- We unbox, set-up and review the Equaliser Neutron wireless tattoo machine from KWADRON and talk you through its features.
The Equaliser Neutron is a wireless, pen-style tattoo machine - so no more cables and power supplies!
Compared to Equaliser's Wireless Pen V2, the Neutron has an updated Printed Circuit Board (PCB), which is now more stable and damage-resistant. In addition, the rotary machine now lies more firmly in your hand thanks to the revised shape of the grips.
This tattoo machine comes with an aluminium grip with a 32 mm diameter, as well as two additional non-slip silicone grips (32 and 35 mm). A charger is also included in the box that allows you to charge two batteries simultaneously.
The Equaliser Neutron has a 4.5 W motor, a 3- or 4-mm stroke, direct drive, adjustable needle depth, and built-in Jump Start.
This wireless tattoo pen comes with 2 removable batteries, so you can charge one while working with the other. The batteries offer up to 8 hours working time and will take around 2 hours to fully charge.

Hey guys, it’s Liam from Killer Ink here, and today I’m going to be showing you the Equaliser Neutron wireless tattoo pen.
The Neutron is the successor to Equaliser’s Wireless Pen and joins KWADRON’s line-up of exceptional tattoo machines, all designed with quality and convenience in mind.
So, let’s take a closer look.
The Equaliser Neutron is a wireless, pen-style rotary machine with two removable batteries, meaning no more cables or power supplies.
Having two batteries in the box means that you can charge one while working with the other. Each battery offers up to eight hours of working time and will take around two hours to fully charge, so the machine is ideal for longer sittings or when you’re tattooing larger pieces.
Plus, the team at KWADRON has included a dual battery charger with the Neutron which allows for both batteries to be charged simultaneously.
Equaliser's wireless Neutron tattoo pen has an aluminium housing and features a clear digital display at the top and three buttons here for operating the machine. The digital display shows the voltage, battery level and the time that has elapsed since switching on the machine, which resets every time you switch the Neutron off.
This rotary machine has a 4.5-Watt motor, a 3- or 4-millimetre stroke, direct drive, adjustable needle depth, and built-in Jump Start. In addition to these features, the Equaliser Neutron offers a voltage range between 5 and 12 Volts and is adjustable in increments of 0.1 Volts, so you can accurately modify the settings to suit your individual preference. However, 6-10 Volts is the recommended range.
Compared to Equaliser’s Wireless Pen V2, the Neutron has an updated Printed Circuit Board which is now more stable and damage-resistant. In addition, the rotary machine now lies more firmly in your hand thanks to the revised shape of the grips.
The Neutron comes with an aluminium grip with a 32-millimetre diameter, as well as two additional non-slip silicone grips in two sizes: 32 and 35 millimetres.
Rounding off the additional items in the box are replacement O-rings in case the one fitted in your machine is damaged over time. Also, those who purchase the Equaliser Neutron will receive a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind.
Measuring 130 millimetres in length and weighing 170 grams without the battery, or 200 grams with one included, the Neutron is a lightweight, wrist-friendly machine and comfortable to use over longer sessions.
Designed by KWADRON in Poland, the Equaliser Neutron is available in three colours: Black, Red, and Silver, and can be ordered from Killer Ink via the link in the description below.
So now that we’ve introduced you to the Equaliser Neutron, what do you think? Will this KWADRON rotary be your next tattoo machine? As always, let us know in the comments below, hit that like button and don’t forget to subscribe to our UA-cam channel! - Навчання та стиль
I just Wanted to say thank you, Your videos helped me figure out what I was looking for. Ordered my Machine today! :D
Great Video! Thanks again!
Glad to hear it, you're welcome!
Is this good for beginners?
Is 3.0 better than 4.0 as all-rounder, im considering my first machine. They say 3.5 is good, but probably 3.0 will be better for smoother shading and maybe good enough for lining, whats your take?
Hi, 3.0 will be a good choice for an all-rounder.
I bought one but I can't remove the grip, and it's coming out clockwise, but in the end it stays stuck and won't let go, and the strangest thing is the direction because counterclockwise it's going up, I think it came with a manufacturing defect and Unfortunately, I purchased directly from the company's website and not from a store
Hey, if you give it a light pull down whilst twisting and it should come off. Failing that, you can contact Kwadron directly for further advice 😊
My friend got one of these but the battery has stopped working , do u know where she can get a replacement battery too ?
Hey, you can use almost any 18500 battery with this machine, we don't stock them however they are readily available online 😊
I just ordered one now… :) 3.5 black
what do you think about this machine?
@@besli5075 very good machine but after 1 year I don’t know if it’s the digital display or the battery but the battery life runs down quick.
I have a question, friend, is the USB type C port that is on the top of the machine to charge the battery that is inside the machine or do you have to remove the battery every time it is discharged????
Hi Daniel, you can charge it via the USB-C port at the top, but the quickest way to charge the batteries is to use the included battery dock. The dock also gives the option to use a fresh battery in the machine while the other is charging.
