So the Marksman gives the unit Din Djarin's infinite range snipe. Not only that but you could conceivably field multiple of them in a squad and multiple squads as well and make the map a killing field for any character not behind LOS blocking terrain. That seems pretty good to me.

I'm excited for this and the Sleeper Cell, but im baffled by the pricing for the marksmen. 28 or 30 points on a close range unit to have a 75% chance to waste an action? Maybe makes slightly more sense on the riot troopers, who can at least miss the marksman shot, then charge into melee? As opposed to the sleepers giving up their aim and dodge from moving?
Do you think the shield guys should have them attached after you paint? It looks like it could be difficult to paint around. Other than that, looks like a great set.
I agree, until now i thought the KX-Droids would add a red die for range 1-3 but only in melee? Then the fact that apparently those big shields only shield you, if enemies are up close to you, a weird design choice in my opinion. And don't get me started about the marksman, holy bantha poo! Maybe i will get one box for the collection, but i don't see them replacing my trusty Stormtroopers or even be fielded next to them. A bit of a shame, the droids look very cool.
@@CruxOfTheMatter Yeah a few additional rules or tweaks could make them good or good enough, but as it stands just not going to cut it, at least if you are playing more competitively.

Was kinda hoping the KX series would be its own unit instead of a heavy upgrade, but these are still interesting. Also the new sprew type looks cool...is there much room for custom stormtrooper builds like some of the CIS droids?

The Stormtrooper Marksman doesn't seem very good. One extra mini is nice, but it's ability doesn't seem worth it. A 2 out of 8 chance seems really low for an action, I feel like it's never going to be used. It seems like it should be a free action to be viable. I'm not sure though, it could make it too good. Despite that they seem like a good unit.
Picking up mine today. Looking forward to painting this weekend. I'm looking forward to a more regular release schedule.

ROFL I know right? Sometimes having 3 pieces that connect, yet each of them is on a separate sprue - drives me nuts!
In GW's defense, the sprues can be used to make pretty sweet medieval city maps for D&D, for any DMs listening 😂

Man, you could do a great kitbash/paint job with these guys and make them into Roman Legionaire Storm troopers.

These guys look cool, but I'm bummed they nerfed the regular storm melee. I feel like these guys do enough that they didn't need to nerf the regulars.

I'm wondering if you get 2 red dice and Impact 2 whilst both KX droids are in the squad?
Yeah the miniatures each gain the benefit of the card, so while you still have 2 KX series you'll have 2 red and impact 2.

There are some things I'll connect after painting but shields I almost never do. I can see why some would though.
Riot control squad looks cool and I like the the look to the upgrades. Overall though they are a bit underwhelming.

Assumed the marksman was a leader too. I think I'll avoid the orange pauldron too.
The old card's art-style also seperates it from other games art-styles making it unique

The marksman might be used to kill of a unit that has 1 health left. I could see it as tool in your back pocket, but the price is probably too high
