Thank you for sharing. It is hard to find videos of the horned viper, especially one with an unboxing and handling. Those things are nightmare fast. I almost stepped on one in Africa, but was just out of strike range. Someone else on our mission got bitten and envenomated several times when they stumbled and fell on one in the rock scrabble. Nasty bite for sure. Lots of extreme necrosis and tissue damage, and they seem to have a terrible cardiotoxicity. We saw a lot of locals who had been bitten, most didn't die, but had loss of digits and even limbs. Very little antivenom was available.
I would LOVE to see you get those red spitting cobras out! But also understand why you don't really wanna mess with them! Lol and those sand vipers look really awesome. Can't wait to see more!
Hello I’am French and close to North Africa! I have seen this viper in Morocco! It’s weird because someone have horns and some not! They strike very quickly, in Morocco the large puff adder is awesome too ( vipère heurtante) in French! I love snakes from desert! Thanks buddy ✌️
Yo Iv never had an interest in snakes or reptiles, but just your love and knowledge of these animals has got me hooked on your channel no bs man the way you break everything down is spot on your video structures are solid, the story vids too 👌like the one about you getting busted in Maryland (I’m from Manchester England and never heard of the incident or that state) and the other one about the tic, your a natural story teller man honestly keep it up. Sorry about the arse kissing but credit where credits due !
dude that horned adder is sick asf! I know they are pretty hard to get (maybe unobtainable) but would be cool to see some spidertailed vipers on the channel.
Here for the tiktok give way, also been a constant viewer of the channel for almost 2 years, love your content, keep up the good work, definitely my favourite venomous UA-camr
I'm not so sure about any upcoming videos you pitch because as far as I know one was never made to update the naming of the lady king Cobra but I still enjoy whatever you DO put up so that's cool.
The viper with the horns is very pretty. Do the horns have an utility for the viper like a sensor, a heat dispenser.... ? I like the noise she makes when she rubs her scales...
@@venomman20 good thanks. You? Got more babies the other day...not ofbthe scaley or mammal type...went for something totally new which I've wanted for ages...a praying mantis (specifically the African jewel) and 3 bumblebee poison dart frogs 💞💞💞 so in love 😍 all though anybody that has seen the mantis so far has asked me "when did i get a stick insect?" 😂🙈🤔
I'm not exactly knowledgeable on reptiles, but when handling venomous snakes wouldn't it be advantages to have thick clothing of some description, like maybe thick leather chaps in case of a strike?
In theory, two snakes of about the same size can attempt to mate. But if you're asking if they can produce viable offspring, I found (only) one source that says they can hybridize. (I'm also assuming you're asking about N. naja and N. kaouthia.) The source was Campbell and Quinn, 1975 "Reproduction in a pair of Asiatic cobras, Naja naja" but I can't actually find the source to read it, just quotes of it elsewhere.
@@creaturesgreatandsmall9957 I'm pretty sure I could but they require temps of 60 degrees which is hard to maintain I would almost have to keep it in the refrigerator lol
Does anyone know what baby cerastes vipers eat in nature? I have one that I still have to assist feed even at 18 months old. I feed mouse parts and wax worms, but still too small to eat a whole pinky!
@@venomman20 they are awesome. Cerastes or the desert horn viper is the one that I want. I need to find me one. I am not a breeder nor will I breed, just enjoy the animal.
What makes s man willing to risk his life for something he loves to do? The question is the answer! Some men jump out of airplanes, some hunt lions or Cape buffalo with spears, arrows or darts. Others still, risk their lives jumping off a 10,000 foot mountain peak in a flying suit. There are some who risk their lives in combat and even give their lives for another. Life is full of risks. Which one is worth dying for?
I understand why people love animals and I get its a hobby But this has to be the most dangerous hobby on the planet I can only imagine what it would be like hear in the UK if someone got bit It's not like they have specific antidote on standby How do u live knowing if I take just 1 bite from these things I'm in a world of deep shit I can't think of anything worse Than starting a hobby where I'm not aloud to make a mistake

I wish my state allowed venomous snakes, at least a legitimate legal path to get training to own. Such misunderstood animals.
Beautiful those splitters. Would like to see more but be safe 😘

Cerastes cerastes are sooo cool!
Bring on the spitters, please? But of course, will watch the rest of video.
Another awesome video as always

What forms the horns? Are they a modified scale of some sort?
I do believe it's one long scale over the eye but don't quote me
@@venomman20 In the video it looks polished. Almost like the keratin of antlers or horns. 🤷♂️ Pretty cool either way 😎
👍👌..
How long will they set still without moving

Hey buddy, good looking snakes. I've got a question about cobra I've been wondering if a if a monocled cobra can mate with a spectacled cobra
In theory, two snakes of about the same size can attempt to mate. But if you're asking if they can produce viable offspring, I found (only) one source that says they can hybridize. What's a good enclosure for a sand viper
Naja Pallida??? Please do a video on them if you can! So beautiful!!!
I will see what I can do
Are the sand vipers close in age? Maybe babies in the future?
Be really cool if the Cerastes vipera came in a rattlenake version with the horns.
The sidewinding rattlesnakes have horns almost like these guys otherwise I think that's about as close your going to get
That's pretty close and there's something special about watching them on the move too.
Are you by any chance able to get ahold of the azemiops feae snakes? Some cool characteristics that make it stand apart and looks pretty awesome too.
@@creaturesgreatandsmall9957 I'm pretty sure I could but they require temps of 60 degrees which is hard to maintain I would almost have to keep it in the refrigerator lol
Haha, that is pretty odd. Almost need a tiny room and to put an ac unit in the wall. Would be pretty sweet though.
Are they the same snakes just one with horns one without
No they are pretty different
You need the vipera berus. You NEED it
Those are very hard to keep alive. I have kept them for short stints but just not worth the effort

Pretty hard why do you have venomous snakes I have a Indonesia’s most dangerous cobra
Please take perfect care when teat dangerous animals!
Would those cerastes be classed as sidewinders in the wild? Ha ha just got my answer.
I'd love to rep a T shirt. (coming from tiktok)
Having those gorgeous snakes in those tiny ass plastic boxes is kinda cruel and lame.
Come on .... yes show please the spitting cobras
I will see what I can do
My pallida never spits lmao
You are so lucky lol
When is a new video coming?
Red spitting snake
Why did you quit posting? Realize venomous snakes make terrible pets?

Horned adder? 🤣🤣🤣
Did I call it an adder I didnt catch that in the edit damn
hi
Don’t the horned vipers, rub together their skin to make a noise as well as blending in to the environment? Not an expert
