From the beginning Shane was one of my favorite characters. People thought I was crazy for it but he was so complex and dragged my emotions all over the place. I really loved Season 2 and can thank the incredible Jon Bernthal for a lot of it.
Jon added so much depth to him where it was heartbreaking to see him try to kill Rick Comic Shane barely gets any development and his change is pretty sudden so I appreciate the show allowing him to stick around for 2 seasons to make his fall all the more tragic and natural
I wish shane was alive till season 6,7. Interacion between shane nd negan would have been ecstatic. You know despite all the negative character I still used to love shane. I mean just imagine where we would have been If shane was still alive. shane, rick, daryl this trio could have taken down any one. Rick didn't just loose his friend, but a truthful & loyal advisor in all his endeavour. rick's character would've different arc if shane was still alive.
Sophia actually lives throughout the whole comic series so I’m betting there were very few who actually guessed she was in the barn. I mean of course I think we all believed at a point she was dead but definitely didn’t guess that outcome lol. Season 2 is such a killer season I loved it so much.
Man, I forgot a lot of this episode. So good. When I originally watched this episode, I did not know Sophia was in the barn. I figured she was dead but I didn't want her to be and then when she came out of the barn, that was such a shock and so heartbreaking. Remembering why I loved this show so much in the beginning.
Even if you read the Comics you woulda got shook, Sophia doesn't die in the comics, this was one of the things that they changed, but made one hell of an episode for the series lol.
I’m always so torn on this twist because while I LOVE it and how shocking it is and how it is truly the first major death of the show. Sofia was such an amazing character in the comics and I would of loved to see her in the show
I miss dale. I love that he saw right through shane and his bs story about Otis. I've never read the comics so I was really surprised that she was in the barn I wasn't expecting it and I thought she was still alive
Episode 12 Better Angels followed by the season finale were my favorite episodes from Season 2. That scene where Rick has to kill Shane is still one of my favorite scenes from the show ever. Then the end with the walker horde coming to the farm, an incredible one-two combo
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy watching reactors do a rewatch but this video was awesome. if anyone should do rewatches its you guys. i don't know if you guys have the time but maybe instead of 5 episodes you should do 1 from each season, from the first 9 or 10 seasons
The connection Diamond Dave drew from this episode 15:40 to the Diana season where Rick said something similar is the quality content and commentary I come to this channel for and it's also why I stayed.
Actually did think Sophia was in the barn, once we learned Hershel was holding walkers there. Only because she hadn’t been found and Daryl could track a gnat on a camel 🤷🏾♀️.
This episode blew my mind when I first watched it. I had some serious suspicions that Sophia was in the barn only because I was expecting and anticipating some kind of big payoff from there being a walker barn on the farm. But I also didn't fully believe that she was (because part of me had forgotten the little walker girl episode one and I naively believed that the show would not do anything gruesome to children XD ).
Just dawned on me how Hershel thinks quite like Lizzie here! Wow Carol was so different by the time Lizzie had to look at the flowers 💐 💀 You are right Shane is thinking like season 5 while the others are season 2 & some haven’t even experienced enough to be at season 1 level (Hershel & annoying Dale) Love what you are doing, really enjoying these videos
So if you two just wanted to make your own channel dedicated to reacting to every episode that would be great thanks 🥰🤷🏽♀️🤣 im loving these - these episodes compared to where we are now!!
This was 100% a helluva episode. 6 episodes to build it up, then one episode to topple it all. It kills me that a lot of people bash season 2, imho S2 is one of my favorites to watch and you can see the characters all spinning off into their emotional directions.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE WALKING DEAD FROM EPISODE 1 AND I CALL BULLSHIT ON ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY KNEW SOPHIA WAS INNTHE BARN! Everyone wanted Sophia to be alive. Everyone was bawling when she walked out EVERYONE! I think if you binge watched the season then it is different you might have suspected. But the fans that watched week to week LIVE there was no way. Love these call backs thanks for doing this.
Now looking back at it, Shane dropping massive facts lol. Loved the last ep of 2, apart from the action & group dynamics, they find out about the “all carry it” news.
I remember watching this episode on blu-ray and my very little niece came in last minute and watched the ending scene with us. She asked something like "He killed her?!" and I had to think quick and I said "She was a monster." Phew, lol 😅😅 Can't believe TWD has been going 12 years!
