There's actually a 6th table setting and a 6th microphone for their member Goo Hara who sadly passed away in 2019. A very touching addition for the music video to commemorate her.
RIP Goo Hara. We will always love you. (There's also a 6th place setting at the start of the video for her too. The mics at the end just make it full circle.) Back then, the big triangle for gg was WonSoKa--Wonder Girls, SNSD, and KARA. KARA has a number of huge hits in SK, and they were actually even bigger than SNSD in Japan. iirc they were only topped by Twice in Japan (I think last year) despite having disbanded back in 2016. Mister, a b-side track, absolutely swept Korea with its sound and signature butt dance. Step is also like...my favorite party song ever. I hope you guys get a chance to listen to their past stuff at some point. :) Synth-y electropop was very much their signature back in the day. Also. Nicole's abs and the hip movements in Step were probably my gay awakening in high school. I'm completely serious. Songs to check out (though you might already know them due to popularity): Mr., Lupin, Pandora, Step.
Kara gave us a comeback, a killing voice medley, and a MAMA performance all in one day. Absolute queens. Highly recommend you check those out if you have a chance
RBW acquired DSP Media not too long ago which is who KARA was under when they were active, hence their stuff being labeled as RBW now. As far as ages, the oldest 2 members, Gyuri and Seungyeon, are 34 (1988), Nicole is 31 (1991), and the youngest two, Jiyoung and Youngji, are 28 (1994). Jiyoung is the girl in the beginning y’all were fangirling over (she also does the first rap) and Nicole is the one who was in red for that floor dance scene and who had the second rap! As some other people have mentioned there is a sixth member of KARA, Goo Hara. She passed away in November of 2019. That is why there are 6 mics at the end ❤️ I really hope you check them out! Their music is phenomenal and they are a pinnacle of 2nd gen k-pop. They did a Killing Voice video as well! Might be a nice introduction to their music for y’all 😊 Some of my favorite KARA songs are Rock U, Step, Damaged Lady, and Mamma Mia!
DSP Media also promoting KARA while the group is under their parent agency RBW because Youngji is still in DSP Media while the other members are in different agencies
you didn't count wrong, at the end it shows six mic's because member goo hara died of suicide in 2019 so they put the mic there because it's ot6 forever 😭♥️
Not just on mic and tableset... But she embossed in lyrics, vocal composition(one obvious of it is they usually made JY rap together with Hara chan before or after Nicole part), wardrobe and themes, etc etc...
Our 15 year Idol vampires!! They’re Iconic and timeless In the first scene there’s also a 6th place seating at the table, which as someone else mentioned with the mic’s, is also representative of Goo Hara who passed away, there’s also a 7th member who was one of the originals but she’s no longer doing anything idol related, she left a year after debut in 2008. Hara was Sulli (fx) best friend, so much so that they considered eachother sisters and would find the time between schedules and everything to spend time with each other. Kara lost Hara to suicide a month after Sulli passed. They are considered kpop Juggernauts. The oldest is an 88 liner and the youngest two are 94 liners
KARA are known as one of the standard G.O.A.T groups of kpop for their songs, vocals and visuals. Never too late to know them, their songs (all of them) will live with you forever.
Kara has always been legendary. They’re one of the top GG in Korea & the top Kpop GG in Japan. They’re huge in Japan. I’m so proud to see them bloom since debut. They still got it & still look gorgeous as ever. KARA never fails to us. This year is a blessed year for 2nd Gen fans. Do check out other Kara MV.
The reason they are serving EVERYTHING is they are ICONIC and LEGENDARY group that used to hit chart #1 on both Korea and Japan at the same time. They are even more seasoned now and that is classic Kara sound ugh!! Im so happy i cant even describe how i feel
Quick explanation here 🌟🌟🌟 Kara debuted under DSP media and that was acquired by RBW entertainment, company that houses groups like Mamamoo and Purple Kiss. In this music video, they are 5 member but Kara is 6 member group but sadly one of the member, Goo Hara passed away. That explains the 6 mic in the end. Kara is an iconic girl group from 2nd gen. They were extremely popular both in Korea and Japan with song like Step, Mamma Mia, etc.