Looks a great choice, but i dont know if this machine much better than the Mast Archer? Is there a big difference between them really? I still work with E. Proton Rca cable, but i wonder to change to wireless
Hi Ágnes, we can't comment on the Mast Archer as we don't stock it, but the Neutron is a great wireless machine that comes with 2 batteries that you can easily swap out for convenience and ease of use.
Thanks a lot! Loved your video btw :)
As i love my Machine, so i know which im gonna buy ☺️ have a nice day
Hi ! I want to start, i’m in balance with the equalizer neutron, and the cheyenne sol nova unlimited.
One is half price than the other, is it really a big difference beetween this two pen ?
Sorry for my poor english, and thank to you for and advice you can give me.
Sam.
Hi Samuel, you can check out our video review of the Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited here: ua-cam.com/video/gvNh0mN6J0w/v-deo.html
They're both great machines and it simply comes down to personal preference, as well as what stroke length you want to use.
How do i chanhe a grip. I have never had a wireless machine, this is my first one. And i dont want to break it out of the box. I have read a comment "just take it apart", that doesnt help.
Hi, twist the grip anti-clockwise and the grip will come off. You may need to pull the grip slightly while doing this, particularly nearer the end of the twisting. Then you can attach your chosen grip by pushing it on and twisting clockwise.
@@KillerInkTattooEU Tnx so much. I tought its a pop-off like a battery change, but its a screwing thing.
When this product can be livered also in Romania?
I’m considering buying this machine as a substitute for my Cheyenne Sol Nova unlimited (that I lost sadly), will I be disappointed with this one in comparison? I had a 4.0 stroke and planning on buying the 4.5
Hey, the Neutron machines are really popular and affordable. The feedback we have from artists is very positive!
Is This Machine suitable with all cartridges on your website or is it just the kwadron ones?I have Never used a wireless one with cartridges before so i don’t know which one to get😅
Hi Josefin, all cartridges are compatible except the Stigma ones.
@@KillerInkTattooEU Thank you! 🙏🏼
Hi, could you tell me what disposable grips are compatible with this machine? I bought it recently and cant find any disposable grips for it.
Hey, unfortunately there are no disposable grips compatible with this machine at the moment.
@@KillerInkTattooEU so that means i need an autoclave for sterilization right?
Hi, is good for all ?? Line, shadow and filling ??
Hi, it's been designed as an all-rounder, so good for everything.
I have this one, good machine and easy to wrap..but does this machine need to be lubricated? And if so with what and how? Cheers!
Hey, we wouldn't recommend lubricating this machine, as it is all internal and doesn’t require any additional grease 😊
@@KillerInkTattooEU thanks for your reply! Apreciate it! 👍🏻
I brought one of these a while back but havnt used it much. Ive forgot what stroke i went for do you know how i can find out?
Hey Joe! It should say in the instructions or on the box itself.
Hey, you said the voltage range is from 5-12. I mostly do dotwork on 3.5-4. Is it possible to do dotwork with this machine on voltage 5?
Hey Natalia, yes it's still possible to do dotwork on 5V, however, it may need some getting used to as it goes a little quicker than 3.5 - 4V!
The display is exactly the same as the mast archer max..
So are the grips
How many Volts should be tattoo with this pen?
It depends on your style
How would you clean the silicone grip...or are these a one time use tester thing it comes with?
Hi, you can use rubbing alcohol to clean the silicone grips, however please be aware that harsh chemicals will have a deteriorating effect on it over time.
How to change the grip? it's impossible, it can't be removed, what am I doing wrong with it? help me please
Hi Alexandra, you should just be able to twist the grip anti-clockwise until it comes off - it might just require a bit of force. If you are still struggling, we suggest you contact the company you purchased it from.
Do i need an autoclave for the grip? Or how do i sterilize the machine
Hey, the aluminium grip is autoclavable and recommended. For the machine we would advise covering it and then wiping it down to sterilize as this part is not autoclavable.
can you find the stroke length on the machine itself ? i want to buy a used one but the seller doesnt know about the stroke
Hey, the stroke length isn't specified on the machine, however, you can find it in the manual within the first few pages.
Hey guys!! I wrote you few days ago! And bought Neutron. Its great, really, my bishop fantom is worst than this one, really!, Lining is amazing! But i have one question....its minimum flight of cartridge as u can put...its too much for shadows, not?)) With it flight i scratch a skin, no?))
Hey, we’d recommend twisting the grip. If it doesn’t adjust when twisting, try removing the grip and re attaching. On this particular machine, the needle depth adjustment is separate from the grip so it may just need syncing up again.
Hello bro, is this machine heavy with the battery? I now use a fantomy it is very light
Hey! i was wondering what range of needle sizes works optimally with this pen machine? I just purchased it and am new to pen models, so i dont want to burn out the machine like coils do when you use a needle too big..
Hey! It depends what stroke length you are using, we would suggest looking at a longer option if you are looking at bigger needle configurations.
