It's so, so helpful watching someone else tweak things, my brain is having an easier time processing how much what does what and also gets used to sounds less. Long-winded but yeah, appreciate it so much! I'm also guessing that the P in PEQ is Parametric!
@@epson_ecotank_et-2850 heck yeah! I started making beats on an mpc 2000XL and it's crazy how this thing stacks up to the legacy MPCs. Easier slicing, more fun to jam on with chromatic mode, lots of effects. Such a powerhouse!
Thanks for another great video Jay. Is it possible for you to make a video on the effects on the XT? I find it all a little confusion. Perhaps the compressor and mixtape function as well
@@simonlaverbeats Thanks! That's a great idea, I'll add it to my list of video ideas! I've never used the mixtape function so we can learn together lol
@@333_Tarotthere are no gaps or jumps in sound when the pattern transitions! I recorded a few different pattern changes to test and the waveforms all connect directly once the first pattern ends and the next pattern begins, even when going from patterns on different pages
@@333_Tarot correct, no internal synth engine. Although you can sort of use it as a sample based synth by loading single cycle waveforms and modulating things like filter parameters. You get 2 LFOs per sample. But it's definitely not as deep as something with dedicated synthesis controls
@@333_Tarot all of the sequencing data lives in the step buttons (the round numbered ones). So you have to sequence melodies by activating pad mode, which turns the pads into piano keys. then you record the notes to steps by pressing record, then play. The step buttons that have notes recorded on them will light up red

It’s great that you walk people through how to do things, no matter how simple.

@@NickMcKeon thanks, that's awesome to hear! Yeah PEQ is definitely parametric EQ, gonna need to start googling this stuff before runnin my mouth haha
this thing is awesome, its like my mpc 1000 but with easier sample slicing

PEQ=Parametric Equalizer
@@oa9002 thanks! That was gonna be my next guess lol
Great video! What usb cable connection does lofi 12 have ? 🙏
@@waxfiend7359 thanks! It has a usb B port (micro usb)
Is there any gap/jump in sound when transitioning from pattern to pattern or is the sound perfectly fluent? Thx

@@Jay_Maculate i see. What i dont understand atm is how you create a melody without a piano roll, as it doesn't have one? 😮
