My husband and I are 6 weeks Carnivore & it is INCREDIBLE! Mid 50's & almost immediately both of us dropped weight & have no more joint pain...no more creeking & lube time in the morning, haha!
Hey fyi...I throw all my bones, veggie scraps like the bottom of celery, mushrooms & onion peels in a freezer bag (keep it going) & when I have enough I use my slow cooker on low for 2 or 3 DAYS! It gets every bit of marrow out & makes the most incredible bone broth! No fuss then sift out the scraps & pressure can it up. Its AMAZING! I have SO much. We'll never run out! So nutrient dense! Keep drinking that Nana! Love you guys!
And please do lots more Carnivore menu items. Love that ❤

I went carnivore after watching Jordan Peterson talk about it. Researched for awhile and finally made the jump. I’ve dropped 60 pounds and counting… never felt better. Can’t wait to hear more about your journey!

When I make bone broth I do 2- 90 minutes sessions at high pressure and it’s nice and gelatinous if I use plenty of bones! Then I refrigerate it, skim the fat before freezing it. I used to sell it at the farmers market for $10 per quart 😊

Susan I cook my bone broth in the slow cooker for 24-48 hours, with the apple cider vinegar, the bones become very soft. I’ve got an Instapot but have not used it yet. They say to cook the broth low and slow. I’ve never added garlic cloves before but it sounds delicious.

Carvinore since April, after 15 years vegan, and have never felt better ❤ I began not being able to eat most plants, because of my immune system issues that kept getting worse (and/or histamine intolerance)... felt better immediately after going carnivore. My stomach got better, as opposed to hearing others day it upsets them.

You must add the Apple cider vinegar ( I add a little more than a 1/4 -1/3 cup) to break the bone down when cooking your bone broth. High low ready doesn’t matter as long as the bones are very soft mushy & marrow is out of the center if this doesn’t happen cook longer. I cook mine for 48 hours in my NESCO roaster. On 350 for the first 6 hours then 250 the rest of the time adding water when I check the first 36 hours. I want the broth to have gelled & a fat cap once I cool over night. I do most of our broth in the fall & winter. After garden season & canning. I have beef bones from our cow we have butchered. I have way too many & larger bones than an instant-a pot can hold. GOD BLESS

Indeed, everyone is different. It’s important to know kidney labs. Kidney function begins to wane after about age 40. Nine out of 10 folks diagnosed with chronic kidney disease are w/o awareness of it before testing and diagnosis. I mention this because those w. CKD (chronic kidney disease), depending on the stage of the condition, may need to restrict animal protein and animal fat.

Love this! I'm 69 and a year ago, my doctor told me to get more protein. I had been whole food plant based for 6 years. This farm girl from Kansas was happy to oblige. I've been meat based now for a year and really enjoy it. I have an occasional piece of my daughter's homemade Christmas bread but really feel much better joint wise with lower carb. I was so surprised when I heard Sarah saying they were carnivore! I'd be interested in how you learned about this diet. (Books, etc.) I'm just kind of winging it. I also lost a few lbs and am at my "wedding" weight! YAAY! Now I want to make a roast!

My mom always made bone broth for soup. It’s the only way I know to make soup. The bones you pulled out were not fully done. The whole center should be gooey and fall out of the bone when it’s done. If you put those bones in the freezer, you could maybe use them again.

Great information and food today. I started eating low oxalate, basically carnivore, after struggling with kidney stones. I’ve never felt better since I started my journey 3 years ago. I’ve lost weight but the biggest milestone is I’ve lost my arthritis, restless leg syndrome, constant heartburn, cramps in feet, my eczema has cleared up and overall I feel great. I recommend reading Sally K Norton’s book “Toxic Superfoods”.

Papa's Recipes look delish and it's great to see they are increasing their protein, however these dishes are definitely not carnivore, Papa.
    Strict carnivore only eat meat.
The average carnivore diets include meat and meat biproducts such as eggs and dairy.
Vegetables, plants and herbs are definitely not part of the carnivore diets.
    Including garlic powder..😊🙏🏼

    Please pray for me.
Hi Sarah's amazing parents and loved papa and nana to the kids. This was fascinating. I've researched quite a bit on a carnivore based diet. I couldn't follow it because I only have one metre left of my intestine after being sick since I was a child. At the moment I can barely drink my prescribed drinks. I have no quality of life and I lost both of my parents in the last few years. I've lived 12 years longer than the two years my team of specialists gave me. There is a 85% chance I won't survive the surgery to remove the blocked part of my 1 metre of intestine but the other option is that I will slowly die. Obviously there is a lot more details and more complex medical issues but I don't want to bore anyone. I've asked God to do what is supposed to happen even if that means I have to slowly die in pain because He may have another purpose for me. So I'm not asking people to pray for me to live just that God will carry me through it all. Thank you ❤

    • @57msdeb
      @57msdeb 14 днів тому +2

Our supermarket sells beef bones, but if you go to the butcher and ask for bones for broth, they’ll know what you want. I try to find organic ones. If I make chicken broth, I buy organic chicken. I add apple cider vinegar, garlic, celery and onion along with some salt, ginger, turmeric, and pepper. I cook mine in my crock pot for at least 24 hours.

    I love your channel "papa"....
You can use the bones again, but it would not make the "beneficial" broth you are striving for. It will be very weak and frankly, probably not worth the time.
Boxed broth that is deemed "bone broth" is basically just BROTH. When you make your own as you have done, you are pulling out the collagen which is the ultimate benefit of this style broth. The collagen will make your broth jell. Boxed broth does not jell.
Adding the apple cider vinegar, breaks down the bones and pulls out more of that collagen. The bones should be a lot softer now and great for dogs and chickens
I recommend drinking that broth with the fat. It is a good healthy fat and also beneficial on your "meat diet" journey

Do chop the marrow, fry it with your eggs or put it sliced on a piece of toast, or eat it right out of the bone. All the inner parts of an animal are very healthy, but not every culture has an appreciation for it. My German Mother fed us raw liver, seasoned with salt and pepper - we liked it so much. I must admit, the thought of it now makes me . . . . well, let's not talk about it. - I like your cooking show, thank you for sharing your passion and may the Lord continue to protect you and your Family.
