It's a good story for Formula 1. Two of the most legendary teams of the sport doing well is good for Formula 1.
I miss McLaren vs Ferrari days
They are still fighting…..just for second 😂
@@ericc2939True but both still have a shot at the championship
@@ericc2939 mclaren now fights for 1st after miami
@ericc2939 if they keep this form, they might just be fighting for the championship this year (at least the constructors)
The 70s? The 90s? The 00s? Which ones?
"as much as it is a total coinflip, id say its a weighted coin" is the sentence of all time
Next year is our yearᵀᴹ
Nah but this time there's way more evidence to make the case for Ferrari and or McLaren, Red Bull is on the down with many personnel leaving for 2025 and 2026, Mercedes seems to be nowhere for at least 2026 or even later, now in comparison, both Ferrari and McLaren are now getting faster and operationally are very similar to Red Bull with no major blunders by any of them for now

Piastri is definitely future world champ material.

@@OliDoxAgain, not if Norris is around
Not necessarily. Lando is 4 years ahead of Oscar in terms of F1 experience, Oscar has a better mentality than Lando, I definitely think Oscar has the potential to be the better driver in 3 years or so
@@OliDox People continue to underrate Norris despite everything he’s proven. Piastri is currently getting dominated and hasn’t made any inroads into the race pace gap since last season. Norris definitely has more potential.

@@Aldas001 Your uptalk is scaring people away
The big question would be which team can properly understand the new regulations. Mercedes shows that no matter how dominant you were in the previous era, things can easily turn upside down. If Newey does go to Ferrari, it's going to swing the chances of winning a title to Ferrari because Fred is basically forming his own superteam at this point. But at least based on 2023 and 2024, Mclaren are really good at picking themselves back up when being knocked down considering how fast they're able to recover from where they were in start of 2023. So maybe it might go something like the likelihood would be with Ferrari for 2026, but it could slowly go back to being a coinflip around 2028.
I feel like Mercedes might not necessarily nail it as much as they did in 2014 where they just flew past everyone engine-wise, but it might be either at least relatively better or on par with everyone else. Red Bull-Ford is getting into some rough times with the drama in that team and Audi is still up in the air, and even then I doubt they can turn Sauber into contenders immediately. Alpine, assuming nothing changes, will just be Alpine.

Aldas, This made me so happy! I liked and subscribed!
The fact that Aston Martin only mention at the start of the video sum up that Aston Martin might not have a chance to win the championship due to when they always upgraded the car they go backwards and they fail to understand their upgrades.
I predict Alonso fans are inserting his stare at 2012 Brazil at the end of the race because it is going to be a pain for the next few years.
I want to believe that RB can be beat, but 2 races is a small sample size. Miami was a fluke, and Imola is... Imola. If the other teams are still on Max's ass in 2 races, I'll get invested again.
McLaren vs. Ferrari, the rivalry that has been going on since 1974 when Fittipaldi beat Regazzoni to the championship by 3 points. Currently I'm slightly leaning towards McLaren, but if Ferrari manages to recruit Newey that would make them the favourites.
Newey to either ferrari or mclaren could just as likely hurt them short term. Both teams will have people with noses seriously put out of joint
Even though they haven't won a championship in the past 16 years, Ferrari have won many races and fought for the championship in 2010,2012, 2017, 2018. Mclaren have won 2 races in the past 12 years. That says it all
McLaren started from scratch in 2015 with a handicap of a PU, then switched again in 19 then again few years later. They were a top team till 2012 then gradually fell back and only now just coming back. How many championships have the fully works Ferrari team have thrown away in all that time..