@@KillerInkTattooEU im using the 3.5 stroke length! :)
HI, can I remove the grip for cleaning? Thanks
Hi Jonathan, yes the grip is removable for cleaning. Just keep twisting anti-clockwise and it will come off.
Where can I get more srcews? It came with 3 middle screws and i've alredy lost 2. I've also asked on every hardware store in my area with no luck.
Hey Unai, you can check with KWADRON directly or speak to whoever you purchased the machine from, as they can get the exact part(s) required. If you purchased from Killer Ink, please email our team at info@killerinktattoo.co.uk
@@KillerInkTattooEU 🖤 thx
Hey,how do you clean it? is it possible to use disposable grips?
Hey, you can clean it using alcohol wipes, we also don't stock disposable grips that are compatible with this machine.
@@KillerInkTattooEU inside of the grip I mean,is it necessary to use autoclaw? Or I can just clean it with the alcohol wipes after the tatto?
Hi this machine is good for smooth shading?
Hi, thanks for your question! This machine is very polyvalent but it may take some trial and error to get the right settings! 😊
They changed the battery charger to a digital display. It’s better.
Hi is it possible to install a 25 mm grip on it ?
Hi,
Thanks for your message,
Unfortunately there is no grip size below 32MM on the machine at this time!
I can’t find anywhere the manufactures instructions for best cleaning, can anyone give advice please? I’m thinking of buying this or the proton. Thanks :)
Hi, wipe down the machine when cleaning and disinfecting and don't soak it. Remove the grip and treat it as you would a normal grip when going through the sterilisation process, as it is one solid piece with no mechanism. The same goes for the proton.
@@KillerInkTattooEU hey how should I sterilize the silicone grip?thank you
@@belkobulko9791 Hey, unfortunately the silicone grip cannot be sterilised.
This machine is good for fine line?
Hi Margarida, the Equaliser Neutron is good for a variety of styles, including fine lining.
I got this machine recently, and I cant figure out how to put on the additional grips. How do you attach them?
Hi, just twist and remove the grip that's already on the machine and then attach the additional grip. If you're experiencing any issues, please email info@killerinktattoo.co.uk
@@KillerInkTattooEU I got it thanks!
@@xtina26 Thanks for asking! I was wondering it too!♡
Do you have any comparison to other machines, How it perform in comprison to more expensive cheyenne or maybe cnc? Is it good for shading as well as lining? Which version do you have(wich stroke)?
Hi, theres basically no info on internet how good this machine is, im cosnsidering buying, did you use other machines previously and have opinion on how Neutron performing against them?
I got this. Very nice!
Do you have comparison to cheyenne maybe?
Which stroke do you have?
hi bro this machine is good for liner 9rl and shading? can I get your Instagram?
What is it's net weight ?
Hi, the Equaliser Neutron weighs 170 g without the battery and 200 g with it included.
Will you be getting any more of these in stock?
Hi Matthew, they're in stock here: www.killerinktattoo.co.uk/tattoo-machines/equaliser/equaliser-neutron
@@KillerInkTattooEU cheers, when I looked earlier and yesterday on the app it’s said out of stock but that works! Thanks again
That may have been the Equaliser Wireless Pen V2 - the Neutron is the successor to that machine and shares many similarities.
good for beginners?
Hey Savannah, yeah this machine is perfect for beginners, very user friendly and great quality too!
@@KillerInkTattooEU thank you it just got in the mail today and I can’t wait to try it 🔥
Hi, I have a Equaliser Neutron Wireless pen and I have been working for a year, with shading and filling everything is ok but with the lines it's not good
Hi Klod, the Equaliser Neutron is now available with a 4.0 mm stroke length which is more suitable for lining if you're interested.
@@KillerInkTattooEU please can you let me know if the 4.0 mm stroke is good for lining with this needle sizes: 01RL 03RL and 05RL? Or it’s just for bigger needles? Should I get the 3.5mm stroke for fineline work? Thank you
@@isabelacabral835 did you first get a 3.0 or a 3.5?
Hi there, I ordered this machine yesterday and they said it’s 3.5mm stroke, is that like the medium stroke, compatible for both lining and shading?
Yes. 3.5mm is medium. But you will need the 4mm for thick lines and needles above 30.11
Hey, it's considered the ‘happy medium’. All Neutron machines are capable of being all-rounders, so the stroke length option is just down to preference.
@@KillerInkTattooEU but the 3.5mm will struggle with lines. I have the 4mm and it works really well. But dont shade with the 4mm.
@@HurtigeHelene i make Lines and Perfect shade with 4mm
Looks like a mast..
My Brother
Which on is better? This equalizer or Ez P3 Pro?
Hey! Unfortuantley we don't stock the EZ P3 Pro so we can't really compare. However, the Neutron has interchangeable batteries, where it is easier and cheaper to acquire extras. The Neutron will be a more reliable option although it does not have an adjustable stroke length like the P3 Pro Equaliser Neutron Wireless Tattoo Machine. Hope this helps! 😊
