Hey bros Just a suggestion Please react to MIRZAPUR It is a really great show and I think you guys would love it It is also based on gangster crime action genre and it's really good Would love to see your reaction
I remember watching this live on BBC and for the last few seconds before the save happened when they cut to a wide shot I genuinely thought Tommy was going to die
Absolutely makes a difference when you don't know if there are more seasons or not. The BBC had a habit of cancelling some of the best shows, either because it couldn't get the actors back or it's remit to create a wide range of shows. There were no 6 years contracts for actors unlike the American market and Cillian was starting to get more famous in films. I've watched other shows years after they were aired and it takes away a lot of the tension when you know the main characters which have to survive to the next season.
No one seems to comment on the fact Lizzie is obviously in love with Tommy herself - not just May and Grace. It's subtle - she wants him to notice her nice dress, but he just wants her to undo two buttons; it's not a hardship for her to have given up prostitution, not just because she now has a regular job in the office, but because of her feelings. She starts to tell Tommy this, but he has so much on his plate that he's just totally oblivious and brushes it off and she gives up what she's trying to say and says she'll do what he wants.
I love how sorrowful Arthur sounds when he says no one can stop them now. Feels like a callback to when the mother of the boy he killed said “someone has got to stop you people”
Just a quick note about the soundtrack- none of it was purchased. Peaky had a BBC budget so they had Cillian make calls to his music friends - he's a BFF with Flood ( U2 music producer) and Bowie and most of the music was given for free. Good thing Murphy is a music obsessive with a radio show on BBC6 music and curates Sounds from a Safe Harbour music festival.
I hate what happens to Lizzy here. One could argue Lizzy knows Tommy better than Grace or May. Also, The scene with Tommy at the end expecting to die is powerful.
Lizzie - "No exceptions have been no hardships, do you know why? Nvm". Many people missed the significance of this line. Lizzie is trying to tell Tommy that she is in love with him.
A nice little detail. When we first see the three Red Right Hand members, the two following Campbell's orders are side by side, facing him. The man following Churchill's orders is standing a bit more apart from them, and is more in a sideways stance. I love this show to hope that's a significant clue.
I LOVED the field scene, Tommg was ready to die, and the Churchill pulls him back in and keeps him under his thumb. Thus Tommy screaming into the soil.
When Tommy met Alfie, he was able to bluff bc he wasn't afraid to die, he had nothing to lose. When Grace told him she was pregnant and wanted to be with him right before his mission, it derailed him and he was truly scared of dying
3:24 *Hans Zimmer* who writes all his music for a fictional woman in *Bradford* called *Doris,* is composing the music for the upcoming 2024 *BBC* TV series *Virdee* which is set and filmed in *Bradford.* They filmed in many *Bradford* locations that *Peaky Blinders* filmed in, such as *Bradford City Hall* (which you'll see much more of in series 4 & 5), *Undercliffe Cemetery* and *Hick Street* in *Little Germany* where one of Tommy's future workplaces is located. *Cillian Murphy* is apparently back filming *Peaky Blinders* in *Bradford* on the 1st of November, less than 6 weeks after he was filming *28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple* here.
Tommy is completely smitten with Grace. He called her right after he slept with May, he talked to her on the phone when he had business to attend to ("business first" he said when Michael was arrested), he wanted to meet her, he asked her whether they see each other again, he was hurt when she said they're trying for a baby and sad for Grace when she said it's probably her fault. He broke things off with May right after.
*Tom Hardy* met *Charlotte Riley* in *Bradford,* on the set of *Wuthering Heights* (2009) by *ITV,* which was written by *Bradford* author *Emily Bronte.* *Charlotte* has appeared in 6 *Bradford* filmed productions which includes: *Wuthering Heights* (2009), *Spanish Flu: The Forgotten Fallen* (2009), *DCI Banks* (2010-2016), *Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell* (2015), *King Charles III* (2017), and *Peaky Blinders* (2013-2022).
The parallels between Tommy and Campbell are fascinating. Campbell thinks he's a good guy, on the right side of the law and has the love of God but he's a monster, completely immoral. Tommy thinks he's a bad guy and he is but he does right by the people he harms by trying to provide for his family. He takes financial care of widows, he never forces women or degrades them like C does. He's not power hungry. He's a much better man
Alfie & Tommy negotiation scene was gold! & Quinn called it about Grace! great scene between Tommy & Campbell "it'll be me dead or you, whoever it is, he'll wake up in hell tomorrow" & no one respects you creepy Campbell, you got what you deserved by Pol! & think that was a bigger, more satisfied reaction from Quinn (over Campbell) than when Dakota got shot in FTWD & thought they'd leave it on a cliffhanger in field scene with Tommy, but Churchill saves the day! & liked the teasing Quinn gave Oak about marriage/baby in post reviews & his "it's a fookin' 5" hehe😄 absolute banger of a season!.
How does a revolver misfire? The subtitles clearly say "empty", so there 2 are empty chambers in the revolver. The chamber rotates after each pull of the trigger, so the third chamber has a bullet in it. I can't believe it takes and Englishman to explain to Americans how revolvers work! 😆
Hello from the uk!! love your reactions guys! Peakys is one of my favourites, and your right, Charlotte Riley that plays May is married to Tom Hardy, and Helen McCory who sady passed is married to UK actor Damien Lewis who played Dick Winters in Band of Brothers x
I wasn’t gonna comment today, but Mason messing with Oak on the whole Mae / Grace debate had me rolling. 😂 good stuff. Much love ❤ Edit: Watching live I thought Tommy was going to die, I was edge of my seat going no way.
