@@gadsdenjim8785 why would you say “clearly no one paid attention”? That’s almost the only part I bothered to watch. I didn't make the original comment, but . . . . clearly you didn't pay attention to what he said, because he said "I just wish Geissele wold come out with a .308", and nothing in the video (or your comment) indicated that they would. Just like there's no .260rem SCAR, and there never was a 6.5CM OBR, if Geissele thinks they're going to conquer the world with their new 6.5, they may not want to mess with a new gas/accuracy/reliability optimization if "the" gun the military is using is a 6.5.

I appreciate your dedication to quality and hardwork to ensure the best possible product for our warfighters and civilians alike. Thank you guys again for all that you do and please keep advancing and driving the industry forward.
My entry to AR’s were BCM’s. Good for the money and a decent place to start. Once I tried Geissele Super Duties I sold all of my BCM’s and pretty much run exclusively Geissele’s. Super Duty upper plus the Super 42 Buffer Assembly makes them hands down the softest shooting most reliable rifles I own. I love that Geissele caters to the civilian market as much as they do MIL/LE.
I’d stick with bcm and upgrade the parts you need from geissele, barrels triggers recoil systems BCGs and rails (if running lasers) I’d go with geissele but bcm wins for receiver fitment, tightness, gas block quality, etc BCM wins at a better price, bcm also makes the best handguards for small size and good rigidity Buying just the parts you need from geissele can allow you to have a much better gun than any factory offering with a great price
@@Patrick_Bateman____ if your not running a zero’d device that requires rigidity than BCM wins 10/10, better fit weight and it is relatively rigid (mlok is cut only where needed on the inside for example) plus it has a unique and innovative lock up system
@@MatthewC176 I’d agree with all of that. They also heat up little faster but I wouldn’t consider that significant. Any handguard will get hot fast if you dump multiple mags a minute. The heavy forend barrel profile was a result of bore gauging M16A1 barrels where the gauge would hang up at the FSB. They assumed this was from bent barrels, instead of checking carbon fouling and port erosion, which was the actual cause. So with the M16A2, they decided to increase the forend diameter. This also transferred over to the Colt 727 carbine, which had a heavy forend with M203 bracket step cut. That barrel profile was used for the first generation of M4A1s/M4s.
This is great Geiselle background info and news on ALG. I never knew much of this except for the bolts. I have a Super Duty and a holiday sale/Blemish parts Geissele and they are both terrific. The Super Duty is way more accurate than I expected for a non-match rated barrel. I appreciate them even more now!
Engineering, precision, brief metallurgy... I have not even gotten my grubby-unworthy hands on a piece yet; but already have a new favorite weapon. thanks; great video
What a great group of guys! Turns out I live about 20 min from these guys and worked in their town of North Wales for over 20 years. So I was left with no choice but to buy a 5.56 super duty with the PA Keystone emblem right on the lower. Just Awesome!
Thank you for the update! I usually recommend my new gun buddies start with an affordable PSA set up and a bunch of plinking ammo. Once they've outgrown it, I ALWAYS say go super duty, whether it be a completed upper receiver or a whole rifle.
Don't really care about the sling or the optic, likely a lot of people don't. Hopefully they sell these "slick" as well for a couple bills less, otherwise might be seeing a lot of those optics on the resale market. I'm also unsure that omitting MLOK at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions was a good idea for a rail. Usually it's the ones on 45s that are "take it or leave it." Hoping again that they do a full featured rail, or a more standard 3 6 9 version.

Would love to spin up a Geissele for an AI. I know exactly which gunsmith I would send it to and he his very close to Norristown hint: mad scientist at PVA. The new 6.5 looks great, would love to see Geissele engineers build a bipod, maybe even design a precision Ar Butt stock. The 14.5 6 ARC looks cool but bolt life is a problem from what I’ve read on forums in AR platforms, the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel that is hammer forged and chrome lined will replace my MRGGS LMT 6.5 Creedmoor barrel after I shoot it out in a couple of months, the little gun with the 2 stage stock looks to be the Q Honey Badger killer. Might be a little heavier and I love my HB but the cheek weld on it is mediocre at best. The rest is either Fudd stuff or just mediocre. The brownie gun is a nice shade though.
Yes, I wonder what would happen if somebody 3-D printed a barrel with superior, steel something like a very thick Inconel lining instead of chrome it is my personal belief that a full 3-D printed barrel with the advancing technology is the way of the future specially how suppressors are manufactured. One could conceive of a integrally, suppressed rifle barrel, and suppressor combination fully machined I mean 3-D printed together. 😂
I prefer to assemble my own ARs, after they came out the ALG V series was my go-to sub $200 rail, but since they were discontinued I've returned to purchasing rails from BCM, Troy, and even Samson. ALG would get more of my money if they start selling their rails again.
He knows his customers and with that particular rifle, it will be one of the first things replaced. He don't care about no generic ass charging handle. The super charging handle, though I really like that thing. The airborne is too small and awkward for me

I'm super curious to hear reports about the tri gas port setup. From what I understand, anything under 10.3" for 5.56 or 9" for 300bo renders each respective round pretty worthless due to the overgassing and lack of dwell time and super underburned powder. This could possibly change that
@@BarnDoor-won5ve not so much for 300blk, but under 10.3 for 5.56 is useless. I personally wouldn't go under 11.5 for 5.56 because of the big jump in velocity from 10.3/5 - 11.5
