My dog was stupid and jumped off the bunk bed and now has a limp. She lets us touch her leg and doesn’t seem in too much pain. She’s an 8 year old springer spaniel and she’s usually very grumpy and growls if u get close to her but ever since she started limping she’s very sweet and loving

My dog started shaking and limping after a short sleep at night. He gets up and he was shaking and tries t walk but limping. after a about a minute he got fine. But he didnt wanna go back to sleep after it, so he stayed up all night, he just sits at one corner, with eyes closed but didnt really wanna lay down after that. what could be the cause of this????
Take your dog to the doctor if it's limping cuz my dog I had since I was little started limping and we thot he just broke a bone or something but now his arms all flat and pointing in a weird direction and he has cancer so now we putting him down in a couple days

I have a 6 month old German shepherd be started limping about a week ago I called my vet immediately they said to keep an eye on him don't let him get too active walking on a leash and observe him for the next couple of days next couple of days went by it wasn't so bad he started to horse playing with another dog now it's worse took him in they said he had h o d I was wondering if you had more information on this particular onset and how long it will take to clear they also said that he could have a torn ligament so I'm a little confused because the limp wasn't so bad it gradually got worse if it was a torn ligament I would assume it would be major and he wouldn't be able to walk it all it was a slow process to get for the Olympics at now thank you

Could your dog have allergies? Mine was the same so he has piriton. Try not to worry

My dog is around 10 years old in human years she keeps limping and her leg looks a bit swollen when i call her she just looks at me and wags her tail i just told my mom about this but she said she fine...im sacred that she broke her leg. My puppy is turning 2 months old this january 17. Her back left leg is like taller in than the right egg. I don't know what happened, but her left leg is weak. 😭
I have a 125 lb dog, 2 actually. But my boy started limping pretty good on his front leg, and holding his paw up. I inspected it, seen nothing visible, I knew nothing was broke. So I figured he pulled something playing with my other dog because it was on the first snow. But it continued so I took him and had three x-rays. All they told me was that he had arthritis in his shoulder, there was a little fuzziness down on his foot which could mean maybe a pull or something. Then there was two little small white spots toward the top of his bone. The vet said she did not think that was cancer, it didn't look like the normal cancer. But will re x ray in a month to see if the spots have changed. Anyways he is now on remedol permanently, but that wasn't helping at all, so now he is also on tramadol, which seems not to be helping. So my question is, has anyone had a dog with a front leg injury that can't be detected by x-ray? I hate giving him all these pills that aren't even helping. I hate seeing him that way and keeping him from doing things that he loves.
I am not sure of this but you can try a Fluoroscopy, maybe it shows that something's wrong when he moves his paw... I hope he gets better soon :'(
I have 3 shi tzus... 2 are boys and now walking running and playing wide open eyes and several teeth. they are month old.. but the girl puppy cannot walk. she keeps falling sideways... although she has open eyes and has some teeth... they are all month old.

If my German Shepard who is 11 months started limping for couple of days. Started Friday it’s Sunday niw I’m waiting for Monday. Will wrapping his right back leg help? The one he doesn’t want to weight on.

My dog started to limp. We checked for thorns, but found nothing. She was a boxer so I knew she had a good chance of having cancer. Well, she did. We had an x-ray done that week. She has since passed. It was hard to see her suffer.

Spinal cord disease doesn’t always mean DM. It can be due to a slipped disc or IVDD that’s pressing up against the spinal cord. That’s what my chihuahua’s issue was when she couldn’t use her back legs out of nowhere

I just let him rest and didn’t bring him for walks for a couple of days, and now he’s better. But there can be many causes of limping like bone cancer or tumours. They say it in the video

Always take them to the vet first! It's better to catch the limp early and get a proper diagnosis than to see if it heals or not. If you know the probably causes, then that can help your vet understand what's going on.

My dog was walking outside, and after he was limping. I think it's an object, but I think it's the nail because my dog has very long nails and we haven't been getting a dog nail cutter.
Get your dogs nails trimmed regularly to avoid arthritis of the feet or legs due to irregular foot placement. Akso, nails can curl under and grow back into the skin causing infections and severe pain.
Well this limping is my fault..I feel so bad and I’m scared so basically what happened was that I was asleep and he got on the couch and I was asleep so I put my leg on top of him and I feel so bad..😭😭

Ethandestruct08 06, Yep! He’s back to normal. This happened again a few times after I posted that comment, but it hasn’t happened for 2 days now so I think he might be fine. If it occurs again, we’re most likely taking him to get checked out by a vet.

@@netm203 If the affected area is tender and they are avoiding pressure on it, either there is discomfort on their paw or the pain is elsewhere in the leg (sign of a broken leg). It's good that you got an appointment - the costs of getting a vet to take a look will be far cheaper than an emergency procedure!

I really need help if someone sees this please reply. My dog broke his leg and we go to the vet and the doctor put a cast on it and it stayed there for 2 weeks and then when we remove the cast my dog won't use the broken leg anymore and we xray it and it's healed but he still not using it and it's like almost 3 months now since it healed. Is it paralysed? Will he walk again normally? What should I do to maybe help him. I've been searching for answers since it started and I can't find an answer. The vet just always say it will heal but it's a few months now and the vet is getting expensive because they are asking for money if we get the dog checked up. I really hope someone can answer me. His my bestfriend.
I would ask a different vet than your usual one. It’s possible it’s something he is trying to communicate to you but since he’s a dog you can’t understand. I have a dog too and he had a leg problem so we took him to the vet and soon after he was totally fine. Don’t lose hope

I hope you took it to see a vet it could be Pano if it's a karfw breed pup or any number of serious isssues. Abtthuhf like that is highly recommend you get veterinary care right away.

I hope that's the case for mine. This is my first dog. I came home from work and he was fast asleep! He woke up and heard me tussle a treat bag and then I noticed his walk was weird. I hope he is better tomorrow and maybe just pulled a muscle while playing :(

Check with your local veterinarian to make sure a bone isn't broken. Even something as common as a sprain should be examined.

Lyme disease can make them limp and is misdiagnose with out a blood test.