They are awesome. I didn't watch the whole vid yet obviously but I hope you also do their killing voice vid, bc it is awesome 😁 They are 2nd gen. Iirc they started 2007. They were under DSP, the company that also houses Kard. They bought them. That's why they are under rbw now. The 6th mic is to honor their member that already left this world. Her name was Goo Hara.
I'm so happy you reacted to this! As a Kamelia and a 2nd gen fan, this was one of the best surprises k-pop had to offer this year. I'm glad you recognized and appreciated my biases, the rapline, if you will, Jiyoung (the redhead with blue contacts Han said is stunning which she very much is, she's also the maknae of the group) and Nicole (the one with the shoulder-length blonde dyed hair, petite stature and imo striking features, she's Korean-American but moved to South-Korea at age 15 to train and become an idol, hence, her Korean these days is better than her English, she's the main dancer of the group fitting to the title of this song). I loved the little elements they incorporated to commemorate Goo Hara. She'll always be a member of this group, Kara will forever be 6. If you'll react to them again in the future, I highly recommend you check out Lupin, Pandora and Damaged Lady. Especially Pandora and Damaged Lady are highly underrated but will forever be two of my personal favorites of theirs and very much iconic. Damaged Lady was for the girls and the gays. 🤭🏳🌈
This song is their 15th anniversary, they debut under DSP (Kard's company), Jiyoung, Gyuri, Seungyeon, Youngji and Nicole are the members of this video, they had a member who passed away due to very tragic reasons, RIP Hara.
I love how the song has enough umph to make dancing along to it fun but it's restrained enough that I don't *have* to dance to it. To your point about it feels nostalgic, I feel like this is getting in on the wave of early 2000's callbacks in recent K-pop but it legitimately feels like a song from that era rather than just using that musical vocabulary.
i never in my life thought we'd get a kara comeback!! rest in peace goo hara, the missing sixth member :( but it's so awesome to see the five together, some members never promoted together before! they were my 2nd fav girl group of all time after wonder girls. so many iconic songs, they have always had a "nostalgic" sound and i'm so glad they stuck with it while giving a modern twist
Not sure if any other comments have mentioned this, but they’re a part of WonKaSo - three of the biggest girl groups from 2nd gen that debuted in 2007 - Wonder Girls, Kara and SNSD (Girls Generations).
@@yriz89 Yeah, when I discovered KARD a few months ago is when I realized that RBW had acquired DSP. And then as a Moomoo, seeing the new kids coming up like Purple Kiss and the support they get from idols like Moonbyul is so cool. But then to see a group with 7 years *more* time than Mamamoo and on RBW is just remarkable.
Oh right, yes, this was a reunion comeback. They formally "disbanded" in 2016, though iirc the members have always denied that and said the door is open for coming together again. After RBW acquired DSP Entertainment, they essentially gained the rights to KARA. DSP mostly acts "independently" (though many of their staff have been replaced by RBW I think) as a subsidiary, but since almost none of the members are under DSP anymore, it was probably more straightforward to put them under RBW for this. (Or RBW was the one that approached them all to extend the opportunity.)
Goddammit! I was retired from Kpop-fandom and KARA's's comeback is pulling me into their fandom AGAIN! After 10 years, This comeback was very emotional to me because the first time I fanboy-ing Kpop I didn't recognize them but slowly I love KARA, and I joined their fandom. the reason is they're consistent with their style, not many idol group are consistent with their original style somehow they have to follow the trends to stay in surface, but KARA are breaking that odds they win a lot by using their original style and even today they're not changing it but polish it to stay update with current generation and only few idol group can do that but still killing it, summoning the old-fandom and sucking youngest-fandom into their fanbase by their amazingness.
There are actually five current members of Kara, sadly Goo Hara who was the 6th member passed away in 2019 and so the 6 microphones are in memory of her. If you're looking for the most iconic Kara MV's to watch then I'd suggest Mister, Lupin, Jumping, Step, Pandora and Mamma Mia to start with. But there are many more and that's not even factoring in their iconic Japanese hits as well.
