Thank you for speaking about Tesla "Panel Gaps". Currently, own a Model Y and love it! I could care less if there are panel gaps that are not perfect; it is still beautiful!
The panel gap issue is more about quality. You pay a premium for quality. So if you get something that is no perfect then in general you are annoyed. It’s why Apple charges so much. They place a high premium on quality control.
It got pretty ugly here in Europe where the German press compared the, then Chinese, model Y build quality. They were furious because they all of a sudden realized Tesla had better panel alignment then the Volkswagens and BMWs built in Germany. The thing with Tesla is that they're constantly trying to improve their cars, hundreds of improvements per year per model. They just work differently from the other brands. That means that your expectations can be flat out wrong. I believe this whole "build quality" mantra is one of these things that are just repeated without a lot of real substance to it anymore.

18:25 - just a quick note, Marques mentions the Cybertruck screen possibly being above 60Hz. The Model S/X screens are 75Hz, so it is likely that Cybertruck is 75Hz or even higher as well. It really makes the UI feel so fluid.

Why? They all did lazy videos, and now they are talking. This sucked. The testers were such tools. It is unbelievable how much these guys are outright haters. Just because they are talking nice now, does not mean they are good guys.
I think one of the main usage that nobody mentioned is for people doing lots of outdoors activities who need a bit of offroad capable vehicle. Like the Rivian or Jeep Wrangler, that's a pretty big market in the US.
those things cant climb, not one bev cant climb over 20-30miles i climbed yesterday in my L200 1.5mile up, over 130miles of highway, and then did a summer road climb, snowed in, 1mile up, over 20miles with a ton of cargo and it wasnt ilegal, my truck is abou 1.8T, total mass must be 3.5T for normal licence, truck divers have 40T limit, but gettin a truck driver licence just to drive your new zeper vehicle is mind blowingand in most of the world there is that 3.5T cap on mass for normie drivers.. this is california only vehicle..it cant drive 400miles up, no way, even 1% wld kill its range, i had 15% in places, even more, 2% on a highway, thats a rule.. and probably most of the usa states have this limit on total vehicle mass, thats mas with ppl, cargo, weighed on a scale..just like trucks have 40T limits, in order to be able to stop the vehicle..in facts some trucks goes faster up, than down, going down takes energy, ct cld get it from it, but only to an extent, i think only 80kW.. this is totaly anti off road vehicle..its sold only on hype, nothing more, its not bulletproof, that takes 20-30mm of armour, smal arms fire protection, apc's have those thinkes plates on them, designed to stop rifle bullets, jacketed ones, let alone supersonic ammo, they used tommy gun, it uses pistol rounds, some 300m/s (its allmost the same in feet/sec, 1m is 3feet, approx, 1sec is 1 sec, heh)
@@coaulsi It's hard to read this wall of text, but I'll try anyway. 1. You'd be surprised how much EVs can climb. Range suffers of course, but not too much, and you gain most of it back on the way down. It's simple physics, you can calculate the energy it takes to lift the truck up to a certain height, and how it compares to the battery capacity. It's surprisingly little. For example if you roll down a Model S from Mount Everest to sea level, you'd get nowhere near charging up the battery. 2. The CT is a very capable off-road vehicle, it has the ground clearance, low center of mass, good approach and departure angles, diff lock, plenty of torque, dedicated off-road mode, and of course more tough build than anything civilian. Rear wheel steering too, and probably more that I forgot. 3. The CT is not heavier than some diesel pickups. And a lot lighter then the Rivian or the Hummer EV. 4. Nobody claimed that it's a tank. But the CT is bulletproof, the evidence is undeniable. The trick is the ultra-hard steel, it's much harder then conventional armor, that's why you need less. Of course it won't protect you from more serious guns, but still offers far more protection than a conventional pickup.

