happy fourth of July to everyone. if anyone knows of a CV joint that is a bit smaller that has the splines on one side and the mounting plate on the other side let me know in the comments, thanks.
What about the idea of buying a front wheel drive car and ripping out the subframe and all to get somthing that makes like 100 hp. Ps on this independent rear suspension build a subframe for the engine and axles on there own separate from the frame
rather B welding been a fan for a while. Sounds like you need some Cross Kart parts here is a company I have also liked for years. theedgeproducts.com/ they are out of Australia but that's where Cross Karts are biggest. Also you could look into Trophy Kart company's here in the states. Happy 4th
It has been my experience that if an engine is not running well once it has warmed up it is normally the coil. Considering every thing else is clean/checked. Example; Carb/s, spark plugs, and or wires.
out of curiosity, why not use UTV rear cv joints and rear end? would make more sense given the size of vehicle, weight and power you tend to use in your builds.
just food for thought the 80s subarus rear subframe bolts on and off, contains rear diff and control arms. would hold the power easily and it would work well for your purpose. 80-85 are torsen bar with shocks and 85-94 use coil over struts.
You can probably use the CV joints and swap out the axle for a shorter axle. Or make those axles shorter yourself, would just have to learn how to make the splines on the ends. By the way, no such thing as overkill on an off road vehicle. Since you are making this one from scratch, maybe AWD with IFS and IRS would be killer.
I was wanting to know if you put the petcock on that gas tank. I know that'll fix your problem with gas running into the engine. The petcock is designed to have a vacuum that opens up a valve to allow the gas to flow to the carburetors. And if you do decide that you want to sell it I'm sure someone would buy it. And one of your previous videos someone offered you money when you were testing it out. So don't worry about if you want to sell it, I'm sure if someone would buy it cuz it's a good buggy. Happy fourth Rather B Welding.
Use a snowmobile engine, I built a full size polaris rzr inspired dune buggy, the motor is a skidoo 600, anyway i used cv axles for the back end aswell and full size truck tires, these motors have so much torque that on the pavement I can do burnouts for days
Lexus rx300 rear axle shafts have a 4 bolr flange on one end and splines on the outside. Much lighter duty than that beast you have their, but perfect for your buggy.
well maybe look into vw off road desert racing rear suspension, you can use type 4 vw and get 22 degrees of defection, look at some cross cart videos maybe
Your buggy isn't charging the battery so when the battery runs down it sputters and shuts off its usually an easy enough fix it happened to my own quad and turned out a fuse was blown
I have a gs 500 - the problem is probably bad Ignition Control Unit, like on mine - those little black boxes fail in different ways - total, intermittent, one cylinder only, or runs fine for 10 minutes, then problems, or even an hour. If you take one apart they have large internal heat sink, but heat builds anyway cuz it's all encased in rubber epoxy. btw They are NOT cdi, they are simpler switching devices mimicking the old style points of last century. Bad coils and amateur ignition 'testing' can destroy these boxes cuz the coils ground thru them. I have four of these things and each is faulty in its own way; looking for an aftermarket ignition kit because the gs is a fun little bike I'd hate to junk because of a stupid electronic box.
You need a fuel pump for that if it dies after riding 5min blow into tank and see if it starts i guess it could be the broblem cause some bikes have fuel pumps, cause when the buggy sits the carbs get fuel when you ride the fuel suply of that tank isnt enough for suplying enough gas when riding
I agree with others ,get 2more CV joint and build a 4 wheel drive cart , nobody else on you tube has the skill to pull it off but Shure you can ,and I'm Shure a bunch of us would be interested in the buggy ,I'm Shure you won't have any problem selling it
Hi, which diameter does the tubing for this dune buggy frame have? And do you think it would be strong enough for a slightly bigger buggy with 100hp I want to build?
Man in the Mirror its 1 1/4in tubing, it would definitely be strong enough for that hp, I succesfully built a polaris rzr inspired frame using just 1in tubing, there is no frame flex or deflection and I am using a 130hp motor
Keep the dunne buggie and take it to an motorcycle shop to see what the problem is with the engine the high RPM issue is only the guvenar kicking in and lowering the RPM of the engine
Please don’t take this the wrong way but have of the video is just talking. I’m not saying we aren’t bored or anything but it is acting as a filler kinda. And please as I said don’t take this the wrong way I love your projects and what you do. I just am expressing my curiosity and opinion. Hence the name!
Y don’t u use the front part of this cart! Tear the engine and rear part off use the cbr motorcycle engine and electrical parts and make the independent rear suspension u want just a idea
@ *Rather* *B* *welding* Hey, You can use does CV joints if you make a long travel buggy. Go to theedgeproducts.Com they have buggy plans you should check them out. The plans are 50% off right now or you can get some ideas.
get an old suzuki 1100,or a yamaha, or Kawasaki 900. and please use your lathe, think about spending less money as possible. you bought the chevy axle, so you better use it as you thought.
happy fourth of July to everyone.

