Just wait until Panasonic releases the GH6.. it will go beyond sobbing.
They will come out with 9k down sampled to 6.1k 90 fps but have 3 second recording limit
8 bit and 4k ain't going to cut it with a rehash of the s1 sensor. Body with shit ergonomics crap menu shitty buttons ain't going to cut it.
AF is shit on S1H. if they would have used some decent phase detection based AF, I would've switched to Panasonic for video.
I will wait for the a7S3 now, although I dont know what the heck Sony is waiting so long for, theres no way they can "exceed our expectations " now

Panasonic means business but the auto-focus though 13:28.
It struggles to pick Lok's face.
Since it is aimed at video users, they could have easily throw the auto-focus away and nobody would care.
That menu system seems like a godsend

controlwise way better than my a7iii. You can use the touchscreen for more than just focussing :O

Hello dear. I am primarily a music video shooter so I DON'T care so much about 6K. If I have the option between S1H+ 24-105 f4 and S1+24-70 mm 2.8 mm, what would you recommend?

It actually looks like a pretty good camera. Especially since they packed real 6K into a full frame sensor, and a body that size! Anyway, it's good to see that Panasonic NZ is taking care of you :)

Remember that the firmware was a beta version! Panasonic will improve for the production model.

The Japanese guy at Panasonic's press conference today very briefly mentioned that they were working with Atomos on RAW output. And I mean _very_ briefly. I suspect they're trying to avoid hyping it because they don't know if it will actually work out.
That’s interesting. Cause Nikon promised HDMI raw output for so long now and feels like they’re stuck. It’s also, as I heard, a bit naughty to use HDMI like that, disregarding any licensing, or formats, something like that, just HDMI is not supposedly for

Fans: Another part that needs servicing and repair apart from your shutter

DPreview had a clip of the internal mic recording the fan noise while filming at 6K! Loud! Definitely use external mic with it.

I prefer the Blackmagic Pocket 6k 50fps 12-Bit BRAW for $2495 with EF mount.
its not full frame, and Panasonic is having dialogue with apple to get ProResRaw for S1H.. But I think color from Panasonic is more accurate and renders green tone better ... choice is yours tho. But I prefer to shoot on vlog codecs not compressed braw (which is codec too)

Yeah Panasonic needs to improve their AF. It’s been lacking for a long time now
@@NickGranville cant improve AF when you are contrast based, hunting and fine adjustments are part of how contrast "dials in" the focus.
Until Panasonic goes to Phase Detection school, their AF will suck

@@Philafxs all things that would fall well within the budget that you would save by going with the BMPCC6k. And would offer more flexibility if you work with multiple systems.
@@Macsnapsmedia Had you said Z CAM, I could agree. The BMPCCs are good (as long as they are working because about a fourth are DOA ) but they are all but versatile given the excessively wide form factor, they need to be heavily rigged out making them even less versatile, and you get locked into the BM ecosystem with Resolve. Many if not most people prefer an AIO, and on the more professional end: a brain box, and happily pay extra for that. There is no way I'd get an S1H, but I would prefer it over two BMPCCs anytime.
Lol, while Panasonic is flooding the market with great VIDEO cameras, Sony is releasing garbage stills cameras and dying in obscurity in the video market. If i was in the market for 6K, I would wait for the ZCAM E2-F6, their full frame 6K.