Max will win the Championship but team is another story.
Certainly if Checo is already starting to struggle. Imola was bad for him, it is starting to look like 2023 all over again as the car is being developed away from his driving style.
He might very well cost Red Bull the team's championship like you say and if it goes that way then he is out of there.
After Monaco it seems like it's a given honestly
Come on, I think the smart money is on Ferrari with Adrian Newey as TD, but I think most people would prefer Mclaren.
Yeah, it's only a matter of time before McLaren has some bad luck and Zac Browns all over the team by firing people.
The sport needs Ferrari to win
@@ethanlamesNo, Ferrari is overrated, and Lewis winning again would be so boring. Bring Newey back to McLaren and let him make them the dominant force.
@@patepulkkinenvtec2403 Hamilton would not be the one winning. Have you watched Ferrari the last 4 years? How they’ve favored Leclerc, he is their golden boy and for good reason. people saying that McLaren can't as they aren't a works team. While i agree but it seems people are forgetting about their new engine deal with mercedes. zak openly mentioned that this deal give McLaren a seat at the table when Merc develops their engine, meaning that they will have much more info and data beforehand than they have had till now. He has also mentioned that they do have a say in certain aspects (not all obviously) while developing the PU. the new deal has just strengthened their relationship although they are competitors on track. Also I remember quite vividly till 2019 where people were quite confident in saying that McLaren will never crack the top3. Guess what? they are probably in the top2 since austria last year.
Are they planning to unite the teams for 2026 and have Norris and Russell as drivers, so would they come back as McLaren-Mercedes?
@@LorenzoCorrado19 no they'll be separate teams like the present. However McLaren will have some influence on the PU. Think of it as they are buyer and seller now but from 2026 they won't just be the buyer but also have some inputs over the PU
@@sleepypixie8828 Ok. But it would have been sooo cool.
@@LorenzoCorrado19 no you don't want toto to control McLaren. They are doing fine with zak and Andrea. And besides they have good relations with toyota. Ferrari seems ever so slightly more stable (which feels like a monumentally weird sentence to say). McLaren has some high peaks, but their lows have also been much lower the last few seasons. Ferrari has consistently been at that top part of the sheet, so I think there's a slightly better chance that Ferrari can maintain themselves well enough to win a title than McLaren
Also Peter Prod knows his shit.. he's right up there with the best of them. An asset to any team.
Let Andrea and Zak cook!
We are checking!!
I'm just happy to see both Ferrari and Mclaren doing well, even if I'm a die hard Ferrarista.
Seeing how McLaren's momentum is going, I could full well see them take the WCC this year with Max taking the WDC still. It happened in 2021, so it might happen again.
Newey to Aston Martin would be more interesting to me. See if they can get up in that top group.
As a diehard Ferrari fan,Mclaren 100%. I think Ferrari will take a long time to truly start competing for championships.
Wishing Charles and Carlos the best for this special weekend! ❤ Would be great to get a double podium here! Hopefully this is the time that Monaco will love Charles back 🤞🏻 ❤🇮🇹 Forza C² ❤❤💪🏽💪🏽 💚🤍❤ Forza Ferrari! 💚🤍❤
if ferrari sort out their strategy, i think ferrari.
Their strategy has been improving a lot more this year
@@leoarevalo6786 even last year their strategies were already good most of the races, they just need some more performance from their car and some operational tuning like getting sub 2.0 second pitstops consistently like Redbull do
what? you have no idea whay you're talking about. they haven't had any bad strategies in over 2 years. stuck in the past. they have the best pitstops after red bull and no strategy blunders. there's nothing to sort out.

