- If you are looking to get the platinum trophy for the Dead Space remake the Impossible trophy is be the hardest challenge. You can actually cheat when getting the Impossible achievement by using online save backups to avoid the save deletion due to being able to redownload your save.
It defeats the purpose of the difficulty but will help you get that trophy. - Ігри
You can literally just pause the game, even during a death animation, quit the game and reload it. You'll be able to load up and continue from your last save with your Impossible save intact.
So it’s just hard mode but everytime you die you just and restart the game
This is not true. Just died in chapter 7 immediately quit to the main menu and pressed continue and it put me back to the moment you have to run to the elevator in chapter 1

@@reanukeeves1164 I started the game at 3pm Friday and got my last achievement on Sunday afternoon. I played the whole game online after release. I didn't personally use the cheese as I managed Impossible on my first attempt, but I tested the cheese on Saturday before starting my run and it definitely worked, and I have friends doing their run now that confirm it's working for them too.
Even easier exploit quit to the main menu of the game before the death animation finishes and fades to black, your last save file will be intact, this could patched eventually so use the first trick as well.
I used both of these tricks back in the day when running DS3 hardcore mode for the plat.

What about even before you die.? just u have red health and you are about to get hit pause exit and reload. Is even better.
For my Xbox brethren out there, there's a couple of things you can do. First, as mentioned in the comments already, you can pause and quit out to the main menu during a death animation and you should be able to load your last save on Impossible.
There is one other trick, it's a bit involved. Make a save, have the Xbox go offline, and keep playing offline, reconnecting and saving again when comfortable doing so to update the cloud save and going offline again, then in the event you die you can close the game, delete your local console save data, reconnect to the internet, and when you start the game again it'll download your latest cloud save.
How do I know this works? I did the same thing with Sekiro to get three of the four ending achievements in one playthrough. It's convoluted yes, and I do wish I could just use a USB drive like I did with Dead Space 3 but it does work. You might have to redo long stretches of gameplay depending on how things go and how often you care to update your cloud save but it's better than losing your entire run, I hope this helps someone.
I did the clear cache trick on dead space 3 hardcore I only died once I think to the chapter 12 glitch in the cutscene when daniks men are shooting at you in the cutscene I quit out before it registered my death
Also why does the reward for beating classic gives you devil horns and beating hardcore gives you retro mode am I missing something? Shouldn’t the rewards be the other way around? Like I’m glad the devil horns is easier to get but still
I haven’t gotten to where I’m gunna do impossible difficulty yet but how long do you have to quit out before the game counts it as a death is it when the full death animation ends or is it as soon as it starts?
@@NoahWilliams6258 It counts when the animation ends, when it fades out, so you have a few seconds where it's completely safe to quit out, the sooner the better of course. As I mentioned previously, you can also go offline if only to test the quit-out window to get a feel for it without losing your run.

I actually ran once on Hard to get a feel for what Impossible would be like, and aside from a couple BS close calls during the Imp run, it was an incredibly smooth run. I basically maxed out my Suit and Plasma Cutter asap, and just sailed through it. My completion time was just over 10 hours.
Want a real challenge that should have been an achievement in the remake? Beat the game on hard mode without using the kiosk or upgrade station. What you find is what you get, with weak armor/weapons from beginning to end. Honestly that should have been the real impossible mode.
But impossible isn't like hard, you have advanced enemies at the start of the game

This is a stupid trophy it’s honestly This is a 12 hour game not 1 hour. Imagine playing this game for 10 hours getting to pretty much the end of the game and getting killed by some cheesy BS and having to start over again that’s a complete waste of time

Lol you can quit the game if you think you're about to die, so even if you don't use backup it's quite manageable
To be honest, It wasn't hard enough. It seemed like a challenging concept at first, but once I fully upgraded my plasma cutter, flame thrower and suit to the max, it was pretty easy. I was just praying that my game doesn't crash the closer I'm near chapter 12.
If you want a real challenge, though, you should try and beat the game on hard mode without using the kiosk or upgrade station. What you find is what you get, with weak armor/weapons from beginning to end. Honestly that should have been the real impossible mode.
Just to clarify, when it says one save, you get EXACTLY one save, correct? It's not just one singular slot in the memory where you can save?

