busuu is the only app i know that actually teaches stuff how it should be and doesnt start off by teaching you how to say house and how to order at a restaurant, busuu teaches how to say "hello", "how are you", "i am" first
Busuu actually has speech recognition now in some of their lessons. I personally like it because it teaches formal and informal French. Some slang might come handy.
I feel like they can do a better job filling out the grammar section with the "tips" that are in the actual lessons but apart from that, Busuu is amazing. I love it.
Yeah I used the Busuu free version for a while but the paid version can be worth it. I use the Spanish language course. I’m sure it’s different for every language. But I enjoy it. Than you for the video :). Thumbs up
I really like Busuu! Im Portuguese and I already achieved B2 level . I definitely can see my improvement. Besides normal course, they have English pronunciation course, Academic and Business. I hope achieve C1 level . I recommend it to everyone and do it on your computer like a online study, take notes and pratice 👍🏼
Did you TEST at a B2 level?? Because that should take about 600 hours... it's about 150-200 hours per level. Go take a test and pass B2. Don't rely on busuu telling you that you are at B2.. you likely are not.
I fully agree with the value of Video in learning. It helps a lot with concentration, retention and immerson too! I think this deserves mention about Busuu: the have soweit major non-European languages, live Arabic or Japanese. From what I've read their content is mixed in quality and limited in quantity beyond beginner Level, but at that price range it might still be usefull in starting off.
This was really helpful thank you! I want to learn Spanish (doing that right now), and I think I want to learn French as I think it would be a good language to follow Spanish as it is also a latin based language. After that I'm not sure yet :-)
Thanks for the helpful reviews! Going to try Busuu for Turkish. Hopefully it's a good course :). It's on Cyber Monday sale of $3.48/mo for 12 mos. Check that: when I clicked to purchase, the 75% offer of $3.48/mo for 12 mos changed to a 50% offer of $6.95/mo for 12 mos, so I didn't buy. Boo. Appreciate the review vids, tho! You convinced me to buy the Pimsleaur Lifetime Turkish 1 course on CM sale. Busuu was just going to be an addon. Cheers!
¡Listen up! It's time to face the facts: relying solely on an app to learn a language is not going to cut it. You need to understand that an app is just one tool in your language-learning arsenal. To truly improve your skills, you must incorporate a variety of resources and approaches into your learning path. So, let's get serious about language learning and start using all the tools at our disposal!
Thank you for the informative video and just follow your program. Being a Chinese with English B1-B2 level, I've been learning B2 through Bussu for 4 days, no planning to buy VIP yet. I like the short conversation recognition, review function most. Just let me check it out and feedback my feeling after B2 study.
Strongest point of Busuu is content of the lesson system. It's quite detailed and engaging. The most disappointing feature of Busuu is the Review section. I think it's called the Award winning "Smart Review". I don't know if my premium app has any problem, but my situation is: I've completed several lessons in the app (finished 5 chapters with about 24 lessons) but the Review section only shows 16 words learnt, which are some very basic words from some beginning lessons. And it keeps show me that 16 words. I don't see any other words from latter lessons which I really want to learn! Anyone have any ideas about that, please! Another suggestion is adding real Speech Recognition feature to the most part of the lessons, not just 1 or 2 here and there.
During your lessons on the right-hand corner, there is a bookmark sign on some words. If you click it, the word or phrase will be added to your review section =)
There is now an additional Grammar tab in the Review section for some languages such as French, English, Spanish, Japanese but not for Russian nor Arabic for example.
It's seems for me the new version has less exercises. I remember in the older version some exercises have 3 sections or more unlike the newer one where all exercises are only one section
Can someone help me with how to practice speaking the language I'm learning in a structured, systematic way? I don't have any access to other people to chat with so I have to do it by myself. How can I go about it?
about lessons lenght, well, the first 40 are pretty short yeah, but at least on German, after 50 / 60 lessons each lesson ges way longer like 7/ 10 minutes each
How long a time have you spend on Busuu before reviewing it? Because the way you describe your experience isn't entirely consistent with my experience.
Busuu shouldn't aim to be like Duolingo. The latter has a bad reputation for being a useless language learning tool. Instead, Busuu should aim to be a unique one on its own. Yeah, I know this video is a year old already. I hope Busuu is much better now and a mile away from Duolingo.

