My 13 pro is more than good enough for me. Lowlight photos have aged but I don’t take that many. The only reason I’d ever upgrade whenever I do is to eventually leave the notch behind but it really doesn’t bother me anymore.
The iPhone 13 Pro series is still really great. My girlfriend has a 13 Pro Max and she tells me that there’s rarely any lag and she loves how smooth the OS feels compared to her last iPhone 11. My iPhone 14 Pro Max is still a smooth speedy phone one year later.
I’m using 13 pro max and to be honest it feels like new. The battery health degraded to 87% because of the magsafe. That’s my only issue but other than that. Super fast, camera works great AND, I dropped it so many times lol, no scratches and cracks 😂😂😂 ❤ best phone so far!
My 13 Pro Max had that as well, after 11 months and 10 days, it went down so fast to 93%. Just shocked but not a big deal as I am still enjoy using it.
After one too many crashes from my old Samsung Galaxy A21 (arguably one of the worst phones I ever owned in my life after the loving the S5 and J7) and the S22 Ultra was still 600 to 700 dollars, I bit the bullet and bought a iPhone 13 Pro renewed over the iPhone 14 Pro. To me, spending 800 to 900 on a used iPhone from last year is ludicrous to me and I genuinely do not understand the hype with iPhones. But after setting up my 13 Pro, I finally understood why people and my friends recommended it to me. It checks all my boxes which was, faster processor and memory, more storage at 256gb compared to a lousy 32gb, way better camera (which I never really needed since I own a Sony ZV1), at 4K 30 and 60fps recording and ultra hd pictures, and above all a fast refresh rate for the screen. That's literally all I needed and I didn't see a need for buying the 14 Pro or Max because I'm already getting my money's worth with the 13 Pro alone. None of that fancy stuff to get people to buy. It pained me to switch from Samsung to Apple, but I have to say now I can officially go either way if I need a new phone. EDIT 10/30/2024: So I spoke too soon in existence because my iPhone 13 Pro I bought refurbished from Amazon crashed and died after exactly one month of owning it. It said I had a non genuine battery one day, wouldn't charge, and got stuck on the bootloop with no way to fix it. Took it to Best Buy, and they couldn't fix it either. So I went and returned it and got my money back and got a iPhone 14 Pro Max (this time in premium refurbished condition) about 2 weeks later. Which I hated how I bit the bullet and got a 900 dollar iPhone with the credits they refunded me towards my next purchase, but I wanted to be absolutely sure I'm not crazy and it was just that phone I bought that was the problem. So from me loving my iPhone 13 Pro for the month I had it, and jumping to the 14 Pro Max, I gotta say, all the 14 Pro and Max is basically the 13 Pro/Max with a slightly better camera, 2gb more memory, and a 5% faster processor. Oh and the dynamic island that replaces the notch. Unfortunately I did not get the best color of it which is Deep Purple, and I had to get the Space Black, but I was given a better Prime deal for the 512gb version. I do love my 14 Pro Max I will say. The camera is really amazing and offers game changing zoom and camera quality, and it feels like premium phone. My gripe is that it's not really anything special compared to the 13 Pro/Max if you put them side by side. The only real difference is the screen display and colors, and the notch and dynamic island. Which is cool don't get me wrong, the integration with certain apps like Spotify, Phone calls, uber eats is cool, and it makes the OS feel alot smoother and more fluent. It was just no other feeling I had since the Galaxy S5 of unboxing my iPhone 13 Pro and using it for the first time. If I had a choice again to get a 13 Pro/Pro Max or 14 Pro/Pro Max, I say I'd still go with the 13 because it's still a really good phone in 2024, and it has the physical sim card slot unlike the 14 which has eSim. That's all I wanted to say and give an update.
Overall, iPhone Pro 13 photos are warmer toned. Looking at the headphones and the houseplant, I'm seeing more detail in the shadow areas on the 13 than the 14. On the photo inside the car, there is more detail in the steering wheel on the 13 but the highlights in the sky/clouds are blown out as compared to the 14. Given the larger image sensor, I expect to see better dynamic range with the 14 but the 13 seems to be capturing more detail in shadow areas. Perhaps that's because the iPhone 13 Pro models feature a wider maximum aperture of f/1.5 on the main camera versus f/1.78 on the iPhone 14 Pro? (I have also read that Apple turned down the default sharpening for the 14+ to give photos a more natural appearance.)
If anyone can help me decide, please do lol. I'm from 11pro, now i'm deciding if I should get 14pro or 13pro/pro max. One of the things that really want me to get the 14pro is the dynamic island, i could get it from the base model 15 but people say 14pro is still better plus 15 has this overheating issue and that sucks, although the base 15 is cheaper than the 14pro. The 13pro/max gets in the mix because it's significantly cheaper but it doesn't have the dynamic island that I want. Now my 11pro is dead but still can't decide what to get.
Bro get a 14 pro because it does not have heating issues plus it has the classic mute switch you won't regret it the built quality is more durable than 15 pro
as soon as my eyes glimpsed the word comparison and the name 14 pro, i immediately thought the other phone was the 15 pro. i only realised when you said 13 pro in the video then i looked back at the video title!
i'll be upgrading from an iPhone SE (2022) so i think the camera difference to 13 Pro will be more than enough for me. maybe in the future (if prices drop a bit) i'd wanna upgrade for the better camera, but i think the 13 pro will be more than enough for me now. thanks for the great vid!
photo quality on 14 pro is better but u cannot see differance between them unless u upload on laptop or ipad price differance is way much higher not worth the 14 pro... other extra options on 14 pro that 13 pro dose not have 95% of population do not use them
iPhone 13 Pro is good enough and there isn’t enough reasons to upgrade. That said, many people would still buy the latest iPhones for the prestige so whatever advice given to them goes down the drain 😅
I have it but it seems like my experience is the same with my previous iphone 11😞 i feel like it’s not worth it to upgrade. Android might be a better option😭

@@asekun022does MagSafe degrade iPhone battery health faster?
My 14 Pro still has 100 percent battery health after 11 months, I don’t know what I’m doing right but I like it
It will go down suddenly or very fast and stagnate where it truely is very soon
I use my 14 pro for 4 month and still good

3:32 That’s not even true, they have the exact same chipset and GPU cores. Only the normal 13 (non pro) has 1 GPU core less than the 13 Pro and 14.
The standard 14 and 13 Pro have same A15, the 1 GPU disabled core comes in standard 13 (including 2GB less RAM).
This, I was about to correct it in the comment but you already said it, there are no difference between 14 and 13 pro processors

The extra core for GPU, for 5 in total, is available on 13 pro, 13 pro max, 14, 14 plus, the 4 cores are only on 13 mini and 13.
And the 2022 SE (The A15 w/4 cores)