So for me this is my favorite episode. I've talked about it before. This is the episode in which Rick solidified himself as a leader because he was able to step up and do what no one else could do. Ironically, Shane and the rest of them couldn't understand Herschel's connection with these people. Therefore, it was easy for them to kill the walkers, however, when Sophia walked out of the barn, you saw it on their faces.
Poor Carol. She's been through some s**t...to say the least. Don't know if anyone really gets a happy ending on this show...but I hope she does. Top episode.
Hahah love ur reactions to Shane , he was a menace and loved it - just such amazing story telling that rick became Shane in the end but hated Shane for how he was
I'm a year late, I know, but there's no way anyone could have possibly known Sophia was in the barn. One thing that's sad to think about, is it was Otis that put her in the barn. They encountered him at least 3 days before his demise. This is hinted by Rick in a later episode after Otis' death, as he says "This is day 3 we've been looking now". With all of this information, it is confirmed that Sophia died within 2-3 days of being missing. Likely the first or second.
I always think about how much Shane would've loved later seasons Rick... Oh man! He really did exponentially grow up and got such a hard grip on his leadership and did everything in his power to protect his people. Shane would've gone nuts seeing that Rick. Too bad they wrote Shane like that... They could've softened him a bit, because he was right after all. Minus all the obsession with Lori and Carl, he would've been a great asset to the group and an amazing right-hand to Rick.
This episode had me all tore up. My mom and I would watch the show together when it was airing. I was a mess lol. I kinda thought sophia would be in the barn but I really really didnt want to believe it. It was more like omg could you imagine. Then it happened. This episode did such a good job of covering how each character/group felt about the situation when it blew up like that I felt every side blowing up too. It was phenomenal TV. This episode is 2nd to 18 miles out in this season. I think the key difference between Rick and Shane was like as similar as they are Rick always considered the group and the survival of the group. Shane only focused on himself and his needs. If that included a group or the group surviving great if some died oh well as long as its not people he truly cares about but as we saw with him doing what he did to kill rick even then lol you re not safe 😂💀
I actually had mentioned to my ex at the time that I thought that Otis had Sophia in the barn... but not dead. I thought maybe he had found her and put her in the barn before he died... wasn't sure if it was him holding her hostage or not in my mind but I actually changed my theory when I first saw that the barn had walkers in it... I never thought she was dead in the barn. Just that she was alive in the barn. Lol it just felt like the only way we would find out any kind of outcome with the sophia situation.
Man as much as I love the later seasons, I miss the chemistry of the earlier seasons. The characters that lived on had such great arcs. Shane wasn't a favorite of mine, but his character was so great to watch. His madness, lack of impulse control, obsession with Lori, dynamic with Rick, etc. So great! Edit: Seeing the entire episode again, I forgot how reckless Shane was. His character was such a contradiction, because at times, he made solid points, but sometimes he was so far off base and would keep overstepping. Ultimately, I think him being around the group for too long would've gotten more people killed because of his lack of understanding of both impulse control and boundaries. I still miss the character's madness, haha.
The whole Sophia lost & coming out of the barn isn’t in the comics at all…Shane didn’t even really make it to the farm either guys…I’d LOVE to see you guys do live readings of the compendiums of the Comics tbh 👀.
S2 Shane is how I want Jon bernthals punisher to be in marvel when he comes , an absolute judgy menace , we need a character that changes the tone in marvel and this is the guy
I just wanna know how good Shane and Rick were as police , if Shane was a dirty cop at all , as he was so ruthless lol and this wasn’t that long in apocalypse. Hi aim is so good too the way he shoots each body part on the zombie , heart and that .
@@BaddMedicine for sure , Shane gives dirty cop vibes , Rick woulda been his good omen , but I wonder if Rick ever snapped too … like s5 rick in police 😂
I did not like season two at all the first time I watched. Shane is way too intense for me. Also, I'm from the South, it's rare that I hear an accent as deep as the actors use in this show.
the last 3 seasons of the show are better than the first 3. i hope there is a reaction of 10x22 and 9x15. my favorite episode of season 2 is better angels
What was your favorite episode in season 2?
Episode 10 S2, would be my favorite, the rick vs shane throwdown
Quinn and I wanted 18 miles out so bad 😂 but this one just edged it out.
This episode then season finale 😍
Nebraska . When Rick blasts those 2 goons Dave & Tony.🤌🤌
This was another one we wanted in the top 5
From the beginning Shane was one of my favorite characters. People thought I was crazy for it but he was so complex and dragged my emotions all over the place. I really loved Season 2 and can thank the incredible Jon Bernthal for a lot of it.