As a commercial painting contractor that uses all the outlets in the F150 king Ranch. This truck makes a lot of sense. Having to set up a sprayer in the middle of nowhere with no power is a must for any general contractor in my opinion. You're constantly plugging in your batteries to recharge. No longer have to bring a generator around with you, which was such a pain in the past. I'm so glad I put a deposit on one back in 2019. $100,000 pick-up truck is not really that much considering my truck is selling for $92,000 right now.

@@a-don13 they said that it’s standard for all trucks to fit a certain sized board in them because it’s extremely commonly used on building sites. It doesn’t fit in the Cucktruck. Not much at all does in fact, and that’s without having either the spare tyre or extra battery taking up a huge portion of it (yep that’s right, there isn’t a spare tyre space unless you put it in the load carrying part lol). I can’t wait until the production versions are rolled out to people that haven’t been specially selected to give their reviews, and had years to make 10 of. Hopefully more people will begin to realise how much of a fraud Musk is
@@SamWilkinsonn what 😭 they literally said it does. they were talking about a 6x4 sheet of plywood which the cybertruck fits easily. infact its competitors f150 lightning and rivian r1t can not. the one design choice that i disagreed with(and i suspect will be updated for next year) is the dimensions of the storage under the latch in the bed. if they had made it longer instead of deeper then it could've fit a spare just like the r1t. idk what they didn't do that and i agree with you on that one. it took 4 years to get here. Now its here. what about this fact made you think its a fraud lmao and just to add to this.. the amount of this that "tough trucks" can't that the cybertruck can is truly embarrassing for them
This is really good content... As a salesperson who sales commercial vehicles, and also who love tech, it's one of the best content collaboration I've seen lately... Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
As the owner of a GMC Sierra 3500 Series 4X4 Dually, and being in the construction/contractor business, I can tell you that we WILL be using the Cybertruck as our work and play truck. We regularly tow our race car and motorcycle trailer, as well as a 4 horse rig, and we regularly use it to transport aggregate, soil and bags of cement with the Dually, and it tows and carries well, but that's all it does well. The Cybertruck has all the tech, all the comfort, all the speed I will ever need, and it will tow and carry what we need it to. Bear in mind, when we are towing the horses, or race car, we can't really go much above 55 mph, and even if the Cybertruck only ends up with 200 miles of towing range, that's almost 4 hours non-stop driving at a 50mph average. At that point, we're stopping to pee, eat something, stretch our legs, and that's a perfect time to charge as well. 20 minutes gets me from 15% to 85% range, and we're off again. I'm convinced most of the subs, plumbers, carpenters and electricians I know will eventually get one, or something similar, because the maintenance of EV's is FAR less than ICE trucks; we spend almost $200 per tank of diesel for the Dually.!!! I'm about to tow our horse trailer from Fresno, CA, to Seattle, WA, and that's going to cost me around $500 in diesel alone!
Spend the first $500 saving on a bed slide-out and you've got great versatility! Then add a shelf, or slide between the L Track on the bed sides for smaller stuff. . Tons of storage, all secure. Post pictures!! 👍
The truck is great, what's missing is the infrastructure to support these vehicles. The majority of homes in America have one or two 120 volt outlets in their garage.$$$$$$$$$$$
Having Marques on this type of channel would not have been viable a generation ago: tech guys and car guys never crossed paths. But it's a new world: EVs with advanced sensors and info systems that reimagine the driving experience. the next generations of car guys on YT will be hybrids of the 4 guys here in terms of their knowledge and focus.
I work construction ( Heavy/Highway) for the last 35 years and have been a truck guys same amount of time. I will buy, ordered day two, and will use as a truck.
What are you gonna carry in it. I just can't honestly see it being useful. We have a fleet of 45 f series trucks and site managers ext get expeditions.
Conventional trucks rust and Dent, wear out much quicker than I expect the Cybertruck too The ability to carry a modified tool boxes the only real challenge I see.
The Cyber truck is a revolutionary idea for a pickup truck. @8:08 Commercial airlines (and fighter jets) do have fly by wire, but they also have duel, triple and quadruple redundancy for backup just in case the primary system fails.
I'm not a person who cares much about panel gaps but we have a 2022 Model 3 LR made in Fremont and a 2023 Austin made Model Y LR and neither had any issues at delivery. Well made cars.
Same here as well as another guy inspecting his Austin built Model Y LR at delivery last year. No issues at all. After more than a year of use (and a mid Minnesota winter) I couldn't be more pleased.
@@rogerstarkey5390 Could be. There are learnings from each factory and it's smart to share those globally. Maybe if we get some folks from the German factory Tesla can start delivering more colors and better paint quality.
