in my experience brisk walking/fast walking is way way better than running. simply because you can do it everyday. you dont get too much fatigue and joint pain compared to running. even jogging makes my knee, shin, etc uncomfortable after. so you absolutely need rest day for running. or else face consequences. the key for health is not perfection, but consistency. so rather than being wanna be maraton athletes. i just walking everyday for 10k steps which take 1h20m.

Running increases heart stroke volume and increases capillary density more than walking does so running is better in that regard. For fat loss though I would say walking is better though. You tap into fat loss a lot better with walking.

i live in a small italian town so walking at night is not a problem, at least im lucky in something ahah
