a little greener. Hi Ros, this video bought back some amazing memories for me as I worked and lived in Woomera in the late 70's and then in Coober Pedy in the mid 80's. I was fortunate to do this whilst working for Bank of NSW / Westpac