The Cybertruck is the automotive equivalent of a new David Bowie album. On first listen you are often repelled, or confused. But over time the edges round off as you become more familiar, then appreciative, of the genius.
Reading through the comments, I feel like jack is underrated. Marques and Jason are awesome, and so is jack. These are almost the closest to the triad.
If you ever drive a zero-turn mower for the first time, trying to go in a straight line is very hard. A few days after adjusting to it, steering is fantastic and you don't have any issue going in a straight light. Wonder if that is similar at low speed driving for the CT.
I saw all 3 of your videos and I appreciated each as you all brought slightly different takes and approaches. Special shout out to JC, who made the most entertaining video in my opinion. But again, you all did great and I really like that you got together and shared your experiences. Personally, I really like the Cybertruck a lot and I agree it's probably the most interesting vehicle in the world right now, but I'm worried that it really is unsafe for the other cars or pedestrians it could crash into. Especially pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists. I hope they can make sure it's really safe for others as well and that it can also be sold in the EU.
Jason Cammisa, Marques Brownlee and Jack rally top podcast, love your inside on cars from different perspectives (tech, engineering, costumers,...) Hope to see more collaborations from all of you on UA-cam ❤❤❤
Great commentary and comparison review. There is a lot more to come about this thing as people start to use and abuse it but you have to be impressed by what Tesla has done. I am not a Tesla fan as I hate the interiors that look like some geeks office turned into a car but this thing is really innovative to say the least. Now lets see about the practicality of this design to see if it will continue to be built. I didn't like my Rivian either btw and sold it and now drive a Kia EV6 which I love.
Too much can be made of "innovation" sometimes. How something works to live with and at what refinement level becomes the experience that leaves impressions. Refinement, how seamless tech works is also a consideration noticed by a product's user. ,
This is Tesla’s Halo car. New tech that will hopefully show up in future Tesla products. Aspirational - controversial - popular- expensive and industry changing. The roadster is just another fast electric car the truck is king
1:18 - Forgetting about Sandy Munro are we?? He drove it for sure before the delivery event. 18:57 - I think they took so much shit about the yoke on the Model S being impractical because it wasn't steer by wire, they had to make the Cybertruck steer by wire.
I just ordered my foundation cyberbeast. Will never tow, haul, or go off road. It'll just be a large commuter car for me. Never interested in a pickup truck, but this one is interesting to me.
What a great podcast! Definitely need more collaborations like this. Love Jason and Marcus coming from very different spheres. I also have to admit that Jack is certainly finding his stride and definitely prefer him to Ollie. I would love to see Chris Harris have the opportunity to be given the opportunity to do in an in-depth interview as I think this would be the icing on top of the cake. Definitely best thing from TG in ages!
Excellent show guys. I would definitely use this for work. I think once the flashiness wears off and there are way more of them on the road people will just get used to it and naturally it will inevitably will be used as any other pickup truck.
My friend who is a contractor just paid $85,000 for an F-250, so pricing is not that big a deal, the advantage of being able to lock up his valuable tools in the vault and having 240V & 120 Volt outlets will save from the need to carry a generator. The maneuverability of the CT is an advantage in construction areas and the ability to use the site power to "fill up" on the site's dime is also appealing. Nearly all of his tools are cordless and being able to store them and ensure they are ready to go is a big deal. The only real downside is when he gets occasional jobs out of state and refueling is a worry but paying to fill up the 30-gallon F-250 tank = $150 dollars compared to the $50 for CT even if it takes 30 minutes longer is a $200 per hour factor. The range of F250 is about 400 miles while CT is 340 miles
Good job to all three teams on their videos. I’m looking forward to this for boondocking purposes with my RV travel trailer. I can plug the trailer directly in to the truck and run everything. When the truck battery gets low just drive to the nearest SuperCharger. You are literally bringing power to your RV.
Jason and Marques, please work together more. Jason's car content production expertise with Marques's reach is a great combo. You could learn a lot from one another, and with Randy and Chris Harris, should lead the next generation of car geeks somewhere more down to earth. I don't think anyone cares where or how -- you don't need to start with something fit for BBC because we'd still listen to you if it was a low-fi podcast it took 30-mins to bootleg
Foreman and contractors already drive insanely expensive crew cab 2500's with lift kits, wheels, and etc. They already spend 80-100k on their trucks. They love the flash and attention.