Company-wise, Kara debuted with DSP Media, who were one of the OG huge Kpop companies in first and second gen. DSP started to fall off a bit in the 2010s when their CEO suffered a stroke, and they were eventually acquired by RBW in January 2022, which is how they ended up at RBW.
@@Raphael-2 they didn't "officially" disbanded. DSP announced members didn't renew, but Gyuri said they didn't disband. I'll take Gyuris word over the CEOs wife anyday. She ruined DSP.
@@negatron5514 Ok I forgot about it. All the articles only talk about official disbandment announcement, and even the articles about this reunion comeback mention their disbandment but it's true she said that.
@@CesarNoelQ RBW being one of the best in promotions is not really confirmed. They have great artists, great groups, great songs and productions, but most of what they release doesn't meet the success expected. Originally Kara was forged in about 14 yrs ago & they were hugely popular in Japan along w/ Girl's Generation 8-10 yrs ago. The current new Kara's age ranges from 28yo to 34yo.,,,,At 1:12, she is Jiyoung or Jiyeong 28-29yo, & also an actress in both in Korea & Japan ( her command of Japanese is quite good & so acts in Japan as well.). FYI, 3 of the members never actually performed together in the group at the same time. Jiyoung and Nicole left the group in 2015, and there was a reality show to pick the new member, which was Youngji. This would be the first comeback that all 3 of them are in the group at the same time. I'm glad that they are now under RBW, since DSP was such a crap company. One of my favorite songs that I never see mentioned, is "Damaged Lady", that was the last comeback with Nicole and Jiyoung, it is an awesome song.
they debuted in dsp and remained there until their disbandment. but I think it was that same year, rbw bought 51% of dsp, that's why they produced it. and the sixth microphone was a tribute to goo hara, in the beginning there are others too, like the table scene in the first 5 seconds, there is a plate, cutlery and a glass served for a sixth person.
You can see on the bottom left of the corner of the music video that they made it on Nov 24. (In memory of Hara, and there are also 6 glasses when they make a toast in the beginning)
Do a reaction of their recent Dingo Killing Voice video where they performed a series of classic hits back in the days of Rock U to current When I Move... You will ❤️ it.
Five members currently, but was six , unfortunately the untimely death of HARA , I will always remember them as a six member team, but have gotten used to it now!

if you like older groups you should definitely check out apink. they still release new bops. kara was an iconic group back in the day with many hits. definitely check out pandora, damaged lady, mister, and lupin by them
I hope you both could react to their MVs in the future because they exude iconic energy in all of them. They are all really catchy and quite strong vocal-wise, which is why they were insanely popular 2nd gen idols, and one of the few, if not the only 2nd gen girl groups who could level with SNSD imo. I would also suggest reacting to their Killing Voice video where they sing some of their most iconic songs (you can also really appreciate their live vocals)
If you ladies enjoyed that you will enjoy Kara overall. Only thing missing here is Goo Hara. Hope you do a deeper dive. Without a doubt worth the time and effort.
Kara is from DSP (they are Kard seniors) and this is their 15th anniversary. RBW bought DSP this year.. In 2014 there was a reality to choose a new Kara member, and Somin from Kard was in 2nd place. Young Ji won.
I will love it so much if they react to everything KARA have released, their solos too. They're going to be mind blown because When I Move despite being great is arguably one of their less impressive songs. Their debut Break It is already one of the greatest songs of kpop.
This 2nd gen group is like a breathe of fresh air in all these current groups. Been a fan since 2009 and to see this now again is more than nostalgia, it’s like revisiting my first time into kpop all over. My first bias in kpop is in this group 2:11 (Nicole)😅👌 Note: the 2 oldest members are 34. Youngest would be 28. They’ve been in this for quiet a while.
OMG, I noticed that you have not do the reaction videos of KARA. Ladies, you must watch and listen to their MVs and music, you'll love it. Rock U, Pretty Girl, Honey, Jumping, Wanna, Mister, Lupin, Pandora, Step, Damaged Lady, Mamma Mia!, Cupid The songs above are my recommendations for you, they all have MV to react. Hope you can enjoy these.
