- At 2:08 cans do come in an 17 block just not the way its on the diagram. What I do is 16 block cans with only 5 down left side not 6. I hope that makes sense

We do produce and dairy mostly so there are crazy boxes like some the size of a pc box, some the size of a shoe box. Others like a toaster box.
It’s a bit of a challenge when you have to pick 1 case of multiple items that aren’t level or same size boxes.
But we play Tetris and make it work
50 pound bags of yellow onion, 50 pound cars of cabbage, 5 pound chopped romaine, potatoes, bananas, tomatoes,
We fulfill prisons, schools, restaurants and dairy + specialty fruit shops.
Bend your knees outside of this phenomenal builds
Love these with you selecting and talking us through them
I appreciate it!
Really love following your videos! Been an order filler for walmart dc for a few months. The info and content you provide has been super helpful with the way i stack and pay attention. Thank you!! Keep up the great videos. 👍
Thank you for the kind words
Your videos helped a lot I been watching every detail you teach about im currently at HEB distribution and now I can finally pull 107s and higher
💯
From a desk job to pallets. That was mighty difficult. I moved to the UK and decided to try on being a picker. I didn't know what it was so I decided to stick with it. It's my 2nd week now. First time I designed a perfect leaning tower of pizza 👌. I'm now following the channel so I can improve. Also if you have any tips for someone who not so tall as well 60kg weight so I can learn and work better. I have no targets yet set for me.
I have a quick video coming out today going over shorter selectors
1. I've never seen so many boxes the same size on one pallet
2. Do you not have three pallets? The warehouse I work in, as a selector you have a triple pallet jack, with your primary (R), secondary (S), and tertiary (T) pallets
3. I don't think I have ever seen a 17 tie. The beginning of the warehouse where I work, things come in an 8 tie or 10 tie, or 3x3 columns that have no tie. At the end, some big boxes come in a 4 or 5 tie. Anything small enough to come in a 17 tie, I would consider a small filler case.
Double pallet jack
Definitely different at every warehouse
I appreciate your videos I share them with all my coworkers
I appreciate the support! Thanks for watching
Great as always brother
Thanks buddy
Good video tim, cases 10 and 11 on the back not only make for a weak corner but you lose on surface area. do any guys go straight up and down with soups? Perfectly built as always. I built a few orders building the far pallet first risky business because of the rocking.
Such great content
You're too nice
True 15,16,17 block on back works best
Tomorrow is my 1st day doing this. Ive worked in a grocery store unloading the truck but not this..kinda nervous just so fast paced

I’m still a trainee I work for c&s in Hawaii. I’m having trouble with where to put my chemicals and having trouble with the can goods. Also what block do Gatorades come
@@ikaikacampbell2935 are you allowed to take pictures of your work? Are you in Discord? We have someone over there from Hawaii
we do a 17 11 tie at our warehouse with our cans already pulling 100 4 weeks in ya vids help alot
Nice! Glad I can help!
Amy suggestions to when the warehouse is unorganized? I'll have 2 chunky soups on 1 aisle, then 2 aisles later there will be more
I try to group cases together in corners, even if it gets high. Warehouses seem to be unorganized
❤
Labeling in the the freezer has been trouble as a beginner because hands are frozen any tips on holding and performing with the labels
I would definitely ask this question on Discord under freezer chat room. I do not work freezer but we have hundreds that do on Discord
Man I’m so excited to order fill today. I go in at 4:30 pm EST
Good luck 👍
@@TheWarehouseSeries 3rd day on dry, pulled a 141.
I’ve been a year and half out of order filling. I went on the lift for receiving.
This is probably my 30th video, I think you deserve a sub😂 Thank you again, sir.
I appreciate it and glad they're helping
Can you apply the 17 block method when your picking in dairy?
You can but it would be a different block and number. Best way is to just look at the pallet in the pick location. One that has a dull layer so you can see the block. My only thing is for example the minute maid comes in I believe a 15 block. I 14 block it because the 15 block hangs off pallet
If you're still unsure message me on Discord and we can talk more
Yes the Minute Maid come in a 15 block, You know what your talking about I’m a 10 year vet in dairy. I have a system and was thinking about switching it up. But I’m taking notes when u pick dry goods.
@@devinserles9182 Do you get the smaller lactaids in the same aisle as let's say the minute maids?
@@devinserles9182 I actually 13 block with middle being open for smaller case number 14
What the time limit are you given to finish a pallet, are you having to wrap it as well?
Time wise all depends on order. Average, between 20 - 60 minutes. I will stop and wrap on about 5% of my orders. Most selectors wrap on 100% of their orders.
It waste so much time
Ok awesome thanks for the quick answer, last questions did you change the 17 block format that you had once you reached waist high and would you say that ALL the PALLETS from the start of building should have the 17 block format as foundation?
Thanks Again
@@hudsontd7778 I corrected myself in one of my videos. The cans come in a 17 block, I personally put them in a 16 so they don't hang off pallet
I only chang the block if I look at the pallet I'm picking from and bottom layer is over the edge of pallet
How much does your work start you at?
I believe it's $17.50
Thanks
Wonder how many stops on this order
This is one store
What gloves do you wear
I bought them on Amazon. Work gloves with grip. They are one of the first to appear
I WORK AT SYSCO I AM A SELECTOR AND THE PERCENTAGE IS 130% AND 145% HERE THEY GIVE YOU A LIMITED TIME AND SOMETIMES THE PALETTES ARE NOT PERFECT YOUR VIDEOS ARE GOOD BUT WHEN YOU WORK WITH TIME ON TOP IT IS NOT THE SAME 😕
I understand, definitely something I have learned off others on Discord
I just do my 17 block different
Dude yall got it set up perfect...our stuff is all diff sizes and shapes the whole order..you gotta really learn how to stack
Not anymore, they reslotted to get us to throw more per hour. Not easy anymore
@@TheWarehouseSeries your work for ahold delhaize?
I applied for job to be a order selector. They turned me down so screw them. I became a forklift operator with less work and more money.
Congratulations, definitely easier
@@TheWarehouseSeriesthanks
Hey thanks for making these videos man, Im finishing my bachelors and am planning on doing 6 months of selector work to be debt free. Ive unloaded these pallets at Wal-Mart before and definatly not looking forward to building them at PFG.
You seen the end result at the store so that should give you a little advantage
