Stan smith is more formal than Gazelle. In my opinion, it depends on the outfit.
Both are great shoes imo
In my opinion, Gazelles have a really slim silhouette but the Stan smith is more versatile with many outfits from casual to more formal.
I have both. Great shoes. Stan Smith's are Classic, you can wear them to almost any outfit. I have wide feet therefore the Gazelles are way more comfortable for me, because the shoe is a bit wider than the Smith's.
Adidas Gazelle seems to be more beautyful and sporty than Stani...

I just got the gazelle 2 days ago and in my opinion I think they are really comfortable.
I like stan smith, but my heart melts every time I see a black/white colorway. I don't know, I just love them, and I 'd pick it any day over the other.😂

the history of Stan Smiths is more interesting I think especially in England with how it come into fashion because of Liverpool football hooligans robbing their way across europe and bringing them back to the UK but to be fair they did that with all the classics so I suppose Gazelle still fits into that history but the Gazelles are just nicer, Smiths look a bit dated now, they're like Adidases Reebok Classics.