30:50: man every time I watch that scene, I really always wondered… is Tommy crying because he once again, narrowly escaped “certain” death…or is he crying because of how utterly saddened that once again, he is robbed of the peace in death he has so wanted since he came back from the war? Is it both? 😮
Love you guys accents lovely I myself am a true Brummie UK so glad you love it I never tire from it have the dvds but love watching you guys watch it some parts of Birmingham are still the same well done 👍😉 can't wait until next week thank you
I've seen Cillian in a one man play and the silence that followed when it finished was for amazement - he's SO GOOD, I've also seen Helen in a play and again she killed it...BTW it's KILLian not SILLian
10:59 SoA was great the first 4 seaons, but that wound up being a C tier show while this is an S tier show through and through. Yall are right though these first 2 seaons give SoA vibes.
2/6, spoken as 2 and 6, meaning 2 shillings and 6 pence. This is pre-1970 UK currency, which equates to 12.5 pence in today's money, approximately 15.7 cents. Hope that helps.
Please react to a movie called How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies. It's a Thai movie, it centered around a young male who, after received news that his grandma got diagnosed with cancer, decided to take care of his grandma while he himself trying to secure his inheritance from his grandma. This movie is a seriously tear-jerker movie, full of family-themed lessons and, I can dare to say, this movie is a lot better than any family movies that you've ever seen or reacted before.
In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan Earth stood hard as iron Water like a stone Snow had fallen Snow on snow, snow on snow In the bleak midwinter, long, long ago

Hey bros
Just a suggestion
Please react to MIRZAPUR
It is a really great show and I think you guys would love it
It is also based on gangster crime action genre and it's really good
Would love to see your reaction
Watch Ted Lasso!!!!!
Regarding the "save" for Tommie, when we were watching week to week, we didn't know Cillian would be back for the rest of the seasons
I remember watching this live on BBC and for the last few seconds before the save happened when they cut to a wide shot I genuinely thought Tommy was going to die
@@sunshinesogo22Ditto. I'm a Brit so was watching it on the BBC iPlayer, and I remember that I genuinely gasped out loud at that exact point! 😲 -x-

I've watched other shows years after they were aired and it takes away a lot of the tension when you know the main characters which have to survive to the next season.
I was glad to see Polly take care of Campbell but I would have loved to see his face when he learned Churchill saved Tommy.😄😄
Also at the beginning of the series, she says something like 'sometimes I wish you wouldn't pay me for it like we're ordinary people'.
Yeah, to us it's obvious. Lol. I don't even think it's particularly subtle. The actress & dialogue convey it very well.
Mason Quinn being hung up for 2 episodes on the gas needed to drive to see May is hilarious. 😂
I love how sorrowful Arthur sounds when he says no one can stop them now. Feels like a callback to when the mother of the boy he killed said “someone has got to stop you people”
What's truly incredible is Steven Knight (creator) wrote EVERY episode of Peaky Blinders.
brilliant mind
There are slip ups with continuity (number of John's kids throughout the season, Finns age, etc.), but aside from that, it's amazingly done.
The fact that there are 3 separate Arctic Monkeys songs in this episode- this is the most "peaky blinders" peaky blinders soundtrack of them all😂
Just a quick note about the soundtrack- none of it was purchased.
Yep. Lizzie knows him best because she was never living in a romantic delusion.
Lizzie’s such a good character, she had an unexpectedly great arc
Lizzie - "No exceptions have been no hardships, do you know why? Nvm". Many people missed the significance of this line. Lizzie is trying to tell Tommy that she is in love with him.
The ‘he tied his fucking lace’ scene is amazing 😂
Lizzie wasn't going to tell Tommy she's pregnant, she was about to say she loves him.
When Alfie says "what ya doin?" Makes me HOWL.
A nice little detail. When we first see the three Red Right Hand members, the two following Campbell's orders are side by side, facing him. The man following Churchill's orders is standing a bit more apart from them, and is more in a sideways stance. I love this show to hope that's a significant clue.
Seems that Churchill has a soft spot for Tommy, soldier to soldier. Peace …
19:14 Mason’s right - more did happen to Michael in prison but it’s never explicitly said, only confirmed outside the show.
Oh i missed that! What is implied? The same as polly?
@ yeah, that he was sexually assaulted in prison
@@hali_55 aint no way, where was this confirmed?
@@victorflink2661 the actor Finn Cole confirmed it on Twitter after the episode aired and I’m pretty sure it was also in one of the pb books
Don't think he was, actually. You're thinking of someone else...
My favourite episode, from the amazing scene with Alfie at the beginning to the twist at the end.
I can't wait for you to watch seasons 3 and 4. My favorite is Season 4 and it gets more exciting as it progresses.
This might be the best episode of the show. Certainly my favorite
This is my favorite tv show and it’s been so fun to watch it again alongside you guys :)
I LOVED the field scene, Tommg was ready to die, and the Churchill pulls him back in and keeps him under his thumb. Thus Tommy screaming into the soil.
Bane and Scarecrow just chopping it up like old times.
When Tommy met Alfie, he was able to bluff bc he wasn't afraid to die, he had nothing to lose. When Grace told him she was pregnant and wanted to be with him right before his mission, it derailed him and he was truly scared of dying
Lizzie wrote a price on her shoe "2 b" for "bob", which is slang for a shilling.
I think it was 2/0 (2 shillings and no pennies), which was the usual way to write it.
Wow. Only after watching this video did I realize that it may have been Grace who called the office when Michael picked up the phone.