After Girls Generation and 2ne1 reunited they've given hope to the 2nd gen gg to continue working in producing music. Anyway..aren't you interested in reacting to Aespa's music on your channel?

You can see on the bottom left of the corner of the music video that they made it on Nov 24. (In memory of Hara, and there are also 6 glasses when they make a toast in the beginning)
Do a reaction of their recent Dingo Killing Voice video where they performed a series of classic hits back in the days of Rock U to current When I Move... You will ❤️ it.
Five members currently, but was six , unfortunately the untimely death of HARA , I will always remember them as a six member team, but have gotten used to it now!
There was also six plates and sixth chair at the start of the music video other then the six mic stands for goo hara RIP QUEEN
Glad you enjoyed this song kara is iconic
You should react to their killing voice
Would appreciate it
MOTHERS, hope u can check out more songs of them, they are ICONIC
If your eyes were fast, first cake candle Guraha Initial k
1:23 Dancer When dancing while lying down, the last dancer is alone
1 empty glass on the first table
6 microphones at the end of the last song
KARA is back!!!~ ♡
6th plate and microphone broke my heart 😭❤️
As kpop fan since 2008, it gives me only 2nd gen vibes, since the mv concept until the song. 🥳
Kara = the idols of your idols! ~ 2nd gen was the best era!
I really miss Goo Hara but i'm pretty sure she was there for them! I'm sad that their promotions were so short but happy to see them back together.
RIP Goo Hara. Good Song.
RIP MISS GOO HARA ! Gone to soon !
I would say you should check out Step, Pandora, Damaged Lady, and Cupid. I would also say Mamma Mia but I think you've already seen that one.
if you like older groups you should definitely check out apink. they still release new bops. kara was an iconic group back in the day with many hits. definitely check out pandora, damaged lady, mister, and lupin by them
There's killing voice they did soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Thank you RBW for the awesome promotion...
I will love it so much if they react to everything KARA have released, their solos too. They're going to be mind blown because When I Move despite being great is arguably one of their less impressive songs. Their debut Break It is already one of the greatest songs of kpop.
its a reunion comeback!
This 2nd gen group is like a breathe of fresh air in all these current groups. Been a fan since 2009 and to see this now again is more than nostalgia, it’s like revisiting my first time into kpop all over. My first bias in kpop is in this group 2:11 (Nicole)😅👌
Note: the 2 oldest members are 34. Youngest would be 28. They’ve been in this for quiet a while.
Please react to kara ‘Pandora’ and ‘damaged lady’🥹🫶🏻
Love to see this, I've loved Kara since 2010!!
You guys should check out Lupin, it's a classic!
😭 seeing the 6th mic made me teary
hara would be so proud
Yes you have done RBW artists before, MAMAMOO and PURPLE KISS.
"If they had a genre it would be iconic" so true!
U girls reaction is the best reaction I’ve ever seen ❤
OMG, I noticed that you have not do the reaction videos of KARA.
Ladies, you must watch and listen to their MVs and music, you'll love it.
Rock U, Pretty Girl, Honey, Jumping, Wanna, Mister, Lupin, Pandora, Step, Damaged Lady, Mamma Mia!, Cupid
The songs above are my recommendations for you, they all have MV to react.
Hope you can enjoy these.
You should check out their killing voice!
마지막에 마이크스탠드 6개는 사망한 메인멤버 구하라를 추모하기 위한 것입니다.
The last six microphones stand are to commemorate the dead main member, Gu Ha-ra.

KARA IS FIRST OR SECOND GEN K POP! Mid thirties I do believe!
2nd gen. They're part of the holy trinity WonSoKa, 3 groups that debuted in 2007 alongside Wonder Girls and Girls Generation
After Girls Generation and 2ne1 reunited they've given hope to the 2nd gen gg to continue working in producing music.
Anyway..aren't you interested in reacting to Aespa's music on your channel?
Please react to Brown Eyes Girls
they are not origanaly from rbw because first artist from rbw is mamamoo... but i dont know how they be under rbw either sign with them as a group or rbw bought their organl company something like tht