It was surprisingly easy, probably because I finished professional mode on RE4 remake before this, I only used this method twice because of environmental kills.
So it's not like Callisto Protocol where I can play on easy and switch to impossible at the end to get the trophy?
You can’t switch to impossible difficulty at anytime you start fresh new save and complete it in one go.
What does it mean to "disable auto download?"
Does one save mean one save? Or just one save slot that you can overwrite with a resave whenever you need to?
Yes, I just started it myself. The description even stated you have one save SLOT, not that you can only save once per playthrough. You can save in one slot as many times as you want on impossible mode. But people don't know how to read nowadays I guess.

The other difficulty achievement is Medium, yes it'll pop them both.
The original dead space 2 was 3 saves to get the hand cannon I wise this was the case in the remake.

Yes, You have one save slot so if you want to take a break you can quit the game but if you die it deletes the save file or you can continue on hard mode

Just to clarify you can save as much as you want but the moment you die you get sent to hard mode. If you want the impossible trophy you can’t die EVER. If you die once the trophy is void and you have to start at the beginning in the game. You can cheese this by quitting right before the death screen finishes. When you load back up it’ll bring up your most recent impossible save.
@@thatchersandifer7211 Well that changes everything for me. I honestly thought I would have to clear a weekend schedule for a two session impossible mode run. I was thinking like RE2 or RE3 remake in which you have like 3 saves in the hardest difficulty.

I just paused as I died and closed application, reopened the application and loaded my latest save. Works a lot better and quicker

Just to make it clear. If you manual save and die am i able to download the save data from the ps5 dashboard and start from that manual save in game or do i have to manually upload the save file from the dashboard?
You will need to manually upload the save after you hit a manual save point. Then if you die you can redownload your latest save to keep going.

Dude. You have like 10 seconds of death animation to quit to the main menu and go back to your save… I literally only play on impossible. You should never actually fully die if you’re paying attention
You don't need to backup saves I died and immediately backed out and it worked , I still have my save but most likely it will get patched soon

How will this work with disabled auto save? Surely you won’t have a file to download?
It doesn't disable all auto saves. Just the ones in the middle of chapters. You still have your start of chapter save file so you don't have to beat the game in one session.

Doesn’t apply to Xbox. They don’t have access to upload/download cloud saves like PlayStation does. It’s all automatically sync’d.
On Xbox the save is on console and in cloud. You can delete your save from console and download the save from the cloud.

Because of our inability to disable auto sync, Xbox games can sync before you have a chance to delete the console save, making the cloud save the same data as the console save. It’s not like PlayStation where you can have auto sync turned off which allows these kinds of game exploits.

Normally on other games with Perma death I do similar exploits occasionally, but I love dead space to much to do it dirty like that
On xbox you can literally just close the game when you die and re launch it non of this deleting and downloading data lol

You get a single save slot, but you can save as many times as you want throughout the run.

Miss it one time and you need to start over. This is great fail safe to have.
Don't need to close the game, no rush needed, just press option and quit to main menu of the game before the death animation finishes and screen fades to black.

It is called impossible mode. I thought platinuming the original ps3 game was pretty easy, so this will be a challenge at least. I will probably do my main two playthroughs on hard and then my last playthrough on impossible.

@@yourstepdad97 First of all, I have played and finished this game almost a week before release. Secondly, I have played NG+ and it doesn't give you the option for Impossible mode, only for Hard mode.
And third, I don't go around calling people dumb before I do some research.

@@kimshoemaker3129 I don't know why they made it like this. But the Impossible mode is actually Hard mode with Permadeath, hence the name Impossible. Cause of this I won't be able to do the Plat trophy for this game. I will try in the future, but I will fail.

Yeah I won’t be getting platinum in this game due to this dumbass trophy. I wish they’d eliminate all difficulty trophies in games. Having them in games is basically giving the finger to the gamers that require accessibility options in order to play & enjoy the game.
I like when games make you work for trophies, gives you something to work towards. If you can’t see yourself getting it, then don’t stress it.
There's incredibly strong autoaim, but in that one regard I can see what you're saying, but in another it's just a trophy. There's no point if they're handed out like candy.

Unfortunately not possible on Xbox. You can't manually upload saves, nor can you even copy them to USB. Way to go, Microsoft 🙄. This is my first Xbox too (gift from my wife), and while it has many pros, I'm baffled at the lack of these basic functions. Oh, because of cheating... yeah... why doesn't Sony have these issues then? FFS, Microsoft. Absolute buffoonery. The inability to manually backup saves and repeated achievement glitches (so many achievements on various games either don't pop, or unlock days later... what is this?!?!) is definitely turning me off. Guess I'll do this the hard way on the Series X (... until the achievement doesn't unlock YET AGAIN 🙄) while hunting a PS5 online...