@@mexicanopdb They do. Theyv been trading fastest pitstops with RB.
The DHL graph is skewed because Ferrari came in under SC with everyone else in Saudi, and as a result had 5ish second stops because of pitlane traffic
What if Renault builds a monster of an engine for 2026 onwards and conquer everything? It would be absolutely fantastic especially that now everyone is with eyes on everything except Alpine 😂
Uff i think McLaren have their structure in Place, like there’s small changes but they adapt so bloody quickly it’s really impressive. I think Ferrari is also really strong but they are still gathering and moving more pieces. The engine I actually think that it being half electric is beneficial to the Mercedes PU. But really just wish for both of them to do well so we can get a real Title fight.
Yeah, but the ICE side, split turbos are banned. Ferrari is the only team running a convectional turbo. Mercedes have never run one, so thats a big advantage to Ferrari
This whole video can be summed up with the meme, “Lando! We can be world champion, I said! Lando! Lando!”
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Max and Lando....both Belgian moms....coincidence? And yes, I'm Belgian haha
Although i hope for a titlefight this year, i just want to remind people of one thing we sadly need to remember. Redbull not only had a windtunnel penalty for this or last season i dont remember, but already before the last season ended Redbull told us the RB20 design was considered "old" so they might in 5 races or so come with a massive package that will give them several tenths. I want Mclaren and Ferrari to fight so bad, but just the RB20 design being old alone scares me
Had the safety car favoured him and not Norris at Miami, had he not had the grid penalty at Imola, and had the Monaco curse struck Leclerc - Piastri could’ve had 3 wins on the bounce, I hope the actual win comes soon, he’s seriously talented (though Norris is better currently)
I don't think any team will win against RB this current era. But with the new engines 2026 Mercedes might come back with a rocketship once again i could imagine.
Fred is cooking us Ferrari fans a 6 star meal
Webber was a world class driver who should have won world titles, but sometimes another driver just does a better job on the day. Vettel wasnt THAT much better, I expect that Lando will just out perform Oscar in that same fashion.
2015 or 2017 lewis: almost unbeatable.
2024 lewis/charles vs 2024 lando/oscar: I think it will be an incredibly close fight so long as both cars are fairly equal (lewis is definitely not as good as his mid 2010's prime, lando/mclaren is imo the second best driver/team pairing on the grid at the moment, charles is likely as good as hes gonna get while at ferrari and oscar is very much still on the up)
I think Ferrari and Honda have an engine advantage. I’d say Ferrari’s is worth half-a-tenth, RBR a tenth. And the Renault engine is likely a further .15 down.
Mclaren
I am a depressed Ferrari fan, and I have been milking the Sainz high, but man, after seeing Norris turn it up in Emilia, I’m starting to think McLaren is about to unleash hell this season. That being said, I do think Ferrari is making strategic long term moves for the car, and in doing so, I feel if we keep it up, wr may have a chance at the WDC in 2027
i want mcLearen vs ferrari vs red bul vs merc every team at it’s peak
The difference in team structure between Ferrari and McLaren aren't as pronounced as it was at winter break and the beginning of the season. Vasseur already had most of what was needed for a great team, but had to organize the mess created by his predecessor, Binotto, in order to take the most out of it so Ferrari could bringing in new people and extract the most ou of it. Zack Brown had to appeal for a more unorthodox move at the beginning of the current reorganization of the team, because he didn't have the right talent to work to beging with, but as soon as th cogs, nuts and bolts started to get in place, the team started to converge towards a more traditional structure, which is something still being worked on.
These changes on Ferrari's and McLaren's teams management also lead their conceptual design teams to actually have the environment and the means to develop strong e competitive conceptual platforms for their cars. Platforms strong enough that they could actualy be improved upon and put into shape by the more day-to-day operations/production oriented design and engineering teams, and eventually to become real challengers not only for 2nd place on the championship, but also to bring the fight ever closer to Red Bull's turf.
This proves the massive impact that the management style the new teams' principals have onlver the teams general work and direction, specially on providing the right environment for the concepetual design teams so they could fearlessly concentrate on developing conceptual platforms that, once worked out, would allow the cars and drivers to deliver the results and go confident into their capacity to fight for the wins. This requires an ambient where these higher level designers and engineers have the freedom to do their work as they see fit without fear of being shut down by management or having their work lost on the team's internal politics and power struggles.
Personally I think Ferrari will outdo McLaren on the Constructor's Championship because after Monaco, Ferrari 1-3 podium granted the team a huge leap on the both the Driver's and Constructor's Championships. McLaren could still surprise us and take Ferrari's place, but it would have to develop the car even faster, which will cost them a lot of money that might hurt them later if the season if anything unpredictable happens, if this is the path it chooses to purdue. But given what Ferrari pulled off in winter, by developing an entire new car concept in about 4 months, shows that if McLaren loose sight of competition against Red Bull, and start a development war to just outdo Ferrari for 2nd place on the constructor's championship, it is bound to loose it. Specially because Vasseur's greatest contribution to Ferrari was exactly to undo Binotto's defeatist attitude of concentrating Ferrari's efforts on fighting for the second place on the Constructor's Championship, and not to fight to become a real contender for the title itself.
In the end what I really find interesting, is to see some people saying that the Adrian Neewey works as a Glorified Consultant to Red Bull -- or to any other team that would hire him after he leaves -- just because he isn't the one ironing out the operational and production details of the car's aerodynamics and chassis.
He is a concept designer, it isn't his work to iron out the operational or production aspects of his concepts, that's what the rest of the technical team is for. His work is to understand regulations and create the best concept design that should be deveveloped to take the most out of the.
His track record in developing concept platforms of race/championship winning cars speaks volumes about his ability to translate regulations into a conceptual platform for cars, that could, then, be worked upon and be materialized on track by the work of the more production/operational oriented members of the team.