On topic of foreman showing up in a flashy CT. I see construction guys driving flashy F250 or F350’s all the time. At least in Southern California they do, so I don’t see how it’s any worse when they show up in a CT

18:25 - just a quick note, Marques mentions the Cybertruck screen possibly being above 60Hz. The Model S/X screens are 75Hz, so it is likely that Cybertruck is 75Hz or even higher as well. It really makes the UI feel so fluid.
Wow! I've always wanted HD satnav.. 😂
Best overall discussion between the greats in the field. I want one. BAD. Will be my first EV, Tesla and truck. House will have to be paid off first.
Luv the idea.
Same here, first EV, truck and tesla and I wanna use for everything! Use it for camping, road trips, hunting, off roading, as a powerwall for my house, its truely a car that does everything.
Same. Perfect retirement vehicle and all the grandchildren will be happy to be seen in it.🎅
The collab we all needed!!! Good job guys!
The old guys were thousands times better than that 🤡
Why? They all did lazy videos, and now they are talking. This sucked. The testers were such tools. It is unbelievable how much these guys are outright haters. Just because they are talking nice now, does not mean they are good guys.

I must say that design is growing on me every time I see the Cybertruck... It really looks like something from the future

People who call it ugly most just hates ev or Tesla. It's mimimalistic and maybe weird compared to other cars but certainly not ugly.
I do find it ugly, and im defo not against evs...
@@Zts666 I said most. You can find it ugly. It's no crime.
I would buy it if it was pink with yellow polka dots! Just to be able to thumb my nose to my eldest who still thinks Honda builds cars.
I think one of the main usage that nobody mentioned is for people doing lots of outdoors activities who need a bit of offroad capable vehicle. Like the Rivian or Jeep Wrangler, that's a pretty big market in the US.
those things cant climb, not one bev cant climb over 20-30miles
i climbed yesterday in my L200 1.5mile up, over 130miles of highway, and then did a summer road climb, snowed in, 1mile up, over 20miles
with a ton of cargo and it wasnt ilegal, my truck is abou 1.8T, total mass must be 3.5T for normal licence, truck divers have 40T limit, but gettin a truck driver licence just to drive your new zeper vehicle is mind blowingand in most of the world there is that 3.5T cap on mass for normie drivers..
this is california only vehicle..it cant drive 400miles up, no way, even 1% wld kill its range, i had 15% in places, even more, 2% on a highway, thats a rule..
and probably most of the usa states have this limit on total vehicle mass, thats mas with ppl, cargo, weighed on a scale..just like trucks have 40T limits, in order to be able to stop the vehicle..in facts some trucks goes faster up, than down, going down takes energy, ct cld get it from it, but only to an extent, i think only 80kW..
this is totaly anti off road vehicle..its sold only on hype, nothing more, its not bulletproof, that takes 20-30mm of armour, smal arms fire protection, apc's have those thinkes plates on them, designed to stop rifle bullets, jacketed ones, let alone supersonic ammo, they used tommy gun, it uses pistol rounds, some 300m/s (its allmost the same in feet/sec, 1m is 3feet, approx, 1sec is 1 sec, heh)

