Horizon Forbidden West is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A sequel to 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Western United States recovering from the aftermath of an extinction event caused by a rogue robot swarm. The player can explore the open world and complete quests using ranged and melee against hostile machine creatures.

This game looks and plays incredible let's hope GoW gets the same improvement in graphics
God of War 4 (2018) and GOW Ragnarok equally have impressive gameplay and graphics.
I don't own a TV that supports VRR but even in performance mode on my 2020 Bravia 55 4K OLED this game looks gorgeous & runs smooth on PS5 :)

Technically graphics is the best, but animations are different story.
Still like red dead redemption 2 graphics and animations more, and close second the last of us 2, forbidden west is my third favourite one
@@diamonds972 you have got to be insane to actually think that. Besides a few strange things with the hair physics, the animation in this game is also a masterpiece. All motion tracked including the facial expressions..it actually looks real. The characters are not only poorly modeled in RDR2, but the animations are pretty aweful..especially compared to Horizon Forbidden West. I havent played last of us, but to compare HFW in any way graphically to RDR2 is hilarious to me.
It’s a beautiful game near perfect however, some of the mechanics are a bit clunky. Riding mounts, climbing, even dodging. If these things were smother this game would be flawless.
I have ps5 but how can i get such graphics, because its already 4k but not with realistic graphics. Did i need to buy good tv or what

You can get 4k at that frame rate from what I've seen its not 60 though it's capped or varies down to 40 at 120 hz
@@mking8242 Casual Mininformation. Its not capped first of all, second of all it barely ever varies down to 40, avg is well above 60, second of all, the vrr 120hz mode has dynamic resultion that averages around 1800p.
Sorry for commenting here. I have a problem when I set the VRR turn on my tv, the game have half screen flickering. Anyone have this problem?

Where is 4k120fps on next gens ??? I was playing zero dawn on my pc 4k 80fps max settings. Bought ps5 for that game ....and wtf is wrong .any settings blurry when looking around. Only performance are acceptable but 1080p .😫

I just played through for the first time after waiting for it to drop on PC, and I gotta say, all the negative reviews are absolute garbage. Probably because most of the reviewers aren't story-driven/RPG gamers. This game is definitely up there among my favorites. If a person says they're bored after only a few hours, then they obviously didn't play it long enough, because this game is 150 to 200+ hours to complete.

You won't. Your understanding of the modes is wrong..
Hz and fps are different things. The balanced is 4k 40fps. Performance is 1800p 60fps and resolution is 4k 30fps. But you van use balanced if u have a 120hz monitor or tv. 120hz doesnt meen fps, its how smooth the screen is in cutscenes and gameplay, not the frames per second

you dont need to do anything ,just choose balance mode in game and your C1 will show 120hz(which is strange)

so far only ratchet and clank dimension apart mail at 4k at 120hz dynamic
I don't know what it is but none of the settings naturally look good on ps5. Image quality suffers when moving the camera in all modes. Only way to get the 4k 60hz feel is to play with cine motion on and resolution mode. Only one that works great

It's all about motion resolution of your tv.
Well I don't think I need a new TV. Other games play just fine in performance mode. It's just this game. And I've tried other tvs. And my TV is somewhat newer with hdmi 2.1. Regardless turning on cine motion allows me to play resolution mode and still get that 60fps feel. I just thought it was weird that I even had to turn it on for low modes

@@peromu215 the htz is what is capable of the fps. Like for example if you have a game that came run 120fps and a tv on runs at 60htz that’s means that game is topping off at 60fps. Horizon west doesn’t even run at 120 it runs at 60 so a 60 htz tv is just fine and mine can do 120 so it running 60 is a breeze and smooth. If his tv is capable of 120 but he’s saying he’s running in the visual mode and not performance ooooo ok but he said it all wrong then lol.

pretty but gameplay is nothing different than old ass ps3 days. No new inovative designs, no physics exceeding the first game, enemies are still locked to boundaries due to developing the game around console hardware.

Looks good, But I'm bored before video was half done. Just another open world with repetitive tasks an absolutely no fun.
I laugh when people call a game they haven’t played boring. this is just a showcase of graphics and from like the first 2 hours of the game. if you actually played it you’ll see it’s got alot of mechanical depth between the weapons and how they are used against the 30+ machines you’ll discover.
@@TheBlademan- if its anything like the first id have to pass, it felt like ubisoft could have released this game. Just a formulaic open world with fake depth to it, so it'll feel full.

I use a 1440p monitor to play ps5 and my game look quite worse than this. I cannot even activate the new balance mode
I have a 1440p monitor as well with my PS5 and what i discovered after buying the PS5 is that it does not even support 1440 except for a few specific monitors so it's actually running in 1080p.
You might want to check on that and see if that's your problem too