They would have been deadly it was just Shane was poking his woman
Just imagine if Lori didn’t get between them and wasn’t the shitty person she was
thank you for the spoiler d!ckhead
Sophia actually lives throughout the whole comic series so I’m betting there were very few who actually guessed she was in the barn. I mean of course I think we all believed at a point she was dead but definitely didn’t guess that outcome lol. Season 2 is such a killer season I loved it so much.
Lol, this is one of my favourites, definitely my favourite of season 2
The dynamic between the characters in season 2 is really overlooked imo
Imo nothing will touch the first 2 seasons.
@@BaddMedicine You guys should react to the earlier seasons on the channel, have a lot of nostalgia with this episode.
This is definitely one of my fav episodes!! Great reaction. I never saw this coming with Sophia. I was so hoping she was still alive somehow. 😩
We didn't see it coming either
Aw man this top 5 ep series is making me want to go back and watch all the old episodes over again😭
Do it. 😁

I haaaated this twist & the dale one too because it’s what made Andrea tank in the show & removed Carl’s BFF & love interest 😭
OF COURSE. Another one that HAS to be in my top 5 this was such a great episode definitely can’t wait to see the rest
So much happens in this one. Subtle things. But then the end just smacks you in the face.
I miss dale. I love that he saw right through shane and his bs story about Otis. I've never read the comics so I was really surprised that she was in the barn I wasn't expecting it and I thought she was still alive
Everytime I heard the old TWD intro song I would bust a move.
Lol 🙌🏻 definitely a bop!

We might as a bonus or 2. Still chatting about that.
This episode was crazy ! I loved Shane's performance so much. The barn scene will always be a classic of this series.

i still don't like that they killed carl and sophia, but this is one of the best episodes they've ever made!
Gimple should've never had done that to Carl/Chandler

More walking dead content! Hell yes! One of my favorite episodes as well!
Such a great episode!
I love season 2. Some people call it slow but it had the needed character development.

My favorite episode is "Nebraska". It's when Rick finally gets his murder on. Too bad Shane missed it, he could still be alive.
Something about these earlier seasons is so much better than what they're putting out now it really is a shame
It's definitely evolved. But nothing will top the first 2 seasons.
no its not a shame. the last 3 seasons are better than the first 3. just becouse of nostalgia you say that.

I love this episode too but the last of the season the farm invasion is a masterpiece 🤩

I Loved The First two seasons but my favorite ep is „Here‘s Negan“ ( season 10 Last ep )
So exited to See which one is Your favorite

Randomly coming back to say I really hope “No way out” season 6 episode 9 completely forgot about one of the best Alexandria episodes
Another good one
one of the better episodes. probably in my top 12
You guys should scrap the top 5 episodes and do a favourite episode of each season ??
Lol we are starting to see more for that.
Miss Shane!! Thank you for the video! Greetings from germany!
Greetings from the states
Jon Bernthall killed it as Shane
This is my fav season.😍 Andrea & Shane
Wish they didn't take out Andrea so early. She had a ton of story in the comic.