It's hard to read this wall of text, but I'll try anyway.
@@andrasbiro3007 oh man
you want paragraphs??
knowing all facts, do you beleive ct wld make a 50mile climb, on a 30% slope??
given its weight you can calculate it cant do it, not even 30miles, the diesel ones do arround 200miles, thats allmost 10x more
did i mention that i had half a tank when i got home
this is like lambo, can be driven only on strets/roads/highways, cant climb for shit, no practical use, i do this for a living, i use winch once a weak
i cld write it down, dumb it down for you even more, i tried, but i hate writing maths on keyboard..
@@andrasbiro3007 amnd its bulletproof to only very subsonic ammo, like the gub ammo, just slower, jacketed round pierces trough all cars, appart real protectedc ones
you know what a jacketed bullet is, right, and what tommyg gun fires??
It doesnt need to be a tank, tanks do 60° climbs, thats over 100% slope, which is 45°
All other pickup trucks i drove do this, they spent a lot of fuel doing this, bcs only changing the altitude requires real energy, all other things are just parasitic, like role resistance, air drag, etc (in fact these effects are negligible when you are driving 10mph on a 40% slope, otherwise engine overheats, el motors wld not had this problem, the problem is batteries developed for cameras.., thats why i use L200 (i used nissan patrol and toyota thundra bfr), bcs it does what the ad says it is capable off, plus its 3x cheaper, even if it cld be driven as a ute truck (utility); you mentioned two or three even heavier vehicles which are nowhere, nobody drives those bs cars/trucks
Why do you think there is a milion and one ute pickup truck under 2T?? They are advertised as 1.5T capacity vehicles, do you get that??
99% of 8bil ppl have that kind of licence, as i said, i dont know how its in a usa, even though i went to austin only once, visited nyc, my dream, along side moscow (been there too) and tokyo, which is a mega city, totaly uncompatable with any other city on the planet, even honk kong, shangai, beijing are small cities compared to tokyo, its metro area us huge, even nyc hasnt nothing on tokyo, city is like from another planet, parts of it, most oarts are pretty normal, japanesse customs .
Never been a truck guy. Ever. But - I’m getting one! More excited than ever. TESLA changing the world. Nuts!!
Three of the best CyberTruck reviews by these guys. Love this.
The only three with access to it before it was released
The first drive by system I saw was in GM's Corvette Indy concept back in 1986. To see it in a production truck is cool.
For me, it’s replacing a Range Rover that costs $1,500 to drive Vermont - Florida Return, V’s $300 in my Tesla. Al my junk goes in back, LOCKED. Win/Win!💕
12:52 that barman bit really lit me up. Wonderful story..and I loved the bit where he started polishing the truck.
I carry drywall 2x4's and plywood on my model 3. I can't wait for the cyber
Seems like everyone forgot about Citroën's Diravi when talking about the steering. Even though Diravi wasn't obviously steer by wire, the ratio did change in relation to the speed on a very similar way as described as on the cybertruck!
5 days after the delivery event I saw a Cybertruck right off highway 380 in Prosper Texas at the Chick-Fil-A drive through and got a photo. It was like seeing sasquatch and getting a clear photo. My wife has one on order and she was so mad she was not with me.
They have been all over TX for at least a month.
@@philipparana9225 Those were not customer vehicles, this one was a real production model just out to get dinner.
I'm more amazed and envious you've got a wife that loves the Cybertruck ! That's rarer than a sasquatch 😜

I am a fan of Jason Cammisa after his CT review because he truly gets it.
He truly gets that it’s crap for functioning as a pick up yeah
@@SamWilkinsonn i truly do not get when people say its not a truck. like literally, what can't this do that they can?
Now its here. what about this fact made you think its a fraud lmao
and just to add to this.. the amount of this that "tough trucks" can't that the cybertruck can is truly embarrassing for them
@@SamWilkinsonnAnything that will fit in an F150 bed will fit in the Cybertruck bed, probably more since there are no wheel wells.
This is really good content... As a salesperson who sales commercial vehicles, and also who love tech, it's one of the best content collaboration I've seen lately...
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
Finally the podcast is also on UA-cam, love it great guest. More like this ❤❤❤
As the owner of a GMC Sierra 3500 Series 4X4 Dually, and being in the construction/contractor business, I can tell you that we WILL be using the Cybertruck as our work and play truck.

