    It’s SO surprising to me just how few people check the ingredients list on most foods.
    Even more surprising to me is how few people actually look up side effects of prescriptions before taking them….

      A doctor gave me a prescription for my knee that said in the side effects section that it could cause sudden death. Needless to say I didn’t take it.

      Sugar makes everything taste better, even food you would not think. I do carb up days here and there and my most recent was pasta galore and it just was not enjoyable and was starting to judge my previous love of food. Then for my last meal of the day I added in allulose and good amount of butter and OMG the difference. It was suddenly just like I remembered where pasta with meat sauce was pure heaven. NGL here I made a second batch and gobbled it up to point of feeling like exploding aka just how I use to remember it. That book does not lie! I love Prego sauce and stopped buying it when I went low carb. It won best pasta sauce on a pretty famous youtube channel recently and the two guys were saying stuff like "you can taste the Italian high quality ingredients!" LOL then they read the labels and Prego has tons of sugar added. So agreed, sugar and fat makes food hyper palatable and you just consume and consume even past the point of your stomach being filled the esophagus cant contain....and just one more bite. Steak on the other hand.....delicious OMG but then suddenly not and you stop as you start getting meat aversion aka natures way to tell you to stop eating.

    Sodium ferrocyanide decahydrate
    Prussiate of soda is another name for sodium ferrocyanide decahydrate, which is a yellow crystalline solid that is soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol1. It is a cyanide salt used as an anticaking agent in table salts to keep them free flowing2. It is also known as yellow prussiate of soda and has the European food additive number E5352.

    • @DKing-js1of
      @DKing-js1of 19 днів тому

      Don't worry, the amount of sugar he's trying to scare you about is trace amounts. Also, if you fixed your diabetes from stopping the consumption of all carbs and sugar, then I'm sorry to say you did not fix it, because I garentee you if you have big dose of carbs right now your blood sugar will go through the roof...possibly even worse than before the diet. That's not a cure, it's just masking it. A real fix is being able to eat carbs and have a normal spike and fall in a healthy range.

I have used Redmond's Real Salt for about a year, but live with my sister who still uses regular salt!! The box is Morton's Salt and it contains dextrose! Also calcium silicate (anti-caking) and potassium iodide!! Even more thankful now that I use Redmond's!! And I love their Smoked Salts!! Thanks for this info! Never noticed that salt contains sugar!! You are right!! Feed that addiction!! God bless you! ❤️🤗🙏🙏

    I definitely agree that the quality of salt matters and i love Redmonds. But I do think the amount of dextrose in a serving of McDonald's salt is going to be minuscule. It isn't ideal. Avoid it when possible. but I don't believe having it in a pinch is going to hurt anything.

    i used sodium thiosulfate before in lab settings to remove chlorine from testing solutions, its also what we use to remove chlorine in tap water before putting the water in our aquariums so not to hurt/kill the fish. i suspect this chemical is probably the least problematic of the bunch in such low concentrations.

    many of the grocery stores I live near have their own specific grocer name branded salt and every one of the store brands have dextrose added. some also have flowing agents and anti sticking agents added. I usually see silicon dioxide more often than aluminate or thiosulfate. many store brands get a product to sell from the same supplier or manufacture but with a different label. I'm at the point where I trust nothing that comes from today's modern food system and food production. Ive become too health conscious during the last 3 years trying to chase perfection it will likely be my downfall. I don't even trust my ro water filtration system I use for drinking and showering to be adequate or the air I'm breathing doesn't have brake dust particulates because I live on a busy street. a 100% meat salt water way of eating has made me realize whatever my food has eaten before I ate it is completely out of my control. same with many other things in life that have all been lies.

      Most people are iodine deficient. Check out Dr Brownstein’s work on iodine. I have watched several of his interviews and have his book. My doctor prescribed Dr Brownstein’s iodine protocol to help my thyroid issues. Most people get Lugol’s iodine because it has both iodine and iodide. Just a drop or two per day is probably enough - unless you have a thyroid disorder. You might also want to take extra iodine if you swim in chlorine - the bromide blocks iodine absorption.

    You state in the video that the point of eating low carb is to stay in a state of ketosis where you're burning your own fat. You're only half correct. Ketosis burns fat, but people in ketosis also eat a lot of fat, so most of the time you're just burning off the dietary fat you're eating, not your actual body fat. Again, this diet is not special. You'll burn actual body fat at about the same rate eating carbohydrates if you're In a.....wait for it....CALORIE DEFICIT.

      Really that's funny I have lost 95 pounds and I eat a lot my calories are 3x what I ate on carbs. So what you said makes no sense. I eat a lot of fat also. I'm now the same size I was at 17 actually I can fit into my clothes from back then. I kept my hippy clothes 😂😅.

  • @DKing-js1of
    @DKing-js1of 20 днів тому

    Don't you think you're at the point now where you can start to add in some other whole foods? You're thin now, you don't need to live in ketosis 24/7 and be terrified of every gram of carbohydrate that passes your lips. I notice you're beginning to look a little skinny fat, which is not uncommon after a few years on super low carb, high fat, when a person reaches their optimal weight, but doesn't quit the diet. You're in the phase now where you'll lose muscle on this diet. It's not designed to be a permanent lifestyle, despite what you've been led to believe. You'll become more insulin resistant than you ever were before.

      Humans didn't have access to pounds of meat every single day of the year. They also ate fruits in season, and tubers and even grains. Very few lived in ketosis 365 days a year. This is not normal, and we are not lions.
