I had never heard of Truphae either. Fortunately I saw this pen reviewed a few weeks ago on another UA-cam channel and I ordered it right away. Goldspot also carries BENU and has an exclusive Talisman called "Ice and Snow" right now that is infused with snow quartz. One other comment - the weight of a pen is not related to its quality. Some of the best pens are made of acrylic. Best wishes and enjoy your new pen! ✒️🙂
Enjoy your Benu, it’s so sparkly I love it. Yes, I totally get that the weight doesn’t relate to the quality. I guess it’s just a preference although compared to Sailor the plastic feels different. The price point is also different haha.
OMG when my two worlds collide! I’m a crystal collector and love that it was inspired by rutilated Quartz! You know, I was so drawn to the Sailor every rose has its thorn pen when I first saw it, and it’s because it reminds me of the crystal Blue Chalcedony… that glowy, juicy blue. Anyways I love this pen and I want to try a Benu so bad!! I saw the limited macchiato (?) one they did with Goulet pens and so sad I didn’t learn about it until it was sold out lol
You gotta get this pen then! I collect crystals too :) Yeah, I didn’t even know about the macchiato one until it was sold out but I do prefer this Venus’s hair one.
@@toxmot I'd like to get another nib in another size for it, so that I can swap them out depending on which ink I want to use. I saw that Benu sells the nib units separately.
Yes, it was a happy chance that I had gotten the fine. I was not familiar with their pens or the nib they use. The wetness and thickness is astonishing. I think you would like the fine. If I ever buy another benu, I would be curious to try the EF.
Hello 👋🏼 May I ask how you feel about this pen now that you’ve had it for a few months? Do you like the Talisman model? And do you still regret not getting a medium nib?
I actually have no reason not to love it. The nib is juicy and I'm so glad I didn't get the medium. It's a smooth writer and reliable. I haven't tried any other benu pens so I cannot compare. This pen is perfect for the holidays, it's very festive and I will gravitate towards it during the autumn/winter months.
@@toxmot That’s great to hear. I’ve been seeing this Venus’s Hair around in a few FP channels so I caved in and bought one (my first Benu). But I guess they’re out of stock so I need to wait for a few weeks/months to receive it. I’m more of a fine nib kind of person, but lately I’ve been wanting to try medium nibs so I can see more ink properties. And I love the smoothness of medium nibs. And I hope I like this pen as much as I am hoping I will.
@@xxflipchick22xx I hope you will love it! Did you get the medium or fine? I write on TRP so the fine is definitely wide enough. This pen is my wettest one.
@@toxmot I got the medium. Because I looked at my collection and I have too many Fine nib pens already, so I wanted something a little bit different. Does this pen handle shimmer inks well?
What a great ink pairing. Hope you continue to enjoy it.

Ohhh that ink is gorgeous! Love the pen, too. I've been wanting a Benu pen for a while - their designs are so unique and fun!
I never thought I’d own a Benu! It’s such a juicy nib too, and a size bigger than all my other nibs.
Wow!! That is one of the most beautiful pens I've ever seen. Okay I'm definitely picking up that ink, how gorgeous.
That’s what I thought when I saw this ink too :)
Gorgeous Benu! Agree you definitely should have gotten the medium.
The nib surprisingly runs pretty wet. Since I write in small cursive, the fine is actually quite perfect for me. Thanks for watching!
Woooow! Soooo sparkly!! That pen and ink are lovely together! I only have one Benu pen, but they are super fun!
Oh nice! Which Benu pen do you have?
@@toxmot I have a glow in the dark briolet. It glows very strongly and makes me feel like a six year old with a magic wand!
@@jennieeveleighlamond I checked it out, they look so fun!

Thanks for sharing. Lovely pen and beautiful ink 💕
Thank you! :)
What a gorgeous pen! I almost bought it myself. And I have Cocoa Shimmer and I love it! Such a fun ink.
And a fun pen! :)
Very nice combo!! I love my Benu pens! I almost bought this! This maybe a Christmas present to myself?! Lol
Hehe, why not gift yourself!?
I own the same exact pen..I personally love it! After watching your video I will have to buy the ink…it’s a perfect match!
Oh yes, the ink is so perfect for it, runs pretty wet too.
I have always loved Cocoa Shimmer and this pen is such a perfect match 💕
I only just discovered Cocoa Shimmer! It’s so pretty.
You’ll be glad that you got that in a fine. I had to send the medium back. It was way too wide, and it was so wet. I couldn’t write with it.

Both the pen and the ink is gorgeous. And I don't have Coco Shimmer, but now I want it
It’s a beautiful ink, can’t go wrong. Browns are such a classic to write with.

@@xxflipchick22xx it sure does! It's a wet flow.
My pen is totally different from yours. Much lighter browns.
Oh, that's interesting ... I thought I had seen lighter versions.
