I’m glad you mentioned the chest thing as I see many people do that even on UA-cam! Not to mention you are getting a constant flow of your scent since it rises directly up to your nose and you become desensitized to it rather than getting whiffs if it throughout the day.

True, also the perfume smells different on clothes than on the skin and I think the real smells in on the skin.

I agree, however she failed to mention the real reason we shouldn’t spray directly on the skin. It’s not really because of the alcohol, it’s because of the other ingredients that are endocrine disrupters. Look into those. It’s for health reasons.

I used to spritz on my neck/chest but found it quite headachey with most fragrances. Typically I'll spray my stomach/side, elbow crease, and maybe the back of my head (some neck, some hair, some of the back of my shirt). Something to note is that fragrance will smell different based on how freshly clean your skin is. When I spray it right after a shower, I find the scent takes a harsher more alcohol smell. But for instance if I showered the night before and my skin had time to collect some natural oils, the perfume lasts longer and smells a lot better too. Spraying on the back of the neck with second day hair always makes the perfume smell nicer in my experience.

You're 💯 right.Spraying perfume on skin then go out on sun can cause hiperpigmentatio ,rashes and even if you're not on sun it can lead to allergic contact dermatitis and eczema ,I love perfumes but I have very sensitive skin only place I put it is on my wrists in hair and on clothes. They smell good on skin but they are full off alcohol and fragnant oils that can be fotosensitive we have to be careful I love my skin more than smelling better and ruin it,it's the only one I have.ive herd that Nuxe perfume can be used if you are sunbathing.

Be careful with spraying it on your hair, since perfume contains alcohol which is not really great for hair health with prolonged exposure.

I live in a humid city and long lasting perfumes tend to STINK after 2 hours - your sweat and natural smell will mix with the perfume and the combination is usually nauseating. Usually I use really really light perfumes that I know will evaporate in 2 hours or so or I use body splashes - they seem to have way less alcohol/chemicals in them since they don’t stink that much after 2 hours and are also more soothing to the skin in comparison to actual perfumes.

I always spray perfume in my hair. I just found that your hair absorbs smells. Like have you ever sat outside in a campfire and then later it smells of smoke? Not the best smell but a good example.
Same I've found with more pleasant smells.
    Thanks for the video!

I always apply to the back of my neck- my hair shields that skin from the sun, and (at least in the pre-plague times 😢) whenever someone hugs you, they get a lovely whiff!

Tip for hot weather & working out: try perfume oil, I have collected oil dupes & brands such as Al Rehab. As it's heated the performance improves & smells beautiful. Also the alcohol of perfume can be drying to fine hair

I think this is good advice. Ive noticed that when I spray on my chest, or even when perfume gets on my chest a little when I spray behind my ears, it stings and turns my skin red. Clothes are tricky though. Wool is good and wont get stained so its easier in cooler climates. Cotton is OK too.

Perfumes are good for your pulse points. Because it warms up the perfume and make it last long in those areas. And I don’t recommend spraying dark liquid perfumes in your clothes bacause it can cause a stain. I prefer spraying it far away on your skin. And I recommend to spray perfume in your hair brush and brush it to your hair bacause if you directly apply it on your hair it can cause damage on your hair because of the high alcohol content.

I’ve seen people spraying the air and walking into it and it’s suck a waste of perfume. But yes, perfumes have endocrine disrupters, and for that reason, not necessarily the alcohol, we shouldn’t spray directly on the skin.

  • @writerspen010
    @writerspen010 4 роки тому +1

Depending on the perfume strength I do the wrists, chest, and behind my ears. If the fragrance is light enough, i may also spray and walk into it, or spray it onto a scarf. If it's strong, I just do the chest area, since my skin's never been affected by perfume usage, thankfully. I would never spray my hair though, since I've always struggled with dry hair and frizziness, but i would be open to eventually buying perfumed hair sprays 🌸

I was told by a Sisley brand rep at Neiman Marcus that the ideal situation is to apply on skin, under clothes and be in a cool room. She said sun destroys it after a while. I do notice it stays on clothes a lot longer, but I haven't become comfortable spraying on them a whole lot yet. As a male, I do spray the back of my head.

Great advice. I live in a humid climate (Florida) and didn’t realize the perfume would evaporate faster. Makes sense. I love the headboard to your bed and your whole bedroom set. It’s beautiful. I wish I could have that kind of headboard but my two cats would think it’s theirs and destroy it.

But what if I use different perfumes depending on my mood, my style or the ocasion of the day? I don't want other perfume stay on my clothing when is still clean to wear. On the hair I get it, I do it always and it's a perfect spot. And also I avoid the chest, which is a very sensitive part of the body, but I usually do 1 spritz on the wrist and spread it on the other wrist, behind ears and back of the elbows, 1 spritz on the back of my neck (really aiming to my hair), and sometimes on my belly or the back of my knees or lower back (you know, if it's going to me a sexy date). Also depends on the strenght of the perfume, I can't go ham with my Chance from Chanel, or Versace Bright Crystal, but I do with my Jo Malone Sage & Sea Salt, Glossier You , or D&G light blue eau d toilette or The Sun.

I found your video about applying for perfume very interesting I had always been told not to put perfume on your clothes because of the nozzle leeks it could stain in discover your clothes I was told not to put in your hair cuz it could be drying and I have heard that there are certain fragrances known as hair perfumes that are pacifically made for your hair however I do not know the difference between hair perfume in its formulation and regular maybe this is something you could do a video on and give me a little bit more education on this topic I surely would appreciate it. As well as maybe a video on the different types of atomizers 4 perfume and what the benefits abusing them are as well as how to maintain them to their optimal level things including how to fill them properly how to clean them how to unclog them and what to do if your atomizer begins leaking I would appreciate a video on that topic as well as the one on regular perfume verses are perfume in what the differences between the two formulations are thank you for reading and considering my feedback I wish you the best always with your Channel and your career as a perfume educator and evaluator as well as enthusiast.

Hhmm ...I dont agree about the perfume evaporating in warm weather. I live in a tropical island, I sprayed perfume on my skin and clothes and it stays put the whole day, thats about a 12 to 14 hours. And sprayimg perfume on your hair everyday is a big, NO, NO ! If you wouldnt spray perfume on your skin , why would you spray perfume on your hair. Just my 2 cents though 😆 Stay safe

Hmm ja, i know that alcohol is something you never should put on your skin, and especially not in this dose, in my skincare im always careful with that, but i layer almost every day my fragrances with a matching bodylotion, or sometimes with oils and that i cant do on my clothes or hairs (obviously;), and several of my fragrances just smells on my skin the way i really want that they smell... I'm 37y now and collecting fragrances since my youth, wear them of course everyday, i just try to keep my skin very hydrated and i think i can say, that the extend of my wrinkles is very less, also on my neck, etc; and even if it were more obvious, i never could stop wearing my fragrances also on my skin and would accept it (i guess;)...
