I remember with my old metalband we played a band contest once and the contest was sponsored by Blackstar. So every band had to play on the same Blackstar amp. For metal the thing was garbage back then, but this actually shreds. Loving that OD1 channel. Sounds clean and crisp.

Dude, awesome vid and you really got the best out of this amp. Really digging the chewy nature of the distortion that isn't naturally too tight - can do that with an OD if needed. Thanks and will be considering this as next purchase!
Having issues with the wattage switch. Only works when the first gain stage is engaged however if you have the second gain stage engage it does nothing. Cannot find a solution for this

Blackstar Amps are underrated IMO. They do sound great and are an incredible value for the money. Yea i LOVE my EVH amp, but Blackstar amps are really good at cleans AND overdriven tones. Put a screamer in front and ya are golden. Seriously thinking of getting a Head/cab. Won't do the 100watt just cause its WAY too much power for the house lol.

It also depends on which Blackstar amp back in the day. I'm guessing it wasn't a series 1?.

This amp does soo much more than metal. 80’s Marshall to modded Marshall, blue set tones and a decent chimney clean. I love mine.
