    Jay's a solid dude. I reached out to him via email to ask how he trains to address asymmetry in his quads. (He had that issue and was able to balance them. I had the same issue and was looking for advice.) Not only did he reply, but he replied with a good amount of information and also a god amount of encouragement. Good guy in my book.

    • @sonofsaturn43

      I know..there are those two infamous shots of him onstage (one of them he his flexing his left quad I think, forgot the other pose) They became famous like how Dorian's two black and white photos became legendary when they were seen by the public. Jay looked l like he completely maxed out in terms of how much size he could force onto his frame. It is surreal to the eye, because you just cannot process how huge, ripped and conditioned he was that year.

      Absolutely! It seems that it's rarely talked about and I don't know why. Cutler's 2009 beats out the last several years competition in my opinion.

Very impessed with your knowledge of the sport/competitors as well as your awareness of the evolution of the game. Throughout the golden era, the transition to mass monsters and today's reemergence of classic physique and insta bodybuilders, you're definitely a student of the game and an excellent role model for today's athletes.

      David Alexandru loll look at Jay’s imbalanced biceps. Even top tier bodybuilders suffer it, dont worry and keep training

      Matching the amount of volume you do with your strong side to your weak side will help to even out imbalances. (some advice from Wesley Vissers, Vintage Genetics)
      That and do more unilateral exercises and more volume isolation on the weak side.

      Train every muscle individually, for an example if you do leg presses do a set on the right leg and the same set on the left leg. Then you are sure both legs have done the same amount of work

    • @miguelroman4294
      @miguelroman4294 6 років тому +2

      what muscle? for chest do dumbbell press instead of barbell, for biceps start with the weaker arm first that will give the most oxygen to that arm, also match the reps of the weaker bicep with the stronger bicep don't do more with stronger bicep and lastly do one extra set with weaker bicep. you can do the same with Triceps! for back do dumbbell rows using one arm at a time starting with weaker side match but don't exceed with stronger side, do one extra heavier set with weaker side. legs do Bulgarian single leg squats if using a leg press machine start with weaker leg and match the reps with stronger leg. do one extra set with weaker leg! I hope this helps you out, it did for me! 💪😠💪

    Mr. Cutler is an amazing Human. No rush to end conversation on his tours. First met him while stationed at Andrews AFB, MD in 2010. Then Lackland AFB, TX, (2014) Randolph AFB, TX (2015) and Ft Sam Houston, TX (2017). Took my sister to meet him at Lackland and they talked about fanny packs. Then at Randolph she brought her pack and he said “You Remembered” and he SnapChat her discussing fanny packs.

    do a video on lee Haney he two has 8 MR O wins, people always forget about lee Haney, in my opinion I think lee was a far better bodybuilder and looked better, Ronnie Colman always had a fat stomic, so why does Ronnie Colman go down in history as the greatest bodybuilder off all time? when lee Haney looked better/

    One thing I'll never get about modern bodybuilding is why they allow such wide waists. It completely misses the point of what makes a body look good (proportions).

    • @jaugust3056
      @jaugust3056 6 років тому +1

      bob james - Because not everyone is genetically gifted with A small waist and it's bodybuilding, it's whoever builds the muscle properly and displays it properly with conditioning and symmetry... The genetically blessed typically win though.

    • @bobjames1521
      @bobjames1521 6 років тому +2

      The Reaction bodybuilding is all about genetics. My question is why they prioritise mass genetics over proportion genetics.

    I like Jay Cutler. But Nick was saying if Ronnie wasn't there, then Jay could have or should have won blah blah blah. Well, but Ronnie was there. That's the beauty of competition. One could also turn around and say that Ronnie was Jay's motivation and his target to beat, so Jay worked harder to finally achieve his dream of Mr. Olympia. So things happened for a reason. So while I like Jay and he is a great champion, I think that Ronnie Coleman was there to pave the way for Jay to work harder to finally realize his dream.