Cybertruck will be the new standard in construction sites and work applications in the not very distant future
Do you really stop every 4 hrs?

Hated the CT initially, now love it. Great episode guys!
Y’all gotta get a Cybertruck over to the Nurburgring and let Misha Charoudin take it for a few laps…… That would be another 5 million views!
No semis or full slicks that size, pal. The ring does not make any sense on off-road tyres..
To be fair, he was out of his zone with the CT. By far one of his worst.
It’s another generation now. It’s another era now. CT is the confirmation.
An all star show!
Top Grear is back in gear!!!🎉
The Hagerty team, headed by Jason, knocked it out of the park. I’m just delighted to get to see the insights!

What are you gonna carry in it. I just can't honestly see it being useful. We have a fleet of 45 f series trucks and site managers ext get expeditions.
Conventional trucks rust and Dent, wear out much quicker than I expect the Cybertruck too
The ability to carry a modified tool boxes the only real challenge I see.

Not according to Jason's review on Haggerty.
As they said it is the first to do this but also it can easily be changed by a no charge over the air update in the near future. 😊
I watched all your reviews days ago, then to see this pop up with all you guys in it really warmed my heart.
Interesting how different the tone is from TG and MKB’s original videos compared to here. Jason was right before and he’s right now haha
would love to see a follow up addressing the backlash and insinuations that your independent reviews were bought and paid for??? GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!
This was a pile-up crash of 3 different areas of my life colliding. It was beautiful!
Awesome. The three best reviews of the Cybertruck were from you three!

I know that Top Gear, the TV show has ended indefinitely. But if they were to come back on, put Jason Cammisa on it please.
Congratulations TopGear!!! Perfect content! I have lost the track of time for a while.
Refinement, how seamless tech works is also a consideration noticed by a product's user. ,
1/4 way through..Nice Journalism. thank you. TG still at the top of its game
The three reviewers from Cyber Friday, all in one video talking about CT? I know what I'm doing for the next 40 minutes
It’s been 34 minutes since you achieved PN clarity, what are your thoughts now?
Jason and MKBHD??? On Top Gear??
Never thought I’d see this
I think Marquess had a writing gig with top gear for a bit, so the relationship was there. It's an incredible mix regardless
Cammisa & Hagerty leaped over every other youtube (and TV) production there is ..their quality is just mind bending!
The proper comparison for the Cybertruck is with 3/4 ton pickup trucks with comparable load and towing capacity.
Proper comparison... The Cybertruck is not in the 8 lug 3/4 ton class.
Proper comparison with the Porsche 911 went well! 😮😅😂
What a great podcast! Definitely need more collaborations like this. Love Jason and Marcus coming from very different spheres. I also have to admit that Jack is certainly finding his stride and definitely prefer him to Ollie. Definitely best thing from TG in ages!
Excellent show guys. I would definitely use this for work. I think once the flashiness wears off and there are way more of them on the road people will just get used to it and naturally it will inevitably will be used as any other pickup truck.
"more then any other pickup truck
Test drive the @Aptera next!
Just time the "fill up" to fit with lunch or paperwork.
Fit a bed slide-out.
Perfect.
I can honestly say that this is one of the best YT videos I’ve ever watched.
Jason is spot on, the lambo owners i know have like 3+ orders 🤣
They will probably be worth money in the future as rarities because nobody else seems interested.
I love how people are still so reluctant to admit that it’s real lol Some people are so weird
Foreman and contractors already drive insanely expensive crew cab 2500's with lift kits, wheels, and etc. They already spend 80-100k on their trucks. They love the flash and attention.