It is very practical
you're right
Busuu actually has speech recognition now in some of their lessons. I personally like it because it teaches formal and informal French. Some slang might come handy.
Busuu actually has speech recognition now. I just got promoted with it while studying Italian. Other than that, great review as always
Have you tried any other programs?
@@finalcountdown7658 I currently use 3. Busuu, drops and Duolingo
I feel like they can do a better job filling out the grammar section with the "tips" that are in the actual lessons but apart from that, Busuu is amazing. I love it.
Thanks for watching and sharing!

The price point definitely makes Busuu appealing. It's not my favorite app, but good value
This seems to be a pretty decent option! Thanks for the insight!
I love the reviews and comparisons!
Great breakdown! Very helpful 😊 think I might try busuu out
Thanks for the Clear & Concise report on this language app
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Glad it was helpful!
Great review. I agree, I prefer Babbel too!

I would like to learn Dutch, the language seems to be available at Busuu. Thank you for the good and helpful review.
You are welcome!
Great video. I’m going to order Busuu to learn Spanish.
Can i ask how it was your experience using Busuu to learn Spanish?!

Facets. I use a number of tools and apps, including writing
Thank for the information about busuu
I've been using Busuu for several days now. Do you know if there is a limit on how many lessons one can complete with the free version?

Nice :)
How much progress have you made with Busuu?
so cool! I want to learn Spanish 💃

The review I've been looking for.
I appreciate the fact that you didn't hold back when talking about negatives.
Love your honesty mate.
Thank you! Appreciate that
Ive used duolingo for a year and im going to change to busuu because the japanese course isnt showing any speaking lessons
Duo can get really frustrating like that. Thanks for watching!
I like the fact is has actual country based people and images. I also want to learn about Japanese people.
I recently downloaded this app because it was free to use. I'm trying to learn German so we can hopefully move to Germany.
Very cool! Good luck
Great review 👍
Thanks! 👍
I cannot change my level I mean app requires to take premium. Is it possible without buying premium to go to the other level?
Hey John! I want to learn French, it’s the national second language where I live!
From Canada, eh? Thanks for watching!!
I think the levels are too short for the levels they claim you are at.
Does busuu provide french language certificate
Busuu Was good, not anymore. The app takes too long to load, and has too many bugs that just frustrate me to keep on learning the language 😩
Does anyone know how do I get the 50% OFF premium plan? I'm clicking on the link in the description but I can't find the discounts
I prefer Busuu now than 3 years ago. It has a better interface.
Can someone help me with how to practice speaking the language I'm learning in a structured, systematic way? I don't have any access to other people to chat with so I have to do it by myself. How can I go about it?
I really like Busuu's context, but I feel like I can't remember things when they get more difficult, because they pass very fast.
They could afford to work in more spaced repetition. Thanks for watching!
I would like to learn German. Hope to travel there one day
Very good reason :)
I ❤love busuu 👍👍👍
i'm learning german from bussuu app ❤
Nice!!
about lessons lenght, well, the first 40 are pretty short yeah, but at least on German, after 50 / 60 lessons each lesson ges way longer like 7/ 10 minutes each
Did they remove the offline mode in the new object?
How long a time have you spend on Busuu before reviewing it? Because the way you describe your experience isn't entirely consistent with my experience.
I want to learn French. Next would be Italian, and then Spanish 💕
Oh yeah, multiple languages 👍🏻
@@TestPrepInsight I read it now has speech recognition? Any thoughts on Busuu now that they have it?
how do you download each lesson now on mobile?
I want to learn Spanish, then Visaya, and then Tagalog (I wish Busuu had Filipino languages).
I love busuu
How can I download my lessons on this new update? 😢
I'm a premium member

Always a great reason to learn. Thanks for watching!

Busuu seems like a good language learning app
johnn can you make a comparison of memrise please
Memrise vs Busuu? they are somewhat similar, so would make sense
@@TestPrepInsight can you do a review of memrise in 2023
Yes, we're planning to do so soon 👍🏻
First time hearing of this one.
Not our favorite, but has some nice perks
Trying to learn Bisaya. Not sure I'd this program is best.
No kidding! That will be cool :)
I want to learn Italian

Sadly it isn't
I actually would love to learn Mandarin!
Very cool!