Kyle Teal crosskart parts for sure!!!
Should've at least driven it.
What about axles off a ford fiesta or chevy nova? they are tiny and should be plenty strong enough for a go kart.
"Im not gonna take em apart and clean em, im gonna hope...."
Famous last words.
You should do a garage build for keeping your stuff in, I’d watch that
Leon Johansson yes or a whole new shop, would love those videos
CV joints are smart for a rear IRS design. For the cutting out, check the CDI box, it could be on the fritz.
It has been my experience that if an engine is not running well once it has warmed up it is normally the coil. Considering every thing else is clean/checked. Example; Carb/s, spark plugs, and or wires.

I think that might be expensive
I would buy the dune buggy
Get two more cv joint and build a 4wd go kart
That tarp wasn’t going anywhere, or the cart for that matter. Lol!
I’ve been waiting for a full suspension build!! Can’t wait
just food for thought the 80s subarus rear subframe bolts on and off, contains rear diff and control arms. would hold the power easily and it would work well for your purpose. 80-85 are torsen bar with shocks and 85-94 use coil over struts.
You should build a AWD or 4wd kart
I would enjoy seeing you ride that buggy and put it through it's paces through some off road trails and mud, hill climbs.
I think I've read somewhere that 90s S10 CV axles are good for mini buggies. Can get them from the auto parts store iirc
That was the best tarp job I've ever seen
need a scratch build for the independent suspension.. pretty cool
Happy fourth. I am 100% sure that people would be interested. Hell, I would buy it if houses wasn't so damn expensive here in Socal.
Bigger Wheels too is a must.
Yea, but this is what we get when EVERY gokart builder on YT is sponsored by... well, we know who.
20" is their biggest. So until THAT changes..
i liked the other content you made, its nice to see what people do besides the regular content, keep it up
YES!!!! I remember a long time ago BEGGING for you to do a Full I.S. buggy!!! Took you long enough!!! LOL

Check out pto axles for farm machinery. Think you can get length options and a center gear box.
Needs new coils when there hot they die till they cool off ride on
jeffwarner1010 that'd be the go
Yes! Please do make a fully independent suspension CBR buggy!
Also power sports nation has to used ATV CV axles cheap. I just built a rail buggy from them and use the knuckles And hubs
Use a snowmobile engine, I built a full size polaris rzr inspired dune buggy, the motor is a skidoo 600, anyway i used cv axles for the back end aswell and full size truck tires, these motors have so much torque that on the pavement I can do burnouts for days
RandomBuildsandRandomFun when's the video coming tho?
Logan Johnson Ive been working hard on the Vid, its been taking a long time because I totally redesigned the frame, sorry for the holdup
You should totally build a 4x4 kart out of an old four-wheeler.
Lexus rx300 rear axle shafts have a 4 bolr flange on one end and splines on the outside. Much lighter duty than that beast you have their, but perfect for your buggy.
Great to see ya back home. Keep up the good work
Your a genius with your 2 speed gears and sure you have been asked this but, have you designed one with a reverse? Will you make one some time?
You had it running perfect in the last vid. The only thing that changed was you let it sit for a while. You should clean out the carb and try it then
Volkswagen Beetle the old ones. Is a good platform to get ideas of a dune buggy
*Happy 4th of July* 🎉🎉!!!!!
You have an electrical issue. Most likely an ignition problem. Maybe magneto somewhere around there. Wish I could come help you get it running right.
That is soo much better than the predator crap!
well maybe look into vw off road desert racing rear suspension, you can use type 4 vw and get 22 degrees of defection, look at some cross cart videos maybe
Basically you want to build a piranha from edge products , look em up
Chris Piazza that's what I told him to do
Don't let it beat you get it running sweet
Nice rev of your dune buggy!
Amazing vehicles! Respect! :-)
Your buggy isn't charging the battery so when the battery runs down it sputters and shuts off its usually an easy enough fix it happened to my own quad and turned out a fuse was blown

