    This man is rebuilding a wrecked shell from the ground up on jackstands using cut offs and structural parts from other shells…. And I’m here procrastinating on small rust patches on my e46 lmao. I needed this motivation

    • @fuckngreat8955
      @fuckngreat8955 2 роки тому +6

      You got this!
      From a E46 owner to another, get the rust taken care of,
      Once they start rusting, they wont stop until you make them stop, they love to rust,
      So make sure to do it as soon as possible

    • @kingcatlxix4573
      @kingcatlxix4573 2 роки тому +1

      @@fuckngreat8955 do not worry! I’ve replaced my rear arches completely and just removed both outer sills both sides ready for the fresh sills and door steps to be welded on. It was only small surface rust areas but I’m doing it all in one go with completely fresh metal panels all zinced and primed inside and out. Other than that it’s rust free.
      It was sapphire black but I’m now prepping it to all be sanded back and resprayed Imola Red 😍

    I don’t think you’re mentioning progress as being progress it’s more digress. I would not reinforce with the factory design because it is designed like a Popcaan to fold in on impact that’s why you’re still alive.
    But you have to be the most unique UA-cam channel I ever followed and I’m a car guy I follow all of them. Amazing job!👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

    Random thought mid video.... To help offset the cost of repairs... Offer chunks of the damaged parts you are removing for sale or turn pieces of metal into keychains and post them for sale. Put proceeds toward fixing the car.

    I liked your hole-saw method for removing the old bushes... dunno if it's easier than the burn-em-out method (which is what I used), but it looks less messy and less smelly at least. Be careful of the anti-seize... that stuff is insidious! If I even look at the bottle, I somehow end up with it all over my pants, shirt, the bolt I was originally aiming for, the floor, the car itself, on my face, in my hair, etc...
