We had a new player join, and had everything added, including the small expansions. Wasn't a problem. One problem I have with Ante Up, is a huge amount of the Event Cards move the sheriff over to Buzzard Gulch. This resulted in the Sheriff consistently being over on that map. Especially with 6 players and everyone triggering Events all the time.
it definatly adds a complexity level i dont want personally... BUT they do that with all good games right, the expansion should be for people that want the very deep experience, dune did the same thing
The increased board size does seem like it would make it too roomy unless you were playing with more than 4 players. Probably would work nice with 5 or 6.
It seems like you could make some of the expansion modular, just leave out the components or parts you don't want. I don't see why that wouldn't be the case, except for the board part where both parts are included.
I like more stuff for sure, and can’t wait to get this, but TV is exactly right...there is way too much going on with this expansion and it should have been with some modularity. The base already has a ton going on which when I have played with new players it is hard for them to decide what to do. This is going to make player turns even longer with all the choices to be made. I am very excited for it as it is one of my favorite games. I think the train robbing will be a blast, and if I am not mistaken, there are now enough characters to give each player one of each to choose from (wanted, Marshall, undecided) at start of game.
Question to anyone. Has anyone found that with two players, but each picking two characters, makes up for any lacks such as player interaction? (Me and my wife like to pick 2 each and play Talisman 4th ed)
My issue with this is more isn't necessary better. Western legends is great because of the player interaction and having more space now means the players won't be interacting as much, if at all. Theyll just be playing the game "solo".
I really wanted to like this game, but unless you have 5 players who love the sandbox Old Western theme, it plays kinda meh. Plus it has multiple female characters but only one female mini. Poor form.
JUST STOP. What is it with you people and your incessant hunt for social injustice...to the point you invent it? There are at least THREE female minis in the base game alone!

Still waiting for the add-on with rules that let my gang bust me outta the jail! C’mon, so many western tropes to add!
Where's my component drop ?

No component drop? :)
Melodi not there to resort anymore. XD

Does the expansion really come with the bigger tokens automatically? I thought with the kickstarter that was an add-on?
The Kickstarter add on was for plastic versions instead of cardboard. You get bigger cardboard ones regardless.

Oof. Wish I could afford the base game and both expansions. Looks like a hoot.
Wondering why the Train miniature was not shown, did Kolossal games not give Tom permission and why?
No component drop at the start either... perhaps he filmed that and the train broke :D
Buzzard, buzz-urd. As in the bird
Worst. Component drop. Ever!!

I have another question about this... are there any playable black characters in the game?
@@345345asdasd......would be crazy to p!ay that black guy from Blazing Saddles tho !!!
Not true, one of the bandit-looking characters is actually a female. Look closely
