In this video I teach you how to setup Nightbot for your Twitch channel. This is a beginner tutorial for those just getting started with Nightbot. Nightbot is one of the easiest bots to learn straight out of the gate and is very easy to manage. I run through a few popular custom commands that peopel will want to use in your Twitch streams. I will also leave the advanced custom commands that are mentioned in this video above so you can just copy and paste into Nightbot if you wish.

Thanks for this video Leon! I am sorry that I don't quite understand how to set up the !sr command for my channel. I have the nightbot and I have the streamer songlist set up. I just don't understand how the !sr command is going to go to the link in my songlist to request a song. How would a UA-cam channel connect it to the songlist so I play a cover? This is not making sense yet. Very new to this.
Hey! So the !sr command is already installed inside of Streamer Songlist. Just go to Settings > Bot Commands > General > Scoll down until you see !songRequest > Enable this. You can also click on !songRequest to double check !sr is set as an alias :) Hopefully this answers your question!

how do I setup the ability to give someone permission to post things i.e. links for a limited amount of time Ive been getting a lot of spam accounts showing up in my channel and wanna atleast grant perms for a short time to prevent link spaming

This is great. But it's logged in to my bot account which obviously does nothing. How do I get the nightbot to work in my actual stream chat?
Hey Scott!
All you need to do is "Part Channel". Log out of Nightbot and log in with the correct account. After that, click "Join Channel" and connect it to your main Twitch account!

Click on your profile pic (top right) then select log out. If you want to remove Nightbot from your channel you can just hit "Part Channel".

I'm trying to get the command to select random user for commands like hug or slap or kiss
I'm not entirely sure on how to set a "random" person. For the basic command for example would be something like:
Command name: !hug
Response: $(user) gives a warm hug to $(touser)

Make sure you are logged in correctly and that you have typed "/mod Nightbot" in to your Twitch chat!

Is this question for making the !subcount command? Or is it the link to where people can actually subscribe to your channel? You social links will be your specific social links for example.. UA-cam, IG, Spotify etc!

You can find this by heading over to the Streamlabs Website > Sign in with Twitch > Account > Settings > Donation Settings > Your Page > Click the link > Copy the URL