Where is your regulator/rectifier located? That thing needs airflow to keep cool. So if it is overheating you could lose spark
The go cart you used to pull out the Suzuki sounded like my mini bike. Does it have a strait pipe like my mini bike? :)
Jacob Henderson it's an aftermarket exhaust from Gopowersports
Hell yes I'd buy it.
have you contacted cars and cameras? i'm pretty sure they would love to buy your dune buggy or swap it for something cool they have maybe?
Isaac could probably troubleshoot your engine. Do some collaboration.
I agree with others ,get 2more CV joint and build a 4 wheel drive cart , nobody else on you tube has the skill to pull it off but Shure you can ,and I'm Shure a bunch of us would be interested in the buggy ,I'm Shure you won't have any problem selling it
Make a 4wd go kart ur very spart and I bet u could do it
Hi, which diameter does the tubing for this dune buggy frame have? And do you think it would be strong enough for a slightly bigger buggy with 100hp I want to build?

I have a great running 350cc 4 wheeler engine ready for that frame
I would honestly love to have something like this but I have no money😢😢
Chop a quad in half then put a one seater cab in the middle. And yes il buy it!!
Is it a spark or timing issue?
Yo I love that want to come and hang out and work on dune buggy
Yes I would buy it. Price?
you should put tires on it like the tires on the go cart you pulled it out with
how much would you sell the buggy in that condition?
Hi i love ur vids keep it up and get a dirtbike
Phoenix Maloney he has one, he is using the motor for the shifter cart at the beginning.
Always run you carbs dry when parking it for long periods of time
Suzuki vitara/rocky/jimny. Cv's should be the ticket.
Keep the dunne buggie and take it to an motorcycle shop to see what the problem is with the engine the high RPM issue is only the guvenar kicking in and lowering the RPM of the engine
I get my money right I'd love to have it
沙灘車 你做的車不錯 但為何不嘗試 卡丁車 輕量化大動力 比如放一顆 GSX1300 玩看看 應該不錯玩
How much that cost to build
Have you check compression on this engine?
Good 📹 . yes i like to bayit 😁
Please don’t take this the wrong way but have of the video is just talking. I’m not saying we aren’t bored or anything but it is acting as a filler kinda. And please as I said don’t take this the wrong way I love your projects and what you do. I just am expressing my curiosity and opinion. Hence the name!
heck if i wasn't broke i would meet up with ya and buy it
Build a off raod gokart of a car
i built a awd go kart with cv axles and full suspension with 8 lug hubs
You really should've used the petcock valve
If you don't remember the last time what fixed that engine I think was cleaning the carbs you might have gummed up carburators again
👍
can you make a 4x4 gocart
Y don’t u use the front part of this cart! Tear the engine and rear part off use the cbr motorcycle engine and electrical parts and make the independent rear suspension u want just a idea
Build a rail buggy with an older VW engine
What type of moter is it
do a race betwen the buggy and the kart you used to tow the buggy
Go 4x4!! Maybe you can take some inpiration from mastermilo82's videos. He has made some pretty awesome 4x4 offroad buggys in the past
O snap bro, i live in CT.
put the engine out of the honda in the dune buggy
Pull it out before the t-Rex gets you!
Why don't you build a shifter race kart? lol! :)
Go for it bro I'll buy it
What are you going to do the with the 600cc motorcycle engine are you going to build something with it
Like your stoft
Remeber when the thing would die after runni g for a bit . Mayne the stator is bad
@ *Rather* *B* *welding* Hey, You can use does CV joints if you make a long travel buggy. Go to theedgeproducts.Com they have buggy plans you should check them out. The plans are 50% off right now or you can get some ideas.

how old are you ???
52hp go kart!
Do a top speed test on it
Save it for the Mini short course truck
continue with the shifter cart
next buggy should be a 2 seater
make 4x4 buggy
buy link for the all parts
For inspiration you can check UA-cam channel "Stunt Freaks Team" look for "Crosskart Project" They have a beautiful build there ;-)