This isn't the role of a Glorified Consultant, on the contrary, it is a pivotal role not only on a racing teams, but on any design driven organization.
And if Neewey's career serves as al example for something, it is to show that the kind of concept design work he does, more often than not, is the difference between teams with multiple championship winning cars under a given set of regulations and the rest of the paddock.
Just look at Mercedes, it was the teams whose concept design work has won many championships over Neewey's concepts for almost the entire duration of the past regulations. But under the current regulations Mercedes' concept design team couldn't and still can't find the right concept platform to develop the car upon, thus all developments and upgrades to the car developed by the more day to day design and engineering teams is stalled, because even though they are meant to improve the car, the lack of a good concept to guide the work and contributions of the more hands-on development teams could not be translated consistently into more performance on the car itself. Without the work of the platforms' concept designers like Neewey, the work of rest of the design, development and engineering teams amounts to semi-ranfom guesswork. Since there are far more possible aeodynamics and engineering solutions that works on paper, but when transferred to a wreak platform gives little to no gains, even though that specific improvement may bring huge gains on a better platform, it won't do much on a bad one.
McLaren and Ferrari are ahead exactly because they finally got the right concept design for their cars, so the other designers and engineers could give their own contribution to the continuous development of their current platforms. And not wasting time chasing a miraculous update packag that would solve all the conceptual flaws, like Mercedes and, to a lesser degree, Aston Martin are doing.
Even so, unlike Mercedes that has a bad concept design, Aston Martin has a fairly good conceptual platform, but don't have yet the expertise on the hands-on side of the aero and chassis design, development and production team to make their concept thrive and leap ahead of Mercedes, and eventualy compete with Ferrari and McLaren against Red Bull.
This is the difference of having a Hell of a Concept Designer, or in the words of this and other channel's copy writers, a Glorified Consultant, and not having someone like that on the team, it is the difference between being on the top position of the podium, or in the very least, realistically and continuously fighting for the top position, and being constantly left behind, stranded on a position of eternally fighting not to loose the few remaining points available for a teams from the mid of the grid and backwards could, at most, to get.
Just a little bit of competition and Max is making mistakes almost every weekend
Dallas Mavricks
😂😂Luka is that guy
Mavs beating the Celtics in the finals would be incredible
Getting excited to watch races again, Max is the best current driver and recenrly have no minded him winning because it hasn't been a guarentee that he will win going into races. Both Ferrari (less so sainz of recent) and both Mclaren drivers are genuine challengers. This makes 2025 with Lewis at ferrari even more hype. F1 might be back ya'll
I think Ferrari is more of a threat than McLaren for 2026. They have gotten stronger, they know how to make a good power unit, and a solid car overall. But we have to wait, hopefully 2026 won't be a 2014 again
I missed McLaren vs Ferrari days too
If Checo stays at RB next year, both will have a chance to win a constructors. Even this season if they keep the gaps like they are Checo will be P6 at best in every race.
Hmmm, I’m not so sure. Against Verstappen ‘just’ a competitive car won’t be enough, I’m afraid. Ferrari and McLaren need a better car than RB to beat that bloke.
I wouldn't join any of those two teams. I'd join Mercedes. They're gonna nail the 2026 engines and be multiple seconds faster than the rest of the engines.
Next year if Maclaren can keep this pace. Id be hard pressed to say them. But it's all out the window come 2026. I have no clue who will be top teams. I'm excited. I'm a RB fan boy but he up on Schummi killing it in Ferrari.
Sadly, Definitely ferrari
These days we don't even consider Mercedes in this conversation, it's so wild to me how much things have shifted in just a few years, if you told me 3 years ago that McLaren and Ferrari will be much more likely to win a championship than Mercedes, I would have thought 'yeah, maybe 20 years from now '
...I'd bet on McLaren only because Ferrari had their chance and blew it. Opportunity doesn't knock twice and McLaren clearly deserves it.
What a thumbnail 😮
Thats all Neweys concept!
My bet's with McLaren. They just seem like they are on a better trajectory than everyone else in F1 right now.
I'd love to see McLaren win a championship. However, Ferrari, I think, stands the best chance of taking down RB. I don't think Newey will sign with anyone else right now. He's openly stated he wants to step away from F1.
A more critical analysis would inquire why the sudden drop off by RedBull, it can't be that their development cueve has maxed out given that they took a new direction which gave them.more development scope.... Could it be that since they brought upgrades the car has lost its initial balance and is much aggressive on the tires. So my theory is that while teams continue to close the gap, RedBull has made a flaw somewhere...this is not new, as last season we saw Adton do the same thing till Brazil when they decided to revert and it worked out.
Newey is no longer helping set up. And it could just be like Vegas/Singapore last year, where the gap just comes down.
Ferrari already had the best tyre wear.
RB struggled in Imola because they dindnt get any long runs done in practice, so the setup was mostly guess work
Mclaren are like the only Team without Driver Drama.
I think that stability will pay off, especially with the ever improving car each year :)
I just can't see Lewis & Charles getting along if they both in the points race :/
How long do you think the peace will last until Piastri decides he wants to start winning?
My heart says Ferrari, my mind says McLaren
I think Mercedes has an edge because they produce powerful road legal cars as well.
But its crazy to watch which team can produce that kinda engine and other regulations lets see who can get the top spot in 2026
To me, Ferrari have more potential to be a title winning outfit, but McLaren are doing a better job at delivering with what they have. My heart says Ferrari, my mind’s undecided

I do think McLaren and Ferrari will be the teams to beat in 2026, I did think Mercedes would have been the team to beat but this season has proven they have had their time and I no longer believe they are team they were a few years ago.
Ferrari is tied with Red Bull as my favorites in F1. So I hope Ferrari wins. But I’ll celebrate loudly if McLaren and Lando Norris wins a championship.
